This place is located in strip mall out in Rialto. As soon as I walked in, I can tell this place was a chill place to eat with very friendly people serving you. I was really excited to sit down and order. I ended up getting the #9 (or #5? It's been a while and they're similar). Either way, this order gives you a good sample of a lot what they have to offer. If the #9, it comes with a panucho, a salbute, a polcan, an empanada de carne, a taco de cochinita de pibil, and a taco relleno. The amazing flavors and textures. I was like a kid in a candy store with this meal. Everything was delicious all washed down with the Modelo. Delicious and authentic. There were three options for salsa/sauce and although they were all great, I really liked the one with pickled red onion. Good Mexican food is one of the main things I miss about living in Southern California, and you can't do much better than what Sabor Yucateco offers. The price was good and there was a lot of flavorful and juicy meat on each taco. I could barely finish them. The michelada was perfection with chunks of frozen beer from the icy cold glass. I just had been out of the hospital for a few days and had barely been able to eat due to some health conditions. I just couldn't fit much food but I was so hungry and craving flavorful food. I did a search on Yelp for places that offered a variety os small portions. It came up with a couple of places in Rialto. I guess the idea was something like tapas? I don't know what those are but this place had shareables, had great rating and the food sounded interesting, even though I don't speak the language much. My friend (who speaks fluent Spanish) and I went together tonight and she helped me decipher the menu. We ended up sharing an empenada, shrimp taco, cochinita taco? and another type of fried corn shell appetizer. The fried corn tortilla is home made and was like something I've never experienced before. I normally prefer flou tortillas because they are softer, especially when fried, but this fried corn tortilla was crispy and lighter and more airy than a flour tortilla and was healthy without any grease or oil on it. It was the most I have been able to eat since I got back home and it was all SO delicious and so healthy. I was able to get a couple of bites of 4 or 5 items. I believe the lady that served us was the owner. She was so patient with us and explained so much to us. I am a very slow eater and we kept them after closing but the owner was so kind and didn't show a second of impatience or pushing us to leave. I still don't exactly know what all I ate but it was so tasty and light and healthy. The only warning I have is about their selection of 4 salsas. It is authenticly SPICY to their region. I love the the heat and the flavors of each salsa, I am just not sure if my stomach is going to agree... lol This place is one of those hole in the wall gems that you MUST try. They deserve your business. I will be back many times to try the many items. Once my appetite builds back up and can fit more food, I will try an actual meal there. YESSSSSS!!!!! Ok this might be my favorite New Mexican spot. Dely was amazing! She welcomed us so warmly and helped us a bit through the menu. The inside was clean and inviting. I had been researching and knew we wanted the #5. This gave us a sampler of all the flavors. Dely also suggested the kibis. This was a unique taste and had some flavors what were new (a tiny dense, but delicious flavor). The pibil was delicious, the salbute with beans NEXT LEVEL!!! Honestly you have to eat this food. Our waitress was very friendly and suggested the sampler and the short ribs . I didn't think it would fill us up, I was wrong.
