Unfortunately their portion sizes have shrunk, I think due to this generation & economy everything shrinks but other than that I love the quality, swiftness of service with robots & servers, they have great atmosphere and cute set up!

I've been here so many times now and I look forward to it each time. It is always consistent, fish is always fresh, staff is always nice, and it always makes my day.

Came on a Thursday evening and it wasn't super busy. They've been open for a while now and I had them on my list since spotting them after going to CycleBar a few doors down. We opted in for all you can eat. $32 for adults. Not bad. We were seated right away at one of the booths. To start, I got golden passion fruit tea without boba. It was pretty good! Definitely one of the highlights of our visit. We also got a few apps to share: pork egg rolls, fried gyoza and kimchi fried rice. I feel like this is where things went downhill. Everything tasted kind of light and not very flavorful. I wasn't impressed with the egg rolls or gyoza. I like Americanized Asian food and fusion but this just wasn't it. I liked the kimchi fried rice though. It's got a very faint essence of kimchi flavor but I think it tasted pretty good for what it was. We also got the spider roll, yum yum roll, pork chashu bao, kawaii roll, firework roll, tamago nigiri, fried cheesecake with ice cream, and mochi with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The sushi was just okay and didn't taste how it normally would at a sushi spot but I assumed it wouldn't be the best anyway. Cheesecake was decent and the mochi ice cream basically melted too quickly. I've only ever had Asian flavored mochi. I wasn't too impressed with these. There were a lot of option on the menu though. Even Thai food. Keep in mind that not all items on the menu are on the AYCE menu. Service was good. Our server gave us her recs and came around often every time we wanted to place an order. For the price, it's bang for your buck to get a lot of food. There were 3 of us. Definitely a great place for groups. Overall, it's 3.75 stars out of 5. I'd probably come back to try other options on the menu but will skip the sushi.

I'm excited that Louisville is getting more Asian restaurants in town. A group of us came here on Saturday and to my surprise it was not that crowded. We were seated immediately and got our drink order fasts The service was great. Our waitress kept coming back numerous times to make sure we were doing okay. The menu has a large selection of sushi, ramen and more. They do have an all you can eat menu at $32 a person if that is up your alley. I went with the braised pork ramen bowl. I watch my sodium intake so I asked for no broth. I was surprised when they said they could do that because most ramen places refuse the request. The food was great. The portion was good so I felt like I was getting my moneys worth. I hope Chubby Ninja is here to stay

I have noticed an abundance of new Asian restaurants popping up around Louisville, and I am totally here for it. One of the niche kinds that I have been waiting for more of is 'All You Can Eat Sushi' - Not a buffet, but the order-as-you-go type. I have only been familiar with one other place in Louisville, which I was not a fan of nor was it very close to me. Chubby Ninja just opened up a few days ago. We had dinner here and it was everything I had been wishing for! First off, this place is HUGE! It's cute and decorated so nicely. All of the staff were so nice and welcoming. My husband just went with ramen and I did the AYCE. His was quite large, enough to fill him up! I was prepared and came very hungry. Here's what I got to try: - Miso soup - Calamari - Yum Yum Roll - Fried Snickers Everything was fantastic. Be prepared for pretty big portions of everything. I was struggling, but I have a hard time eating large portions in one sitting. However, I did the math and everything I got added up to the AYCE price ($32 for dinner. It's a cheaper price if you come during lunch hours.) They do charge for uneaten food and do not allow to-go, but this is standard at pretty much any AYCE. I loved the way you could order - Through a QR code on your phone, so that you don't have to wait for your server every time you want something else. They were so quick to bring out each dish! I am so happy to have Chubby Ninja near me and hope to see it thrive!

AYCE sushi/ramen spot with some seriously good food! Come hungry and leave as gorged as you wanna be. Chubby Ninjas are grubbing all around you but I literally walked out of this place feeling like Yokozuna! Once you're seated you'll decide whether you want the AYCE or individual menu items a la carte. Menu items at a la carte are actually very affordably priced for some seriously good sushi, etc. If you're going All You Can Eat, it's $32 dinner, $22 lunch, cheaper for the little ninjas, and there's a QR code on your napkin dispenser where you can begin ordering or simply wait for staff to come around and order. I dove right in using the QR code and the food started rolling out. The menu lead me to believe you received smaller portions when doing AYCE but sushi rolls, bao buns and other things were all FULL SIZE servings. This was a dangerous mistake because the menu does have some rules for AYCE such as 120min time limit and they condone wasting food stating they will charge you menu price for wasted items... I started with 3 sushi rolls and a pork belly rice bowl and had instant regret when I saw full size rolls but I pushed through and slayed it like a true chubby ninja! My wife started off the same way, ordering 3 rolls and some potstickers and that's when I knew I was in trouble because she just wanted to sample a bunch of items. She tapped out after maybe 7 pieces and I had to channel my inner Sumo instincts to finish her food in lieu of having to refinance our home to pay for dinner! A super casual atmosphere, even having one of those robots running food out to your table on occasion, I was able to loosen my belt and push through the pain. I didn't eat near as much as my chubby ninja peers sitting alongside us but I walked outta this place seriously feeling like I had contributed to a fish shortage in the Pacific Ocean, eager to tag in the next group of folks waiting to grub! The only part I wish I had known going in here was how it all worked so I've included a FULL menu for you guys and hope this review helps you get the idea!

I was very excited to see a new all you can eat sushi place opening up close to me. As soon a I could I headed down. I got there around 11:45, thinking the opened at 11:00. Nope, 12, but they let me set at a table for a few minutes until the noon hour rolled around. I came for the sushi, but their Ramen noodle options caught my eye. I shuck off the temptation, kept to my goal in mine and ordered sushi. They are not a Sushi buffet, but an all you can eat restaurant , meaning you place your order with a server. Saturday and Sunday is full price, no lunch option. That is fine with me, there were options on the dinner side I wanted to try. A nice server came by and took my drink order and then explained to me I could order form her or use the bar code on the table. I ordered from my server first. Spicy Tuna, Ebi, Yellow tuna, all good . You can order Nigiri or Sashimi on most options. I liked the availability of Sashimi and took advantage of it. When it was time for more, I used the bar code on the table. I placed my order and the app said table was not set up.....OK, I asked my server, she said the order did don't go through and she placed my request. The order I placed with my server came out and a few seconds later the order placed through the app came out. Now I was staring at a whole lot of Sushi. Knowing that anything ordered and not eaten will generate an additional charge (totally understandable) I settled in and powered through it all. Luckily for me it was all good. Observations: The place was packed. I was the first I one in and by the time I left a little over an hour later, the tables were full and there as a large number of people waiting for seats. There was a large number of large tables, 6 or more people. Service was slow. It took a long time between placing my 2nd order and receiving it. They have not been open that long, so I am sure newness as well as the shear number of people there contributed to the increase in time of getting the orders out. If you get an error on the app, tread lightly or you may wind up with double the amount of sushi on your table. All in all the Sushi was very good, worthy of the 5 stars. Service, not so much, but given that they have just opened, I am giving them a pass.

Decor was fine...dimmed lighting was actually calming after a long day at work, so ambience was great! The food was legit...my pork belly ramen was crazy good and the "spam" bowl was good albeit a little salty (it does have spam in it), as I would expect...service was impeccable and prompt...definitely a go to in the hood!!!

Didn't know they had this option

I so wish I lived closer so I could come all the time. Located in Middletown along a strip mall with Club Pilates. I came after class to grab some munchies to go. Since they make everything fresh, it took them about 15 minutes to prepare it. The portions are not huge but oh so flavorful. The bao was so fluffy and sweet. The salad meshed the crab, cucumber, spicy mayo and tempura flakes so perfectly. I'd get both of these again and again but there's so much else to try. They even do all you can eat sushi. Give them a try.

This was my first time eating here and I definitely want to go back to try something else. I'm kind of a picky eater so I thought the ramen would be a good idea. I did like it but mostly just at the noodles and picked around the rest. My husband raved about how good the whole bowl was Our server was friendly and quick. I noticed there was a little robot scooting around to tables as well, bringing people their bills and I think also delivering orders. That was a first I had seen at a restaurant so I thought it was cool! Again, I'll definitely be back to try something else!

Went on a Wednesday night and wasn't too crowded. Big dining room. Has a parking lot. Waitress Lulu was attentive and efficient all night. Enjoyed the Kani salad and sushi roll.

Neat place to eat, the location has plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall & the restaurant space is a bit tight but very nice atmosphere. Chill vibes & music playing the entire time. There were 3 of us & we ordered the all you can eat options and the service was good at first and slowed down a bit since they were getting busy. Even the robot server was busy. But you get 2 hours to eat and can place an order every 15 mins. The food was delicious, we try to order different things to get the full experience but there was a lot to try. Parking is decent. We came back a couple times since then and enjoyed it.

I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.
