We had a team outing and we had a wonderful time. The staff was very attentive and helped us with everything in anything. They also pivoted with all of our designs, and when we requested glitter day went above and beyond to make sure that all of our paintings were fabulous! I wish I had read the reviews before I spent $175 for 2 kids and 2 adults. Basically we were handed a canvas with a pencil outline of the picture we chose. Our appointment was at 3:30 we arrived at 3:25 we were told we were early and therefore she wasn't ready for us. Then we were handed a plate with 4 colours of paint and 2 very old cheap paint brushes that didn't work NO instruction. She had No personality No interaction. She was on her phone the entire time we were there. We had to ask for the basic items. When we did ask her a question she shrugged us off and said she didn't know. DO NOT BOOK FOR CHILDREN'S PARTIES - READ THIS FIRST: We attended a children's party here this past weekend, and what I witnessed was beyond shocking. The party host, who happens to be the owner's daughter, cornered my 5-year-old son, yelling and pointing her finger aggressively in his face. My son, his older brother and friends were simply playing with balloons during a dance party when she slapped a balloon out of my son's hands and started berating him. She didn't notice me sitting behind her, watching the whole thing . My husband and I had to step in, and despite her obvious overreaction, she showed no remorse and insisted that my son was hitting his friends with a balloon. My son was in tears and we left the party early. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in what should be a fun and safe environment for kids. read more

Don't waste your money. They give zero instructions and zero interactions with customers. Also, be careful paying in advance online, we showed up to our class and the place was closed! The owner did not give me a refund, she said it was my fault for purchasing my ticket the night before & I should have given more notice. To me, if they need more notice then the online purchasing should mention it or not allow the booking to proceed (& not take my money). I bought two groupons for the glow paint session for my friend and I. On the Groupon it states to call or text the number listed to schedule your session. I decided to text as I figured this would be the easiest option... boy was I wrong! Over the course of two weeks I went back and forth attempting to find a session that was not full. First I was too far out to schedule a certain date so I was asked to text the next week closer to the date. I recommend they get a big organized because this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth before even going to the session. After booking a session we were told to choose which ones we would like to paint and let her know. Upon arriving our paintings were stenciled ( thank god lol) and ready for us to go. You are allowed to bring wine and they will provide wine glasses for you :) The owner is Russian and nice but she definitely carries the Eastern European personality which I am used to but I'm sure some Americans would take it personal ( don't take it personal!). She was willing to help with issues that arose while painting.. such as highlighting.. how to do brush strokes etc and demonstrated how to blend colors to achieve the look you want . They provide glow in the dark paint so when they turn on the blacklight your painting will glow. I unfortunately forgot to paint with the glow in the dark paints.. did I mention I drank half a bottle of wine Overall I took a star off for scheduling but I really liked the experience. When I said something he said don't worry, you won't see it. Refused to help any one of us. He sat there on his phone. We had no idea what we were doing. I'm sure this is an awesome experience once you get there, unfortunately trying to schedule an appointment was disorganized, confusing, and unprofessional, at best. A word of caution, if you are looking to purchase a GROUPON voucher, you will only be able to go on Wednesdays. This information is NOT included in the Groupon Fine Print, however is very clearly on the business' webpage. I encourage the owner to update the Groupon Fine Print details to clearly state "Check website for availability first, before purchasing". Right now it is too vague. Reading recent reviews, it would seem the Owner is either 1) too busy to check the Fine Print, or 2) is so confident in herself that she could never be wrong. If she actually checked the Fine Print, she would see it states only "Check availability"-- FYI to non-native English speakers, this is NOT the same thing. Giving the benefit of the doubt, the bad reviews with Groupons stem from similar miscommunications due to English as a second language. HOWEVER, this DOES NOT excuse the Owner from getting a condescending, defensive attitude after she contradicts herself and confuses people. I don't care where you are from. Yes, texting/emailing is convenient, but not when it's scaring away half of your potential customers. My advice to potential customers, check the business webpage for availability, as the studio offers certain classes on certain days. Don't use Groupon; and if you do, be aware of the limited availability. I have a lot of advice for the Owner. Please update the Groupon Fine Print to avoid these issues in future. I will be happy to update my review seeing that occurs. Also, consider speaking on the phone when customers request it, since your communication style is not the clearest and an attitude comes across 10x worse through text. Overall, be open, inclusive, professional, and don't jump to negative conclusions. Otherwise, stay in South Florida where you can get away with poor customer service, no ethics, and ignorance. I was extremely disappointed after hosting my daughter's 11th birthday party at ArtVilla Studio on Saturday May 6, 2023. I had such high expectations for the event but was extremely unhappy. STAY AWAY! There were three employees at our event. One was a middle-aged mad (Peter, who I believe is the owner's (Anzhelika's) husband. He was vaping and drinking multiple beers during the event in full view of 1the kids and, as a result, became verbally abusive shouting "Don't be a dumbass" and other horrible things at the kids. I was in complete shock that this can happen at an event for children. The kids were frightened and very upset. I fielded many phone clals from their concerned parents after the party. Also, Anzhelika was not in control of the event at all but rather scrolling her cell phone throughout the 2.5 hour party. I had to approach her multiple times to ask her to begin the next activity. We paid (A LOT) for 25 kids to attend and they became bored and active (dancing, playing) because there was no flow or control. I will note there was a lovely teenage assistant that seemed to be the only person interested in the kids. Anzhelika and Peter did nothing except yell and traumatize the kids. I believe this establishment is much better suited to adult events as they were not interested or equipped to host a party for kids. In the end, sadly, my daughter's birthday was ruined by Anzhelika's lack of interest/control and Peter's absolutely horrific and abusive behavior. I am writing this review so other children will not be subjected to the trauma and abuse that our guests endured at ArtVilla Studio. Anzhelika and Peter should be ashamed of themselves. read more

They will soft sketch out what you choose to paint and provide a palette of paints colors The instructor was awesome. We had children and adults and each and every one of us left happy, the owner and her daughter were so friendly, very welcoming, gave me and my guests all their attention, owner was wonderful with the kids. My girlfriend got me a groupon for valentine's day because I had talked about how we should try to do a wine and paint night. There was never any availability (we even took off work to make it to one of the classes she had tried to confirm, but this is where the next point comes in). Groupons don't make her as much money, so she would put full price people ahead of you. There was never "enough people to fill a class", and the text messages were rude and unprofessional. She even tried to lie to us. We absolutely got refunded. Seems a ton of people on Groupon had the same issue, and several even had their vouchers redeemed without even going. Purchased a Groupon as a gift for my in-laws, they tried to schedule an appointment but was given the run around each time. I reached out to my in-laws because the Groupon was about to expire and that's when they sent me snapshots of their messages with the owner of the business. I was concerned because after I reached out to them I checked Groupon and my voucher was marked as redeemed when my in-laws never made an appointment. The owner originally was upset because they called her cell phone when the number on the website is the number they called. After awhile, the owner kept sending my in-laws to voicemail and after sometime they blocked their number. I went on Groupon and saw a review with a similar situation and to my surprise (not) read the reply from the owner which was completely unprofessional and poorly written. Thank goodness Groupons customer service is amazing and I was able to trade in those vouchers. The owner marked the Groupons as redeemed when she asked my in-laws for a photo of the voucher. Unfortunately, unlike other reviews our party had a negative experience and we didn't even get to set foot in the door. This was the most unprofessional Groupon experience I've ever had. My sister in law set up our party and the morning of our reservation was canceled via text message because they didn't want our group of 8 people to have 6 groupons and 2 people paying at the establishment. The unprofessionalism continued as she had the nerve to text that a party of 9 was paying at the door and she was putting them in our place after we had made a reservation. It is mentioned no where in the fine print that their is a limit to number of groupons per party. My sister in law was told we weren't supporting a small business by using groupons. Just FYI, when you're listing on Groupon, groups purchase and we check you out so that we will return. Now we won't be coming to the business and 8 people will now share the horrible experience. Also, our vouchers were redeemed prior to us even coming into the business, so I'm jumping through hoops to get a refund bc it shows we redeemed our vouchers. Truly disappointed as we were a fun group and coming for a friends birthday and your business ruined the day. READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO ARTVILLA!! I called ArtVilla to confirm a $70 paint class for two that I had booked and paid for through their website. The owner told me the class was canceled and hung up on me when I asked for a refund.. the owner was texting me numerous unprofessional messages at 11:30 at night. I also received an email from her at 1:30am and more text messages the following day telling me I was stupid. I asked her to please leave me alone and stop texting my cell phone because the harassing messages were starting to freak me out but she wouldn't stop. It got so bad that I had to block her number. This was hands down the creepiest and MOST unprofessional experience I've had with a business owner in my life. Thank god for yelp. People need to be aware of things like this before going to a business. I don't recommend this company at all. This place doesn't deserve not even 1 star. I'm not sure how they even operate as business. A Groupon was purchased as a gift for my Mom's birthday. It says no where on their website that you must contact them before buying a Groupon. Nor does it state their Groupon listing . My Mom contacted the phone number listed on their website to get availability and to schedule something with them. A lady answered the phone with an attitude and said "you know your calling my cell phone?" My mom simply told her that this number was listed on their website as point of contact. Now this call was made during an appropriate time of day. Not early morning or at night. My Mom place the call in the afternoon during business hours. The woman on the other line still continued with her attitude and told her " you will have to go on my website pick a picture and call her back" My mother did just that but was immediately sent to voice mail. My mother attempted to reach out over the next few days each time being sent to voicemail. My mom asked me after a week of not being able to reach anyone for me to call to see if I can get through. I called and left a message. My voicemail was followed up by saying sorry I can't talk now. So I text letting them know I have a Groupon for 2 and would like availability to schedule something. They told me they were fully booked. I asked for next openings she replied Thursday or Friday but they don't accept groupons on those days and I can just pay $28 per person. I let her know that I want to use the Groupon. She asked for the names and told me that she don't see the Groupon in her system and that I would need to pay. She then told me to send me the Groupon number which I screenshot it to her. She only gave me options to book on they days she didn't use Groupon. So I was still willing to keep checking on availability. Then she stop responding to my texts as well as my calls. Wow what a way to run a business. If you were a smart business women you would know that customer service is key and good customer service brings more customers. My brother just contacted me to say hey I saw that the Groupon I brought for Mom was redeemed but she never used it. I let him know we were never able to schedule anything and the person I was communicating asked for the Groupon booking number and never heard back. So by me sending a screenshot of the number they redeemed it. They're straight scammers. Just look at how they so conveniently posted a few fake reviews after my brother and sister -in law posted legit reviews because of their experience. Scammers will be scammers. How you a customer writing a review about what percentage Groupon takes? The owner is rude and became unresponsive for no reason and redeemed my mothers vouchers. The most recent so called positive reviews claiming to be customers using the same verbiage. Yeah ok Smh. Word of advice Save your money and time for a real business. It's a shame that people claim they run a business when clearly don't know how to do it. I bought a Groupon with three other friends and the owner wasn't willing to accommodate us, finding all kind of excuses. She even suggested us to return the Groupon and told us to buy it directly from her as she claimed that in certain days they don't accept Groupons. I've been a Groupon customer since 2012 and I know that you have to read the fine print before processing any kind of purchase. THEY WERE NO DATE/TIME RESTRICTIONS for this Groupon. My friends and I ended up cancelling this purchase from Groupon and we made sure we explained the reasons. Don't waste your time and money on this business. The owner should be taking this reviews in a constructive way to provide a better customer service if she wants to grow her business instead of being aggressive and rude on her replies. My group of 6 friends and I came here for a birthday and had the best time! This is the second paint studio I have been to and here they allow each person to pick their own picture to paint which I loved because I have a different style than my friends. The staff was very attentive and gave each individual person the training and tools to make the pictures look beautiful! I will definitely return. read more

I'm disgusted with this place. I went twice, the first time was with a Beautiful artist and his fiancée. Great experience. Second experience was with a very young inexperienced young girl. I believe the owners daughter, that's how she introduced herself. That will be the last time me or any of my friends will go to this place. $40 for a painting class is a rip off. We pay for the experience but also with someone that is experienced. Maybe the owner should reevaluate her decision on hiring her family. And give the customers what they pay for. If I could give zero stars, I would. I had three of my girlfriends purchase a Groupon for the glow in the dark paint party because I thought it would be fun to do. First off, when my girlfriend tried calling to schedule the class, the "owner" refused to call her back and was so adamant on texting, which is a big red flag when operating a business. She then told us that they don't accept Groupons for "blacklight". How are you going to tell me that you have a Groupon that you don't accept? I decided to give her a call to try to sort things out. She was extremely rude, spoke over me, told me I should have called to check availability before buying the Groupon, and then had the nerve to call me "tight" because I was frustrated. Nowhere in the fine print does it say to call before purchasing, that they need 12-15 people in order to even conduct a class, and she wants me to keep calling to check availability? As if I have time for that! This was the most ridiculous conversation I have ever had with a BUSINESS OWNER. I immediately called Groupon for my money back and told them to take down her advertising because she's a liar and is horrible at managing a business! Don't waste your time or your money. Had so much fun last night painting this under black lights! This place is the best paint your own picture place I've ever been to. The owner and her daughter are so sweet. You can paint one of their amazing paintings or you can ask them to draw something you find online which is what I did! Not many places offer that. Everyone gets to paint their own piece instead of a class of everyone doing the same thing and the owner comes and individually helps bring your special piece to life. She even helps if you're stuck but only if you want her to! The black light party was so fun and it's amazing to see the paintings light up. Highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Beware before you book a party here. I am not inclined to write negative reviews especially for small businesses, however, this owner is shockingly rude, has no idea how to run an effective business and was completely unprepared for our party which was booked 1 1/2 months ago. We were there 1/2 hr before our party as arranged. She was sitting behind a desk. Did not bother to get up or greet us. I inquired as to why our party was not set up and she screamed at me and told me if I did not like it she would cancel the party that minute. I was SHOCKED. She never actually greeted us at all. She never said sorry last party was stressful and I took it out on you. She was literally drawing the pictures for the first 1/2 hr of the party. So we paid for a 2 hr party and it really was only 1.5 hrs. Keep in mind I had set this up well in advance. I sent pictures for our theme over a month before. She had the easiest party to manage with 13 year olds and yet she basically did nothing. She did sit on her phone quite a bit. My husband and I ran around cleaning up, taking care of all the party. We really wondered what we paid for at all. Her daughter helped at the party and was very nice. Her daughter worked hard. She apologized and explained they had a huge party of 6 year olds before where they actually had to work really hard. You should also know after booking the party and paying a $100 deposit the owner asked me a week later to move my party time so she could book this other party. I have everything in writing should anyone want to see it. The concept is great but the reality is no pretty picture. For $600 plus you can do waaaaay better. read more

I would have given 0 zero stars if I could. I bought a groupon for one of the classes offered. I called to schedule and the owner told me I could only come on Sunday, even though HER website says the class is on Wednesdays. She then proceeded to tell me how the class I bought was geared for toddlers (my daughter is 10). I questioned why the groupon's description and pictures showed a more advanced class and she said that groupon does that on their own. I know first hand that the merchant has to approve the deal before it's launched. The owner told me I could return the groupon and buy directly from her, but wouldn't honor the price I paid! I then went on HER website and asked why the picture SHE used didn't match a toddler level class. She said she can use whatever pictures she wants. I explained that this is very misleading and would appreciate my groupon being honored. She responded that she was in a class, couldn't speak to me, and hung up!! I hardly ever leave reviews, especially negative ones, because I understand people have off days, but this was just so incredibly rude and misleading that I couldn't not let other people know. UPDATE: In response to the owner's comment: I specifically asked for later in the month and what days- you said "ONLY Sundays, but it will get cancelled if there aren't enough people ". Furthermore, I never wanted to paint the exact painting you displayed; I always knew you selected from a gallery. However, you said "it will be very simple, like hearts and one thing in the middle. It's something the mom helps the child with". I then explained that my daughter is 10 and would work independently, which is why you offered to up sell me. I merely asked to paint a more advanced painting like the one advertised on two different sites. You didn't offer any such help, instead took an attitude with me because you were busy. That is when I asked why you'd pick up the phone if you couldn't take my call. Also, just because you said "goodbye" and then immediately hung up the phone, does not mean you were polite by any means- it's still hanging up on the customer. I didn't even get a chance to answer about you calling me later... I bought a groupon for an older child based upon what was described and you did not honor that, period. read more
