First I gave 5 stars for the following: 1) Incredibly friendly and helpful staff & owner (Ninette) 2) Incredible instructors (Jenny, Ashley, Dollar, Andy, and Karyl), I need to still go to one of Wyatt's classes 3) Brand new bikes 4) Cleanliness Here is the background and some details: I decided to actually walk around my neighborhood, something people in Los Angeles do not really do enough of. The one day I was walking around I saw that a new cycling studio was opening up near me; so I decided to give them a try while they were doing a soft launch. I took multiple classes with different instructors and what a find! This is the best studio I have been to and is perfect for those that live or work on the west side. There is also free parking in the center so it is very convenient. I have tried all the different variations of spin as it has evolved. Chrome Cycle follows a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) & weights approach. Their instructors are all top notch and very knowledgable who have also taught at the other well known studios. They help all new riders with setting them up on the bikes with adjustments and always making sure that proper form is followed. Everyone that works there is so friendly and will always answer questions. I felt so great when I started cycling again, so in addition to going regularly to class I decided to eat clean (no sugars, limit carbs, etc) and lost over 20 pounds in 2 and half months! I would not have gotten there without the Chrome Cycle family and wish I could give more than 5 stars. They definitely are #bestridewestside. Checked out this new studio in the neighborhood. First, let me start by mentioning that I've been to many different spin studios over the years in Venice, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Downtown LA and everywhere in between and it's easy to get bored and inundated with all the choices. I will say that Chrome Cycle is far better than many of its competitors out there, including the big brand name ones (you know which ones I'm talking about). A few things that stand out for me are: (1) brand new facility - clean and modern (2) high end bikes (3) instructors are AWESOME (4) their programs are varied and interesting, for instance, I noticed that they focused on full body - right side in the first half of class and then left side the second half so that you're completely balanced out (these little details count) (5) free towels that don't feel cheap and rough on the face (6) free shoe rentals (their Shimanos are nicer than the ones I own) (7) mood lighting (8) super easy parking (a must in the Westside) (9) the studio has a really nice aromatherapy smell which adds a nice little touch to the entire workout experience, and finally... (10) the price is pretty reasonable compared to some of the other studios out there (you know which ones I'm talking about). I'm definitely going to add this studio to my regular fitness routine. read more

I felt compelled to write this review after trying other spin studios on the westside. Initially I tried Chrome Cycle because it was conveniently on the way back home from work. First, I love that there is parking! I never have to struggle to find a parking spot, which I love, living on the westside we all now parking can be a hassle. I really appreciate that the owner and front desk associates remember you and also the fact that you will regularly see the same people in your class which creates a sense of community. I enjoy the instructors, I particularly like Abby- during the class I always feel motivated to perform at my best. She always offers to help set up your bike or answer any questions in regards to your form. I love the diversity of the class, all different ages, genders, backgrounds. Also, the Studio always has cool events such as the adidas partnership event, charity rides, and the latest- happy hour! I cannot say enough good things about Chrome Cycle! Price: Such a deal! Your first class is free which is always a bonus when you're trying out somewhere new. If you pay as you go I think it's $24 per class. The packages are an awesome deal though - definitely recommend that option since it makes going even more affordable! Studio: The studio has such a cool vibe! It feels like a place you want to workout. Everyone from the front desk to the instructors to the owner, is warm and inviting. I'm so excited to have great cycling in the area! There's free parking in the lot below the building too - huge bonus for LA, especially the westside. Instructors: I've tried almost every instructor at Chrome and have had a great ride each time. They're always high energy, fun, and play awesome music. I've noticed them helping first timers and newer riders too which is great. There's an emphasis on form so you know you're doing it right and getting the best workout possible. They just started selling tanks and tees with their logo too. Definitely take a look! Grabbed a couple myself. This place is everything the westside has been missing! My faves are Rachel & Alex - I've happened to take their classes the most because of my schedule but I also really enjoy their teaching style + music! Other HUGE Pros: - Free garage parking, spots always available! - Shoe rental is included in your class purchases! No $3-$5 fee each time you go like at other studios - Staff and instructors are all incredibly friendly and helpful! - Free towel service and lockers! - Studio is clean, bikes are in great shape - A range of people come take class here, so you don't feel like it's one of those cookie cutter LA studios Their new-client specials are awesome and the standard rates are also super fair. Many studios charge the same if not more and give you less. Quality fitness, quality people, and quality perks. I'm sold. I am from Northern California and love to visit various cycle studios when I'm in town. While researching on Yelp, Chrome came up and I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I've tried multiple studios, but this is the first one that really made the difference from good to outstanding!! Chrome studio has an Incredibly friendly staff and a cool, clean, spacious spin room! My only regret is that I didn't write this review directly after my last visit, and I forgot the name of my amazing spin instructor!! First of all, it has lots of parking, the instructors are chill and yet high energy, helpful and generous, great playlist, the facility is super clean, lots of lockers, lots of room, no bumping to sweaty bodies in the hallways - and the best part, Nanette, who greets you with such a beautiful smile when you walk in the door, so welcoming! I took Jenny's class and I'm so glad I did. She was fun and welcoming, yes, but she had this way of instructing and motivating that made me feel like she was talking straight to me. She seemed to know when I was struggling and when I was holding back and she kept encouraging me to dig deeper and deeper until I started breaking through. Physically and meta physically. I love this place, I started on 8/22/18... to lose weight and feel better!!. Since I started going, i have noticed significant improvement with my health and mental health. The prices are reasonable and the workout experience is phenomenal. Water literally comes out of your body..thats when you know you are getting a good workout!! I love the incorporation of "body movements" and adding "weights" while you cycle. I have never taken a class like this before. I always end my workout relaxed and with a smile on my face. My mom noticed that my mood has increased. I love their website and how easy it is to reserve your bike on line. I strongly recommend this place. I only went to this studio once, but did not have the best first impression. The instructor was late (which I heard happens often), and the class seemed very scripted and non-original. I do have to give some credit for the nice bathrooms and the spacious studio (although that may have been due to the fact that the class was pretty empty). I wanted to give this place a try because it was slightly cheaper than Soul Cycle, but in my opinion the lower price is not worth it. Anyone looking for an alternative should try Cycle House or even Auracycle. read more

This place is pretty cool. I went via classpass to get a workout in after the new year. The 5pm class was pretty empty. I like that they offer free shoes for every class. My teacher Ashley was upbeat and motivational and I liked the music she played. It feels like you're in a club with the dim and changing lights. I liked the bikes as they were new. They also incorporate weights with the class. My only complaint is that there is no way to know how far you cycled...and the actual resistance. It's simply a knob that you turn. Finally, a cycle studio on this side of town! And they're awesome! So far, I've tried out almost all instructors for the evening classes and loved Wyatt the most. She's very energetic, motivating and easy to follow... not that she's easy but she's clear in her explanations. I actually found her class to be pretty challenging but that's what I want in a cycling class. The studio is very clean, well maintained and spacious. Bathrooms are great for changing. Staff is nice and helpful. The only thing I don't love is that their bikes don't have RPM or resistance readings so sometimes I don't know if I'm at the level I should be. read more

This place is amazing it's not competitive and the classes are all about pushing yourself at YOUR limit not the instructors, I never feel embarrassed when I have to sit because it's too hard which is huge for me. Jenny is my favorite instructor but everyone has been amazing included Ninnete and the other girls in the front who remember you and are always super helpful. I wish there were showers so I could go before work but they have spray deodorants, hair ties, face wipes and tampons for the clients. I love coming to Chrome!!!! read more

This is my favorite and ONLY place I cycle when I come to LA for work. It's a fantastic workout, the studio is modern and clean, the staff is welcoming, parking is easy and the owner is amazing. This studio does a great job of consistently maintaining a high level of quality among the instructors, I've taken classes on different days/times and they are all excellent. My sister and I took our first class here today and loved it! It was especially cool to get the first ride free with free shoes and free parking. The easiest reservation process of any workout studio I've been to, also. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk greeted us very warmly and helped us with our shoes and our bikes. We took Ankins class and it was great..the music was on point and the class was intense (in a good way). The class was not full, but it was nice to have some space, for once, compared to most spin classes, honestly. What was even better? The fact that chrome, genuinely, cared about how the class went versus immediately trying to get us to buy packages and memberships. They care about the rider, not just money, and I think that is a breath of fresh air! Also, pro-tip fellow ucla students, they have a student discount! woohoo! Needed a new cycling studio on the westside and found this amazing studio. Ninette (I hope I'm spelling it correctly) is amazing and so welcoming. Some studios are so cold and just want you in and out. This is a no pressure cycling studio and everyone is so nice & always smiling. I take CJ's classes, 1. because he's awesome & knows exactly what he's doing 2. because I love his playlists. This was my first day going to Chrome Cycle and it is my new favorite spot and sport! My instructor, Ashley, was helpful (my first spin class in a few years- the shoes were tricky!) and she had the perfect music, lighting, personality, encouragement and determination to lead us through an EPIC 6:15 am ride. Yes, 6:15 am on a MONDAY. Hahah. I was really nervous about being able to handle a tough workout before a work day but I felt amazing afterwards, got my butt kicked, burned a bunch of calories, gained confidence and had fun! I bought more classes after using my FREE first class today. I only hope they will add more 6:15 am classes. For those of us who work traditional schedules, this is such a super option- please add more 6:15 classes:) oh and the woman at the front desk was super sweet and knowledgeable- a great presence! Today was my first time at chrome cycle with class-pass and I absolutely loved it. Bam was an amazing instructor, very energetic. I wish there was a calorie and timer on the bikes but also happy the timer wasn't on because I didn't even realize the time was up, maybe it was because of the amazing instructor Bam! There's lots of underground parking which is also a plus! You def will see me there more often. read more

Upon walking into the studio I was greeted by the super friendly Ninette, she was so helpful and made me feel comfortable immediately. I went to soul cycle regularly until coming here. The teachers here are great, especially Wyatt and Rachel. The bikes are spaced apart enough to make you feel like you are spinning together but not so close that it's uncomfortable. The cost is good and the atmosphere is very inviting. An incredible place to go to if you want a super fun, kick-ass workout. For starters, parking is never a problem, with lots of spots in the subterranean lot. The facilities and bikes are immaculately clean and maintained. Shoe rentals and towels are included, not to mention you can refill water bottles for free as well. The owner, Ninette, is always so bubbly and obliging. The instructors are all super fun and personable, and the classes varied and challenging. I've been a spin enthusiast for 15 years. I've managed to avoid these subscription-style studios by sticking with classes at my home gym (many of them taught by elite cyclists and triathletes). But I've always wondered what, if anything, I'm missing out on. This winter, I had a chance to find out when my gym's AC died and it was too cold/rainy to run outdoors. Well, the answer is nothing. I don't understand how this place has 5 stars. The bikes are stacked so close together you may as well be making out with the person riding next to you. They do NOT have proper electronic panels that tell you your wattage or RPM's. And the instructor I had was completely uninterested in helping me learn how to adjust my Stonehenge bike, which resulted in the picture attached to this review when I tried to do it myself. Basically, I'd sooner pay $25 to watch 50 minutes of televised amateur bowling than ever attend another 'class' here. read more

And after trying another (very well known) Spin studio in LA I further realized just how great Chrome was.
