I stopped in for lunch and had the BBQ nachos, they were very good. You get a nice sized portion of pulled pork and chips but I like a little sauce on mine. The only thing that could make it better would be a sauce, but really solid BBQ. read more

Really good food. You wouldnt even know its in the small truck stop right next ro the Pilot. When you walk in, its kind of hidden. Looks like your regular deli. But there were all kinds off good sides...green beans, collard greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, potatos au gratin, baked beans, corn bread. I had half a chicken. A huge disappointment inspite of the wide range of YELP ratings this place has received. Staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was fun...including the restrooms which are not for the faint of heart! My brisket was tough and lacked flavor and the bun was far from fresh. I tried to improve it with sauce but they only offered two (that included ketchup by the way!). This place is great especially if you are traveling on 55 and want a great place to stop besides a metropolitan area. Skip Lambert's, go to Chubby's! They aren't open Sundays or Mondays. Ribs, brisket, and pork are all excellent. Ribs pull right off the bone. BBQ sauce and slaw are vinegar based which is different but expertly prepared. My co-workers loved the potato salad (I didn't have it). I have to go down to this area for work on a frequent basis and this area doesn't not have a lot of good options if any. I got jumbo bow sandwich. It was ginourmous. They only had NC style bbq sauce and I thought I liked NC style. This sauce I hated. G/f got the ribs. They fell off the bone, which I hate. Pro: food made daily. They ran out of brisket and ribs while I was there. Pro/Con: smoking area. Overall: decent fresh bbq, friendly staff, interesting decor. We were amazed at the quality of the BBQ at Chubby's. We were traveling between St Louis and Little Rock and Yelped to find some food. The brisket was absolutely amazing, the most tender I have ever had, and plentiful. The pork was equally amazing, extremely tender with no burnt or dried up parts. Just had my first and last visit to Chubby's. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try after the great recommendations. My ribs had to have been sitting out for days! The outer meat was hard enough to play a tune on and the inside tasted old and spoiled. The cole slaw was a vinegary mess...and the potato salad was mediocre. My husband had the briquette sandwich which was pretty good. Also the baked beans were good. Not sure what happened with the ribs but they were honestly the worst I've ever had. read more

YUMMY!!! Great BBQ sauce that reminds us of the famous Lexington BBQ in NC!!! Pork is wonderfully moist and smoky! The BBQ Beans were very tasty too! Even the French fries were perfectly done! Chubby was a wonderful "hole in the wall" BBQ joint serving up some of the best barbecue I've had in a long time. My coworkers and I were referred here by multiple people while in Blytheville for work. It's a small, quaint little place where the workers there seem to know everyone (well the locals of course) and immediately recognized that we were out of towners. The friendly demeanor of the workers there was a nice warm welcome to our experience there. We started out order with an order of chubby fries. These thin, crispy fries were topped with a rich, smooth cheese sauce and some pulled pork. Drizzled with a little bit of their homemade barbecue sauce it was the perfect combination of savory, rich and tangy. The ribs I ordered had the perfect amount of smokiness and the meat just fell off the bone. The only think I wish I had done differently was come with s bigger appetite. Not sure who wrote the negative reviews on Chubby's but they do not describe our experience. We dropped off of the interstate for a quick dinner. I ordered the brisket sandwich and my wife ordered the loaded potato skins. My sandwich was delicious, the BBQ sauce really helped enhance the flavor. I was not very hungry so did not order any sides - - - which you would need to add to the sandwich for a normal meal. My wife raved about her order, the serving size was more than one meal. Oddly, all the food was crowded onto a smallish plastic plate, making it nearly impossible to untangle the various dishes. MY husband and I stopped on our way to Texas. Was very disappointed. I suppose it was just the end of the day - but the ribs were terrible. They must have scrapped the bottom of the barrel because the piece was charcoal burnt and dried out and was difficult to chew, saved for my dogs and they would not eat.
