He said the cheese burgers are good and his wife loved the pulled pork. I did the math so I got them both. I wanted the peach cobbler they were out so I did the brownie ala mode. I got my seat. The next thing is my dessert came out 5 minutes before my meal. By the time I got to my desert the ice cream melted so the cold ice cream was warm. Failed on that part. The food was great. WOAH their cheesesteak is YUMMY! I am a cheesesteak connoisseur (it's literally in my profile pic), so I know a good cheesesteak. I usually add mayo and ketchup to mine, but Chubby's didn't even need it! Their bread tasted fresh and just highly recommend ordering the cheesesteak. Their fries are great too! I took a chance on Chubby's today. I was looking for a new place to eat. I was not disappointed. While the exterior is bland, the place is super cool inside. This was out first time trying Chubbys'. Based on today, we will absolutely go back. I had the Rueben with coleslaw. My husband had the BLT with mac and cheese. You order each thing separately. The sandwiches were pretty big. I had to bring half of mine home. Based how big the sides were, next time we'll get just one to share. Most of the time my Rueben has too much fat, or not enough sour kraut. This one was perfect. Not a bit of fat was there. The ratio of kraut to meat to dressing was just the way I like it. His BLT was chock full of bacon. I did notice that his tomato could have been a little redder/riper but that was all. The cafe was clean, spacious and well run. Even the owner was tidying up the trash/basket area. If you're in the area and hungry, I'd say stop in for lunch. read more

Ample but not ridiculous menu and perfect portions. My sweetie got the pulled pork sandwich w beer battered fries and I got the Hawaiian bbq burger(amazingly juicy!) w regular fries, that were anything but regular! Both sandwiches were sooo good, and my bf got one of their Swamp hot sauces which was very flavorful but whoa boy spicy!!! You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and bring your food out. Service at counter was amazing and I'm not sure if he was the owner or manager, but as we were leaving, we were asked about our satisfaction to which we voiced much joy and fulfillment. Would definitely stop in when passing through St George, though it isn't a quick access from the highway, completely worth it. Seating was booths mainly that I saw and kinda home-like swamp vibes, with rolls of paper towels at each table and a condiment and drink area in the main area. We had been meaning to try Chubby's out and finally went there when the kids were starving and it was in sight. This is a place where you walk up and order and they give you your number to deliver to your table. We ordered a little bit of everything. My bacon ranch chicken sandwich was really good! I totally recommend the jalapeño ranch! So good! Everyone that had burgers said they were done perfect and well seasoned. Fries were all great! Kids loved the Mac and Cheese. Currently writing this not even 10min after eating my food. Half way into my meal and my stomach is twisting. I ended up in the bathroom puking my guts out. Never have I ever had food poisoning hit me so fast. Not good, not any of it. I had a Reuben sandwich. It was OK tasting but really greasy bread, eating it became difficult and I just tossed the last 1/4 of it. My son ordered chicken fingers. They were overcooked with the breading having a taste of burn to it and the chicken being very dry. 2 kids got burgers and both said that they were ok. These kids love burgers and my son loves to go out of his way to compliment his favorite burgers, these got none and he didn't seek to finish it. I ordered the honey butter scones and they were overcooked, leathery, and tasteless. The honey butter WAS NOT honey butter. Maybe SYSCO "Honey Butter" flavored sauce but it was more chemical compound than honey or butter. What's worse is it was snowstormed in powdered sugar to cover up the way it looked, when I tried to get the sugar off it was soaked in grease. I get that the scone is fried, but after frying it to a crisp, at least let the oil drain off, don't just leave the oil there to get soaked up by excessive amounts of powdered sugar. The fries were good though. Overall when spending over $60 to feed 4 people I'd expect for food that at least tastes decent to good and even hope for great. But this just didn't even meet decent. This was a one and done visit for us. The near 4.5 avg ratings are what brought us here, but I wish I had tried it on a day when they were meeting that standard. read more

I thought this was a typical cafe with sit down service, but it a burger joint. Comfortable seating, although not sure if the decor completely matches their offerings, a little dark and more industrial vibe. You walk up and order before you take a seat, given a number and your food is delivered to your table. Pepsi fountain drinks, even had Dr. Pepper, are a plus when dining in. We ordered the Blue Bacon Burger with Hushpuppies and Chubby Sauce, great to dip those hush puppies into. Also Ordered the Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger with beer battered fries. The staff was welcoming, friendly, answering questions and offering suggestions to our meal choices. The many side dishes available will cause you to have to think. Burger Prices are in par with others and they offer the combo meal price which includes a side and a drink. Both burgers were juicy and delicious, cooked to perfection with melted cheese. There are two sauces, Chubby Sauce (a little more spicy) and Fry Sauce (tastes like thousand island dressing). The biggest delicious surprise was the hush puppies dipped in Chubby Sauce, definitely a must have, perfectly cooked with crunchy exterior and the warm soft center. Sign at door advertised an off menu Turkey Club. Somewhat disappointing as the Turkey and Ham meats were from pre-sliced packages, unlike Kneader's and Capriatti's who serve real, store-cooked, unprocessed Turkey. Shakes should be served with a straw and the store need to stock ones that are bigger than the small dimension ones next to the self-serve Pepsi machine as you can't suck a mixin shake thru them. read more

Went to Chubby's for the first time last Friday. It's located at the end of a building complex, large strip mall-ish near Hurst ACE. We were expecting a sterile environment looking at the outside but were surprised by the fun decor and ambience of the inside. You place your order, are given a number stick and then find a table and wait for them to bring your food. We ordered an Utah burger and bacon ranch burger, beer battered fries and scones. The burgers were excellent! The fries were awesome, and with a self service sauce bar you get all the sauces you want (I'm a big sauce guy. I've never liked getting small sauce packets for fries). The scones were pretty good but not fantastic. We really enjoyed our first try at Chubby's. We went at 5:00 PM on a Friday and noticed it getting pretty crowded at the time and getting worse as time went on. So go early. We will definitely be back and will gladly recommend Chubby's to friends and family. read more
