Both of my boys have attended Education Station since they were 2 years old. One is now 7 and the other is turning 5, and we couldn't love this school more. The teachers are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, and my boys have always felt safe, comfortable, and supported. Watching them thrive academically and emotionally has been such a gift. I want to take a moment to recognize Tina Sokol at Education Station Preschool. Tina works in administration, the front desk, and as a teacher, and she truly goes above and beyond in every role she takes on. Since the preschool transitioned to new ownership, Tina is honestly the main reason my child and I have chosen to remain at Education Station. She has consistently upheld the promises she made to us about keeping the children safe and maintaining a supportive, structured environment. She takes the time to listen to parents' concerns and requests, including those regarding curriculum and the needs of individual children. Ms. Stacey also brought that same level of care and dedication while she was there. Since she has been gone, I've really relied on Ms. Tina and Ms. Alicia. Ms. Alicia is also amazing, and together they have continued to provide the support, protection, and educational care that parents hope their children receive at school. Tina has always been professional, responsive, and thorough--especially when it comes to communication and documentation when needed. She has also offered genuine support and help whenever questions or situations arise, which means a lot as a parent. What stands out the most is that Tina truly cares about the children and the relationships she builds with families. She is kind, compassionate, and trustworthy--qualities that are incredibly important when someone is responsible for helping care for and guide our children during their school day. The kids clearly love her, and it shows in the way they interact with her every day. The owner of the school (Kelly) has officially crossed the line. On Friday, October 20th at 4:30 PM, Kelly illegally removed my girlfriend from the pick up list. At first she said it was because she was unable to contact the mother. The mother meanwhile, jealous of the new girlfriend, asked Kelly to remove her from the pick up list. This is ILLEGAL. When I showed up to get my daughter, Kelly refused to release her to me. The police offered to go inside and remove my child from the school. I am not willing to subject my child to that level of trauma. Kelly essentially held my child against my will. Charges are being filed and a massive law suit will follow. I share custody 50/50 with my ex and have full rights to my daughter and her educational records. To think that the owner of this "school" is capable of kidnapping a child is frightening. My girlfriend was listed as an authorized person for pick ups and should not be removed without my permission. This "school" has now denied me access to records, illegally removed proxies, and held my child against my will. NO PARENT SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE THE LEVEL OF PAIN AND SUFFERING I AM EXPERIENCING. My child was illegally terminated from school as the owner did not like my approach with requests of my childs attendance (I was told it would take 1 week to get my child's attendance ...which is no more than 3 absences), concerns for my child and concerns with their operations. (ELC has even confirmed with me that my child's termination was illegal due to our personal conflicts) I offered to have my husband drop my child off in the AM and my nanny to pick my child up- yet my child was still terminated. In the 3 years that my child attended Education Station, my child was sent home with (8) incident reports of which injuries occurred to her. (none against her) The incidents range from her being bit (2 times- leaving bruises for quite some time) by other children, books being thrown at her head (also leaving bruising), my child being pushed off a seat and scratched by another child and she was scratched once again randomly. There were also 3 unrecorded incidents: 1. I picked up my child in urine-soaked clothes that she had been sitting in for several hours (she was mildly damp by the time we got home). I did not realize till we got home, as I held her hand to walk to the car, picked her up by her armpits to set her in the car seat and walked her into the house by her hand- only when I picked her up by her bottom to sit her down for a snack did I notice the damp clothing. She had had an accident at school and she began to cry and tell me about it. Not one teacher nor assistant noticed that her legs were wet, her clothes were soaked or that she was standing in a pool of urine. I called the school- no incident report was filed. Her clothes were damp and reeked of urine...she clearly had been sitting in them for quite some time as her clothes were almost dry. 2. One of the most disturbing situations was when the owner of the school informed me that one of the children at her school had witnessed a suicide. Mom and son went to let the dog out and found grandma "was hanging by the dog leash in the back yard." To me, this is incredibly personal and should not be divulged to ANYONE outside of the people affected (family)...it is a personal issue and very inappropriate to share. The owner of the school mentioned this 2 x's to me. I had to stopped her before she began to tell the story for the SECOND time...ridiculous. 3. I picked my child up on the playground where a child threw a ball directly off my head- the owner of the school's response was something to the effect of..."it is not a gang of children against you." Correct- I expect some degree of discipline and guidance with the children. I, as a parent should not hear a response of that nature. Two additional comments: 1. When my daughter was 3, I dropped her off and she was tired. I tried to make a little bed for her on the floor with her blanket- One of the teachers told me she couldn't nap on the floor, picked her up and sat her at a table, forcefully crossed her arms on the table and shoved her head down on her arms to nap at the table. When I mentioned it to the owner of the school, her response was that "the teacher doesn't speak very good English." (I spoke to the office about this...again, not recorded on a pink slip) 2. The Winter holiday party- the day after, my child's teacher asked if my child got up to sing. My child might have been the smallest child in the class- but speaks volumes that she was not recognized...the teacher didn't even realize she was there. I have reached out to all businesses that should be aware. My child is now enrolled in a new school that she happily looks forward to going to every morning. I should have trusted my instincts (listened to my 2 other friends that removed their kids from the school) and removed my child a long time ago. read more

We absolutely love it at Education Station. It was very difficult for me to decide on which establishment to choose when inevitably they would be responsible for the the most precious thing on earth to us. Needless to say, we made the right decision. Mayra and the rest of the staff are the most warm and loving bunch, and they absolutely adore all of their kids. I have been a teacher for years, and I quickly realized how much care they took with my daughter, and am ever grateful. This is the reason there is almost a 2 year waitlist. Fortunately, the private owner is careful and she can choose which families are fortunate enough to attend her center. I appreciate her careful approach, and mostly her shrewd eye when it comes to her staff. read more

I am grateful to have found this place for my three year old son. I know when I drop him off everyday that he's going to be cared for, intellectually stimulated, having fun, laughing, dancing, and learning life skills. The owner takes careful attention to picking her staff and it truly shows. She puts on really fun events regularly i.e. trunk or treat, holiday shows, magic shows, touch a truck and more. I absolutely adore and appreciate all of the staff from the administrative to the teachers. I feel like we're a team working together - on the same page Miss Shenae is wonderful - you can trust that she is paying attention to each child's personality and making them feel welcome and apart of. My son loves being at school - he has made great friends and learned so much already. I feel good about sending my kid here. read more

We had no clue where to send our daughter for pre-k 6 years ago.....luckily someone mentioned education station...and we could not be happier....ms. Kelly and her dedicated staff of excellent teachers nurtured and cared for our daughter since day one... they helped her get thru the early days when she was terrified of being without mommy....the education they provide is top notch, and really provided her with a head start heading to elementary school....our little girl is 7 now, in the first grade, and still attends ed.
