ClassPass is giving away one month for free, so I immediately signed up and booked many different fitness classes. I was looking for a great cycling class after already trying Soul Cycle. I live in Santa Monica, and Chrome Cycle's location is close to mine. I dropped in on Tuesday at 7 a.m. There were only nine people, so it's a great spot to avoid crowded places. The instructor, Jahni Haynes, guided us through the session. She was very motivating and led a sweaty, energizing session. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with clean bathrooms but no showers. EXCELLENT customer service at the front desk! I've been to many fitness studios where the person at the front desk is snobby or ignores people. I'm happy to report that the Chrom Cycle studio front desk lady passed the vibe check! She showed me around, got me the right-sized shoes, and adjusted my bike. FREE and EASY parking! read more

this studio was really cute! Great location with lots of parking in the structure. The bikes don't have any sort of technology material so just a warning if you like to see stats in classes. I have an Apple Watch and that works for me anyways and actually makes me more engaged in class rather than trying to look at my stats. Room and bikes are clean and nice. The morning class I went to was super small with only about 6 people so it felt more intimate but the later classes at night are more packed! I highly recommend trying this studio. I'm a newbie when it comes to spin class (and fitness in general), and even though the class I went to was hard and challenging, it was very rewarding after. It was one of my instructor's birthday (I think her name was Abby) when I went so they brought snacks at the end for everyone to try as well. Anyways, I like the staff because they were friendly and understanding that I was still starting out. The music and the lights bring a good energy during the class. As someone who used to work for SoulCycle and avidly ride with different instructors, this studio was a real treat! Abby is a fantastic instructor with great songs, great workouts + she makes you want to work hard. What more could you want from a cycling class? Everyone I've met here has been very warm and welcoming. Garage parking below the building makes it easy to come to class. Complimentary lockers + towels. Everything is so clean! The only downfall (for some people) would be the lack of showers, but not too big of an issue for those who go straight home after a workout. I have taken a few classes here with different teachers and I have loved each one. The music selections are amazing. I recently went thru a hard time and I wasn't myself in the class. I would say it's comparable to other spin studios in LA. It's maybe not on the same level as SoulCycle or FlyWheel but it's not at that price either. They have comfortable, clean bikes, free shoes/towels/lockers, light show and fun music. I felt like the instructors are easy to hear and I knew what I should be doing at any point in the class. Such a fun and intense 50 minutes class! We started with a warm up and what seemed like 40 minutes of intensity, but then we had a second half which consisted of hills and sprints and was pure bliss! The instructor was great, she helped me get my bike set up before class and tried to get everyone's name. The facility is clean and intimate and everyone was very kind. Bathrooms were clean and stocked and of course the best part is free parking! They provide towels and shoes and have a filtered water station! I really enjoyed this studio. I recently took a class at SoulCycle in Pasadena and it was fun. However, chrome cycle was so much BETTER! The instructor, Rachel, is motivating and ensures you are actually cycling correctly. She guides you throughout the class how to follow the beat of the music while you cycle. This studio has different color lights in the room that change to let you know when to go faster and when to slow down. I also liked the bikes better here than SoulCycle. They have a special for 1st timers attending the studio, which includes a free class. :) Parking is easy and there is plenty. The studio is clean and they have lockers. read more

I've been trying studios around West LA through Class Pass so I thought I'd give Chrome Cycle a try. I thoroughly enjoyed the class as it was my first time experience with cycling and the music was very on point. The whole class felt like a journey, and the equipment was very clean. I just wish that before we went on the bike, we get a beginner's overview. I came onto the bike not knowing how to get off the bike, which made me anxious during the whole time in class as I wouldn't know when/if I'd fall off. Also, being petite and the bike I was on not being adjustable at that time, some motions were harder for me to do during the class. I was left happy though, at the end of the ride, as I then did not feel guilty for all the snacks I ate that day. read more

As someone who is an avid SoulCycler, I appreciated riding to the beat of the music vs. having all the RPMs etc. but I wasn't huge fan of the playlist. I moved to the westside and I was looking for a new place to cycle when I found this awesome cycling studio. I have been coming for about two months and I love it. Everyone is really nice. I'm really a shy person but I always feel welcomed. Instructors are great and motivate you to do your best. They all have their own awesome music to workout to as well. Lighting is also fun. If you need cycling shoes, the studio provides them for you. I have my own, but I'm glad to know that if I didn't, I wouldn't have to worry. Towels are also provided. Lots of lockers and free parking underground. Never an issue trying to find parking, there's always space. Their monthly unlimited prices are more than what I'm used to paying but I cycle about 15-18 times a month. When I break it down, it's definitely worth it. They also have new client specials. Checked out this studio for free the first time and was really impressed by the cleanliness, spacious studio, and friendly staff and instructor. I joined membership soon after and took my 2nd class that week by signing up for the newcomer 1 month unlimited deal for $125. My favorite class so far is Jenn Savage's 10A Friday classes (I am unable to make the evening class times). Teresa, at the front desk was so helpful and friendly in answering all my questions. I have had situations at previous studios such as platefit where they advertise unlimited packages but cap you after a certain # of classes (which in my opinion, is false advertisement). Here, they are very clear that you can take no more than 2 classes a day (for safety and health reasons); other than that, there is no cap on how many classes you can take a month. Another plus is that this studio has free 2 hour parking (there is a smaller parking lot on the ground level and another bigger lot underground). I am definitely drenched in sweat after my 50 minute ride and feeling refreshed. I am happy I found my new home-studio to work out at. read more

Chrome cycle is where I call home now! The bikes are clean, the staff is friendly and the rides are challenging in all of the right ways. Ashley is a phenomenal instructor and is attentive to newer riders but also knows how to push the advanced ones. She definitely changes up her classes and her music choices are AMAZING! Also, they offer FREE shoe rentals and towels oh and earplugs if you have sensitive ears! I have been to other instructors who are amazing as well! Overall the instructors are great, the studio is run well, it's clean, and there's tons of free parking. They do a weight section in the middle of each class which is an interesting spin on the traditional cycle class. They have morning classes and evening classes Monday- Friday and some morning classes/afternoon classes on Saturdays and Sundays! Oh and their website is so easy to use! It's just all around a really great studio with a really great vibe! I highly recommend coming to this studio for first timers or for the more advanced. Came here tonight for the Yelp event and I am so glad I came! I've done cycling classes before at the gym but this place set the bar! When I first walked in a lady checked me in and gave me a pair of shoes. I walked around and went and used the bathroom. The have 2 unisex bathrooms on the left side once you walk in. What's so cool is that they have tampons, ponytails and makeup remover for use in the bathroom! Little things like that make me happy :) any who the class was about 50 minutes I believe but it was intense! I'm not sure what the instructors name was but she was great! She was super into the music and teaching the class that it motivated me to keep pushing! I really liked the music choices as well, it was a mixture of top 40 and hip hop. I really enjoy this studio because you can tell that everyone is genuine. The staff is really nice, especially the owner, who makes sure to accommodate everyone. I once signed up for a class that had a really last minute change in the instructor due to an emergency and the owner gave everyone a free class who was not satisfied with the class. You can just tell that the staff looks out for all their customers! I took the 6:15pm class with Jennifer Wyatt and she is an amazing instructor. Jennifer explained that this class ended up being an advanced class and gave modifications to all the moves. She knew when I was struggling and helped me coordinate all the moves. Chrome Cycle is what turned me on to cycling in general. In fact, I had tried various other spin classes other places before but never liked it at all until coming to Chrome. Now I am completely obsessed! Not only are the instructors absolutely amazing (I sweat more than I have in any other work out [and am an avid exerciser] in Jenny's class) but the entire staff is genuine, bubbly and makes you feel completely comfortable trying something that you may not be used to. The owner of the studio, Ninette, is an absolute DOLL. She puts so much care and love into her studio and is always welcoming and accommodating. She even helped me put on a charity ride in honor of a friend who has Cystic Fibrosis and just acquired a double lung transplant. Every penny raised from the fundraiser went directly to the cause. She, Jenny and her staff gave their time to this cause entirely out of the goodness of their hearts. I am so thankful that they did. This is no regular studio. It is a place that brings people together to de-stress and calm their minds while getting an INTENSE work out. I was able to see changes in my body after just a week of daily visits to chrome and am so happy my friend told me about it! It's seems impossible to find a place in LA to work out that is both great work out wise and not insanely expensive. There is an amazing deal for new customers to Chrome and the classes are very reasonably priced. The studio is always clean and pristine as well. Very important! This is a brand new studio that opened in the Westwood area, and specifically on Westwood Boulevard. It's a brand new studio, meaning that everything is clean, modern and up to date. The bikes are really beautiful, clean and the most advanced ones I've seen. This place offers great classes in the mornings, afternoons and early evenings. The instructors seem to be really gifted at what they're doing, meaning attention is given to all participants and the class sizes are not too large and overcrowded. Quality definitely supersedes quantity. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who is contemplating trying a new cycling Studio on the Westside. Love love Chrome Cycle! I just started my journey in getting back in shape. Round IS a shape, but not the one I want to be in. I also ride horses and cycling is something to help with your cardio and endurance. The instructors are soooo nice and motivational. Ninette actually helped me during my second class on my body position and when to add more resistance if I needed it. Honestly, I've come to a couple classes not feeling too into working out, but telling myself I'll just take it easy and get through the class. That never happens lol. The instructors are so motivational and the music gets you excited. You can also raise your hand and ask questions if you need help with terminology (i.e. leading with your right or left leg, turning the wheel over etc). Parking is also extremely convenient.
