Vegan Burrito Bowl? Yes Please! I finally decided to give Chronic Tacos a chance after smelling my co-workers lunch throughout the office. This location is inside a well organized gas station. As soon as I entered the main doors that are shared with restaurant and store the Chronic Taco employee welcomed me in. Its like she knew I was hungry. I decided on a bowl with impossible protein, white rice, grilled veggies, black and pinto beans and all the fresh veggies including guacamole. There were a few salsa options to chose from so I went with the spicy habanero and also the spicy serrano. The Habanero was **chefs kiss! I honestly tied the entire bowl together. The serrano salsa was good, my taste typically leads to red salsas though. All in all, the staff was helpful, friendly, fast.. the food was satisfying. I used to go to this place quite frequently because I had an unlimited monthly car wash. The food there was pretty good, but then the service started going downhill. Everything is authentic and so good. The salsas are actually spicy like they will have you chugging water. After trying it for the first time it made me a regular. I go often here and yes it is that good. There is a guy who is indifferent not nice not mean just works. Ok so food is really good however....the last 2 times i've purchased food from here it has been sad. Portions were super small. Literally just enough for a toddler. Ordered for take out yesterday. Ordered a taco plate and a bowl-rito. Unbagged the food at home and found that the rice and beans were missing from my taco plate and the bowl had maybe a teaspoon of rice in it. NO JOKE! My husband went back to the location and was told by the person that took the order that it was her understanding that was how I ordered the bowl and did nothing more for us except hand him the rice and beans for the taco plate. Um I think not. I expected to get what I paid for. So with that, service sucks and thats really too bad because I don't think i'll be going back there. They've lost my business.
