I don't even know where to start but I left with the worst haircut. NO style or shape. Just awful! Not even close to the photos I showed her. She told me what she did after she made the cuts. Didn't ask me what I thought. The water heater is currently broken and she washed my hair with ice cold water. I was not even advised of this prior to her whacking off a chunk of my hair before washing it because that was easier for her. At this point it was too late to leave. My stylist talked a mile a minute and was making absolutely no sense. She then started a conversation with someone else. In the midst of that conversation she looked right at me and said quiet people give me the creeps. That is not even the half of it. No excuses for this behavior or horrible result. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. TLDR: Taylor at Chroma the Salon took more than 4 undiscussed inches off of my hair, used a razor to unevenly butcher (for lack of any better description) the back of my hair down to almost my scalp in some places. The color that was done is inconsistent with inexplicable bleach looking spots. Overall, nothing near the cut/color that was initially discussed or requested. I asked for my money back for the cut and was refused by Taylor herself, the manager, and the owner. They each cited "store policy" of no refunds, only offering to get my hair "fixed" by Taylor, and ONLY Taylor. Yes, they made sure I knew that if I wanted it "fixed" by any other stylist at the salon besides Taylor, I would be CHARGED for it! (There is no mention of this policy anywhere online where I booked the appointment, nor was this policy ever stated in any conversation online or in person before the service.) Not one of them offered a sincere apology, nor could Taylor explain her actions beyond using the words "accidently took too much off". More details- After arriving at the salon we discussed the cut which I explained thoroughly, my hairstyle was grown out and I needed a trim of the length and layers. I used my words to explain the cut, used my hand to show her where the length should fall, AND showed 3 pictures of how I keep my hair. Without warning or communication, she started dry chopping at my hair with scissors. Immediately it was noticeably uneven. At one point after the wash she made an unprompted, incredibly inappropriate joke which made me incredibly uncomfortable. At no point did she ask further questions about the cut, nor she communicate at all what she was doing when she began razoring off the hair at the nape of my neck. As soon as the razoring started I spiraled into an anxiety attack because I knew my hair would be beyond repair. Her behavior and demeanor became noticeably panicked. When she went to show me how she was styling my hair with a straight iron, she could not even curl it properly because it was so short and uneven. The color was least of my problems at that point, but it also wasn't what I asked for or discussed. I reached out immediately to request a refund. Instead I was given the opportunity to "fix" my hair as they 'don't offer refunds'. Manager was rude and combative on the phone, and wanted to see my hair before "discussing a refund". Come to find, she was never going to discuss a refund, she just wanted to get me back into the salon. Upon arriving I was effectively ambushed by Taylor, who had been told by her manager that she was "fixing" my hair. Their offer was a free scalp treatment and "pampering". Because that's what every woman wants after getting all of her hair cut off without consent right? I told them that I didn't want anyone else touching my hair, and there was no "fixing" it. After escalating my issue to the owner, she had the audacity to tell me "you still have hair left" and that Taylor had given me a "french bob". Reader- look at the pictures and be the judge. (also DIDNT ASK FOR A BOB OF ANY KIND!!) What could have been as simple as apologizing for screwing up and giving me my money back for a completely botched service, turned in to me having to argue with 3 grown women that they needed to make an exception to "policy" due to the situation. I had to purchase a wig to cover this atrocity while it grows out, which is going to take months for the sides and probably a year for the back. I didn't receive a sincere apology or explanation from any of them. read more

Long story short , well i will try 1. first time i did my hair was with a girl name Noelle she did my was not a bad color i did like it she did leave hair like more brassy she promised me next time i come she will leave my hair the color i want . 2.I call to make my appt for a retouch they inform me Noelle was no longer with them i still did the appt because i knew they had my color written down on a paper. 3. i went to my appt was with Miranda she had no idea which colors they had put on me telling they did a mess in my hair so she even call Noelle asking her what she had done well i should off left the salon at this time but decided to give a chance since Noelle told her what to Do . She started bleaching my hair the toning it my hair was like rainbow different colors nothing like Noelle color so yellow i think she remove the bleach too fast so she re bleach it again at this time she was sooo mad i didn't ask to be bleach again jusf to put a different toner well she bleach it my scalp started to burn i told Miranda about right away she run call someone which i assume Becky the owner . she came with a clipboard and a document asking to sign it i ask her what it was she said oh its just on the services we are doing today . I was not stupid to sign it i knew it was if my hair fall off it was not their responsibility. Im not a hair stylist but this paper is it given to a person who wants to get bleach and the hair is damage and they inform that it could fall then they give this document . ATTN THEY NEVER INFORM ME OF ANYTHING OR WARN ME OF ANYTHING THEY JUST BLEACH IT !!!! TWICE NOT BY MY REQUEST NOR THEY INFORM ME ON SECOND BLEACH . She said fine if you dont want to sign it well i felt my head on FIRE i told her again she wash it and tone it my hair turn so orange she had to call the Owner Becky to come fix Becky said i wont let you go out looking like that she tone it and offer me free shampoo and conditioner she plus still charge over $140 she said used this products and next time i will Do your hair and promised to get me the blonde i want . Note MY SCALP WAS SO BURN I couldn't shower for ONE WEEK MY SCALP SKIN WAS PEELING AND FALLING FOR A MONTH !! read more

Awful salon. I went here for 6 months before I decided to take the plunge and look elsewhere. 1) The first time I walked in a bunch of the stylists were just standing looking at the scheduling, and I said "hello". They looked at me, and went back to what they were doing. That should have been my sign that this was a crap salon. 2) I worked with Lisa, and bless her heart, she is not a great stylist. I understand my hair was wrecked but she barely fixed it each time. I wanted to go from dark to blonde, and each time she'd give me highlights and everytime I'd go home with a line where she stopped right before the roots on EVERY layer. There was NO blending. She also left 90% of the back of my head dark and patchy while the front of my head was bright blonde with no dimension whatsoever! Moreover, when she was washing my hair she'd always wipe her wet hand across my face when trying to stop the water from spraying me and to wash the front part of my hair (so if you do decide to see her just forego makeup because she most definitely will wipe it off if.) I will say that she does an impeccable job with curls and she's a nice person. 3) The salon gossips about other clients. If you share your business here, it's now everyone's business. Often times I'd be quietly sitting in my chair and I'd hear other stylists talking to their clients about another client's problems. I like to know that if I confide in anyone that they will keep that information to themselves personally, and this salon is not the place for that. I will say that I appreciated the online booking, cleanliness of the salon, and the fact that they NEVER pushed products on me! The prices were reasonable and a little cheaper than other local salons, but honestly if you care at all about how your hair looks and the quality of your experience: look elsewhere. read more

Had Lisa for the first time today, probably the sweetest girl ever! She took the time to make sure we were doing what was best for my hair to achieve the desired results. Also the girls working here seemed friendly with each other so it was an easy going vibe. I'm not a terribly picky person but have been bleaching my hair out for over 12 years so I recognize when my hair comes out how I ask. Lisa achieved what most stylist fall short doing, "as blond as possible". I am very pleased with my experience and have already booked my next appointment. read more

I got my hair cut, highlighted, and styled here a few weeks back. Nikki was my stylist and she was amazing! Everyone at the location was super nice and friendly from what I could tell. The salon was clean, very up to date, and in a nice location. Posted a pic of my new look on Facebook and everyone loved. People wanted to know who my stylist was so I of course recommend Nikki. The prices in my opinion were great as well. Loved the ability to schedule the appointment online and was given text reminders. I will for use be going back in the future. read more

Fantastic local hair salon that is 5 stars for sure! I am never disappointed with the outcome of my hair. I love my stylist Lisa K! She always does a wonderful job with hair color, cuts and lashes! She listens and does exactly what I want done with my hair and I never feel like she is rushing to get me in and out. I never feel pressured to buy product or cut my hair every time I do a color. I do not feel intimidated going here as I have in the past at other salons. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel comfortable & welcome while there. I have been twice and will not return. I worked with Lisa who was supposed to do a simple color treatment and the results on the second visit are simply awful. She realized she made a mistake but offered no apology and recommend that I use a clarifying shampoo and return in 2 to 3 days so she can fix the problem she caused. No thanks! There are several better options located in the same part of Omaha and I will be visiting one of those to fix my botched treatment. read more

I went to Chroma over a Wednesday lunch hour, and I found the salon to be very quiet and relaxed. Nikki Sheibal was very friendly and did a great job. I was going from long to medium length for summer, and she understood how scary it can be to have 3+ inches of your hair cut off. She gave me a very lovely head massage with the shampoo. She gave me a clean, stylish haircut and spent a great deal of time styling my hair. Nikki listened to me explain what I wanted and replicated it very well. I would definitely recommend! read more

This Salon is pretty and upbeat however I am disgusted with the way they run things . I used a groupon for $55 for a cut and highlight and decided to try an ombré instead which I then had to pay and additional $70. My hair looked ridiculous all you could see was a change in color in the 2 inches of outgrowth and the rest was all blonde. I called the manager/ owner 3 times she refused to talk to me I was told and the stylist handles problems on her own I went back a 2nd time and it still looks exactly the same. It looks like nothing was done. Great clips thought this was amusing so I thought I'd write a review. Clearly the management or owner does not give a damn about making the customers happy. I will never return and think it's sad businesses are ran this way. And still I walk around looking like a fool waiting until I can afford to go to a real salon read more
