I explained the unique situation at hand, which was speech delay and that he needed to be in a smaller class setting for extra support. She ASSURED me that the Fort Lauderdale location would be ideal and accommodating because they just opened up. I took the day off from work to tour the place. I showed up with my child to see it. Red flag number one was that they didn't even know I was coming. Red flag number two was the two idiots in the front speaking in Spanish assuming I didn't understand, going back and forth regarding who was going to show me around. Last red flag, was them rejecting me and my son, lying to my face saying there isn't any space for him. How is there no space and the class sizes are small due to it being a new location? Also, why tour me then? I feel like they just wrote me off because my son was a little fidgety wanting to look around like any 2 yr. old. This place is unprofessional and unkind.

He loves his teachers who are so caring and really help the children learn and grow . Almost every day my son comes home and tells me something new he learned at school from what state we live in, to the planets, and the lifecycle of a butterfly. If you're thinking about sending your kids here, don't hesitate, you won't regret it!

The place is clean, back yard is amazing and they make sure every day is filled with fun activities My son moved to public school after kindergarten and he was so advanced. They reached them to love reading, to praise God and respect family. They prepare them to be good citizens of the world. Some of the teachers are 10+years with the school it's great to know that same teachers here raised both of my kids. The prices are very reasonable compared to other daycares but the quality of their services is very high.

Pride and joy came recommended by my neighbor whose kids went there until they aged out and had nothing but amazing things to say. Soon I came to find several people from my neighborhood went there. So we decided to tour it and meet the team. I felt comfortable immediately after meeting Miss Carrie and my daughters to be teacher miss Mickey. They are two of the warmest, most welcoming and loving people. The ideal people to work in this industry. My daughter was a little over one when she started in early 2023. She absolutely LOVED going to school. Would run inside and not look back at me once. What I loved most is how small the school is. All the teachers even for the other grades know all the children and they frequently help out each others classes. The class sizes are also super small which allows for a lot of direct attention which was something my high maintenance child needed. They quickly learn all the children by name and know exactly who everyone's parents are. It's a very close knit program and I loved that. I also loved that they cleaned their own facility and didn't hire outside companies so they are able to oversee that everything is held to a certain standard. This past year my daughter was only sick twice and as a 1-2 year old class I'd say that's REALLY good and I credit it to how well they upkeep their rooms. Communication with team and her teachers is very open and I am always able to get ahold of someone if I ever have a question or concern. It's tremendous to see how much my daughter learned being there. Often times she would randomly say or do something at home we had no idea she could do and we just assumed she learned at school, like the first time she pointed at a picture of an apple and said Apple. They have a great educational curriculum and they don't just sit your child in front of a TV. All in all I would absolutely recommend pride and joy. We loved everything about it there and are so sad to have to leave (we're moving out of state due to my husbands job). In fact it's one of the hardest parts about leaving because as a mom of now 2, finding a school you are whole heartedly comfortable with is a rare find. I can only hope we find somewhere even half as great as pride and joy. I will forever compare every school experience back to the expectations I learned here. Thank you Miss Mickey, Miss Edilima, the new assistants and Miss Carrie (as well as the teachers in the other classes) who have always treated my girl like your own. I truly believe she is such a happy, social, smart little girl because of your amazing team! We will miss you all!!

I agree with those reviews…read more We had tried BBI, a much more strict and expensive school, but one of our boys was being bullied by both the teachers and students. He was frequently left out, sent to sit with the office manager (bc the director was never there), called names, and accused of having bad intentions for simple accidents or misunderstandings, which only made him less interested in participating. After that horrible experience, my main objective in searching for a school was finding caring teachers. I found caring teachers at Kids. My active child is no longer being publicly shamed for doing silly things like a yoga stretch in the classroom. Both of my boys' personalities are accepted and cherished, and they are both doing well at Kids. The VPK classroom keeps Kindergarten preparation fun and effective. They offer a weekly Soccer Shots class for an additional fee that combines the ages, starting at age 2. They also have an optional yoga class and optional pizza day. Sometimes they have events like pajama day, or events inspired by the books they were reading like a breakfast party for reading If You Give a Pig A Pancake. Another good thing about Kids is that they are very transparent, posting the curriculum and books they are reading, as well as welcoming parents at any time. I believe the teachers have a good balance of enforcing classroom rules and being patient and understanding enough to support a child who is still learning how to follow those rules.

I feel they are learning so much more. My kids have opened their minds up and are blossoming. I would have to say that Ms. Beth runs a very tight ship. She is always looking out for the better interest for the kids to learn and be well taken care of. I highly recommend this school for parents looking for a school in the Fort Lauderdale area. I asked to see the cameras and we saw Mercedes being violent and rough with my daughter. She hit her head because she could not control her temper (the caregiver, not the child!). My daughter was 2 years old at the time. The director, which tends to be rude but chose to be more diplomatic considering the obvious, agreed that the caregiver lost her temper and that it was wrong. However, refused to move the teacher from my daughter´s classroom. She said we would have to move my daughter to a different level instead. Needless to say, my daughter did not come back to that school. We even filed a police report that indicated that the caregiver must practice better patience with children. You would expect that from a teacher of 2 year old children! The caregiver was a few weeks without pay but then went back to work. Regardless if she is still there or not, I would advise all parents to stay away from this center. They allowed this behavior to happen. This person should have been fired. Please do your research and put your kids in a facility where the caregivers genuinely care about your children. My daughter had an emotional impact from her experience in this place. To top it off, they tried to put it on my daughter saying that she used to cry all the time. What a lame justification of wrong adult actions. Stay away from this place! I have to give star but I would give them -0
