    Chantilly Cake - Limited Edition

Chrome has been my go-to coffee in town since they had their OG truck. The coffee is always good, the team is always friendly, and going into their locations is always such a pleasant experience. This shop has a lot to offer; it's a calm space to hang out and the outdoor seating is so nice when there's good weather out here. There's a lot of seating, which is always so nice! I also LOVE their seasonal menu. The pistachio shakerato has had me in a chokehold for years now and I loved the Chantilly Cake flavor earlier this year.

This is one place that changes the norm of just going to a commercial coffee shop. I've noticed this coffee shop ever since I moved to Oakley. I finally checked this out, and it didn't disappoint. The coffee shop is small, so expect the tables to fill up quickly. They have a variety of coffee specialties so I just opted for their Cookie Butter Latte. The drink is good. You can distinguish the homemade cookie butter sauce in the drink. I enjoyed this drink and it tasted different from the other major well-known coffee shops. I have to try their regular coffee next time and see the difference from the other well-known coffee shops. I have a good impression of this place. Their services and the coffee products they served looked promising.

Chagaccino, mushroom coffee, is great! If you haven't tried it, I think this is a good first-timer cup. Service is good and the ambiance is bright yet chill. I also tried their hot coco & while it wasn't my favorite, it was good. Will be back!

Before heading back home, my husband's family recommended to grab coffee here and chat. When entering inside, I fell in love with how spacious and aesthetically simplistic their decor and furniture color, simply pretty. Their menu is not overwhelming at all. Again, it's kept to be simple which makes things easier to order. I'm a matcha lover and ordered their regular size and added vanilla syrup to have it subtly sweet. Their matcha I can definitely tell they use high quality because you can still taste the slight bitter matcha flavor and the aroma of the matcha. Loved it so much. Instead of going through the Starbucks drive thru, this is where I'll be grabbing my matcha drink when I'm in town and or before I leave the town of Oakley.

Really solid coffee! The Americano was chocately and it was Pillow Talk from Wrecking Ball coffee. Taylor was super nice as I was super early. Service was quick and there was plenty of plugs for anyone looking to stay lounge or work. Would definitely recommend for an elevated coffee experience this side of town.

Very friendly and cute café located in downtown Oakley! They have seasonal drinks each time and the Oatchata was absolutely delicious! Very spacious inside as well with enough seats. Service was quick so that was a plus :)

So ive been looking for a Black Sesame Latte similar to one I tried in LA and have never found one in the Bay Area! Tried so many places in SF and Berkeley, none were like LA! I was thinking how hard can this be! Ive been looking for a year and then my brother calls yesterday and tells me to go to Oakley because they have one thats closest to the one in LA! Sure enough he was right!!! Please dont get rid of this!!! I cant keep going to LA to get my fix!

I love me a good coffee shop with great coffee but even better customer service. The ambiance was clean & modern. I could imagine me getting some work done there or even just hanging out with friends. I wish I got the girls name, but she was so helpful and friendly! She recommended 2 great options for me and my fiancé. We drove about 25-30 mins to get here and it was worth every minute. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Chrome coffee is the whole package: perfectly crafted drinks, simple but also creative drink menu, bright airy interior, seating inside and out, friendly, smiling staff, and a clean bathroom. Coffee lovers will enjoy the ube macchiato because I definitely did. There's comfy seating by the window and plenty of tables and seating along the wall. I'll be back, again and again.

    Lavender Haze

I was dropping something off at the post office and was heading back to work as I stumbled across this place. It was very hot today, so I wanted a nice and cool ice drink to enjoy. The place is rather nice and open, a typical coffee shop. The menu was very straightforward, but the "almost summer" menu caught my attention. Lavender Haze: This was a cool and refreshing drink. It is a three shot latte (opted for oat milk) with pumps of lavender and strawberry syrup to give it a floral and sweet flavor profile. The coffee was not too strong, but still had that midafternoon kick. The large cup is plentiful and the subtle hints of lavender wafted throughout the drink. The strawberry also played a subtle role as well. Overall, a nice experience and I look forward to coming back again.

The first time, I was deciding between two drinks and asked the cashier which one she recommended. I went with her suggestion, but after trying it, I realized I really didn't like the taste. I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.

Service was cool the person helping me was sweet as pie and helpful (I'm dairy free and I'm not a fan of caramel) so they do have dairy free options so don't fret over that. Was recommended a popular drink called the "So Vanilla" and it was just a bit too sweet for me. Had a funky before and after taste. Thought I was going crazy, had my husband try it and it was funky to him too and he doesn't really drink coffee like that. We couldn't finish it so it kinda just sat on my desk all day and I ended up making a coffee at the office. I used to be a barista for about 6 years and I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so maybe it just wasn't for me! Was a bit pricey too at around $8.00 + tip it came out to around $9.25. Not economical to spend money like that on coffee either especially in this current economy. Gave them 3 stars because there does not appear to be much modification you can do to a drink if you don't like something in it or want to add something (wanted a matcha instead and couldn't add vanilla to it and they offered vanilla cold foam *im dairy free :)*). BUT if you're looking for a sweet treat then this may be the place for you! Give it a chance like I did, everything is always worth trying!

This Hawaiian French restaurant is something out of LA, San Francisco, or even Honolulu/Waikiki. Such a great brunch spot! The interior decor is like a ruined old-French still quarter building with the visuals of balconies just like Paris. There are even classic vintage French poster prints on the wall with an island touch of plants hanging and the music of Polynesian reggae in the background. The menu is great with lots of items to choose from as well as a wine list. We started with a mimosa carafe with 5 different juice flavors to choose from like mango, strawberry, passionfruit, orange, etc. I ordered their Loco Moco which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I did love the way they cooked my burger patty (medium), so it had some nice char texture. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp with coconut fried rice. This tasted delicious and very authentic. It was better than some dishes I actually had in Hawaii. The French toast was regular and tasted nothing different than other's I've tried. It was toasted more than the usual to give it some crispy texture in which I loved. Overall, this bistro is phenomenal, and I will definitely take my family here for brunch next time. Their service is quick and very attentive which is important. Even though the place got packed up, the two employees frequently checked on people. I want to try more, and I'll be back soon.
