Lots of seating. Looked to be clean. Service was good but the music was loud which makes it hard to talk to the employees. You order at the counter and carry your order to your table. The carne asada was dry. The chips and salsa I really liked but my wife couldn't eat them because they were very salty. My chicken burrito was very good. I enjoyed my lunch, my wife not as much. The drink fountain was out of coke and root beer. The restroom was very clean. I would still eat here. I would have given it 4 stars but my wife would have kicked me. read more

Was craving mexican food for days now. Glad I found this downtown. I saw someone eating Al Pastor online and naturally wanted to try it. This is fast food and not a full restaurant. Place is clean. Plenty of seats and table. I had the Al Pastor Soft Shell Tacos, with Street Style toppings lime, onions, cilantro, & salsa. I made the mistake of ordering it hot instead of medium cuz I wanted to taste it. It was overpowering so I didn't get to fully enjoy it. Order medium cuz their hot is really hot. Otherwise it looks good paired with rice and refried beans. With a fountain drink it comes down to a little over $18. Not bad. I was full. They have burritos and quesadillas as well. I had a very late lunch here recently and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size and service received on my visit. I had the fish burrito on whole wheat, but that's about where the healthy content ended. If you're looking for a healthy meal, I would not necessarily recommend chronic tacos. If on the other hand, you're looking for something tasty and filling, this may be your bag. My burrito was easily enough for two people to share and the Spanish rice and mix of peppers and cabbage ensured it did have some healthy content. The burrito came to just under $15, so while it's not the cheapest around when you consider some of the alternatives in the neighborhood chronic offers good bang for the buck and a comfortable place for a sit-down lunch. The service was friendly and precise and not at all pushy which I appreciate. I found the restaurant to be clean and sparse on my visit. In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to return. There's a lot of burritos places popping up these days, but i think this is one of the better ones all things considered. read more

I love love love chronic tacos , guilty pleasure and reminds me of home being originally from California. This isn't a "traditional" taco join, think California style more so than Texmex. Best carnitas yum! Everything is made fresh which I really appreciate, I've literally watched the chefs chopping up the chicken and cooking down the meats, making the salsas from scratch too. Surprisingly good tacos near Canada Place. Conveniently located near the Waterfront Station of the SkyTrain. You can get tacos, burritos or bowls, with protein choices of pastor (marinated pork), carnitas pulled pork), beef, chicken, or premium steak (added price). I enjoyed the two taco plate with carnitas and pastor. You walk up to the counter to order, and you have a lot of choices in this establishment: white or Spanish rice (recommended), black or refried beans (black were good), and hot or mild salsa (both good). I also enjoyed a Parallel 49 lager on tap, which I believe was brewed in the brewery next door. The servers were nice and helpful, which of course added to the pleasure of the meal. I come through Vancouver a couple of times a year, and am adding Chronic Tacos to my list of good, reasonably priced meal options near the cruise ship terminal. read more

Then one of their staff members saw me struggling then suggested: "I tried the poutine today and it was great. But instead of fries, I got it with tater tots" I can never resist anything deep fried; I knew right away that that's what I wanted to get my hands on. And I did - with guacamole too. $16.80 later I had absolutely no regrets. I mean, it's a little more money than you'd expect to spend at a fast food joint. This was by far the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Ordered off Uber Eats and my salad came soaked in salt water. Not only did it look like it came from the bottom of the kitchen sink, it tasted like it too. I took a photo of what it looked like even after I drained all the liquid out. The lettuce was so soggy you can't even tell it's lettuce. The chicken was so salty all I could taste was salt. I took 2 bites and threw it out. Too much stuff getting jammed in the taco, making the eating experience messy and unpleasant. All that gets drowned in way too much sour cream and salsa, to the point I don't even taste the contents of the taco anymore. Definitely way overpriced for the quality I would never go back there again.. A solid alternative to Chipotle, this location opened in May 2018 and offers indoor and outdoor seating. They seem to be open a lot, even on holidays. I like that they serve fish tacos here, but the actual portion of fish is so small that the taste isn't noticeable enough. A bit pricey for fast food, but the quality is decent and they keep the place relatively clean. It's not life changing--they are convenient and fresh, however. 3.5 stars, but I'm on vacation so I'm being generous. read more

First time going there, asked for the carnitas and I was given almost none at all. As well as when I ate it I realized it was all fat and gristle absolutely no meat. This was absolutely the filthiest restaurant I have ever been to. We went to the Vancouver Chronic Tacos store right after it opened on August 2nd and ordered our tacos. When we went to our seats, we found every single table in the restaurant had crumbs and sticky messes on them. The floors had debris and food everywhere. The bathrooms had overflowing trash cans and a filthy floor including dirty clothes left there! The toilets were unspeakable. Unbelievable that a restaurant could be left that way at the end of the prior day and even more unbelievable that they would open up for business the next day with it in that condition. I like this chain, but today at this particular location we met up with a sourpuss. I dunno, she didn't seem like she liked her job. I can understand why. Sometimes when you're occupied with other thoughts, it's hard to concentrate on the job at hand. It's really tough to do that when dealing with the public. Especially if their parents didn't teach them about etiquette or how to deal with people in public. I don't really mind when they take a tantrum on my taco's but I do feel for the poor ingredients, as they only have one path in life and that's to be consumed by humans and ummmm then dumped. So while I feel for the server, I felt more sad for the food. Mexican food to me is fun food. Bright and spicy and full of joy. Usually it goes hand in hand with equally bright and energetic service. Maybe the wrist was a bit sore which was why the guacamole had to be forcefully plopped onto the tacos. The impact of the green avocado's must've turned brown on impact due to the forceful nature it was plopped upon. That aside, my gal pal and I enjoyed our meal. We devoured our tacos and promptly left hoping to evade those laserbeam eye's our server gave us when we were trying to order our ingredients. It's not our fault we're both short and trying to speak into a glass wall that she couldn't hear. Yet I understand. In today's world, this is about all we should get and then just accept and enjoy what we have. Because next time it might not be the taco's. It could be the Burrito's. read more

Delicious and malicious. Bowl rito has been my go to but all is good here . Great place to visit for chronics. Reasonable prices . Nice staff and relaxed restaurant. Maybe they are on some chronic taco type stuff . They have a rewards program . If you buy ten burritos you get one free . So it's like spend a hundred bucks and you get 10 bucks back . Better than nothing compared to other places don't do rewards for they're patrons. So enjoy. read more
