Looking the guitar over I noticed the nut for the instrument jack was loose and asked that it be tightened prior to purchasing. On a semi-hollow & hollow body guitars this can be a tedious task, hence why I asked for assistance. The guitar tech, Dimitri, stopped what he was doing and went above and beyond my expectations to remedy the problem. It was not a quick fix and he kept me updated throughout the process. Starving Musician is my first stop when looking for music gear. They have been around as long as I can remember and offer the best trade-in value for your used gear. Always a great experience.

My ukelele is a soprano, a great beginner ukelele I was practicing with, got it for $75 with tax and a carrying bag included in my purchase, if I remember correctly, tag price was $69.99 I did ask if there was something similar to a brand/type of ukelele I started my practice with but I was then getting sold onto the more expensive pieces that I didn't have experience with and didn't ask for so that was a miss for me. Wish I got more of a relevant recommendation but the workers were sweet, they let us browse by ourselves for a good amount of time before stepping in (which good for me because I needed time to think, compare, and browse). When we went, there were a handful of other customers inside the store, it's located in a small shopping center but the store is bigger inside than it appears on the outside. The parking situation was just okay, not bad, could use a tad bit more space, we went ~1p the parking lot was full minus 2-3 spots but I noticed cars came and went from the time we got there until we left so it seems like there's a couple spots free at any given time due to the traffic coming in and out for small errands. Lots of instruments and accessories to be found inside and the workers seem to be happy to help find what is needed! Pretty well organized inside to find what you need on your own though, I was able to find the ukeleles quickly.

I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised with their service, in terms of quality, price, friendliness and turnaround time. Since then, I have been going to Scott Cao Violins pretty much exclusively. I love the convenience of the location and hours for my personal situation, and I haven't been disappointed once with their service. We can make sure that my daughter's talent won't be ruined by those piano teachers who didn't have much professional training before and just teach for money ending up destroying children's potential piano careers. We are so blessed that we met Nina and have her to be my little girl's piano teacher. Being able to play guitar is my longtime dream. Been trying to look for a teacher about 3 month; tried out a few teachers but they didn't really quite meet my needs and expectations. Finally, I found Chris and is very happy and satisfied. He is very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He takes his time with his students and he tailors his teaching based on their needs and personality. Another particular thing I like about Chris is that helping his students build a good foundation, proper guitar skills is one of his strong suits. He did that and more: he created a audio-loop of forests sounds that added to the ambiance of the event. Our process consisted of an initial meeting, which was a phone call in our case, and a final phone call closer to the wedding day to finalize music selections. His song list on his website helped me get ideas for music I wanted on the wedding day. The band played them beautifully in the wedding. Lemo provided great entertainment and energy through his mix of music. Not only is he a great musician, but he's a wonderful person and that really came through in his interactions with our guests. Everyone loved the music. I was a little worried about having amplified music in our backyard possibly bothering some neighbors and I would totally understand it. We had no problems and to my surprise, someone on nextdoor commented that they heard music they really enjoyed and wanted to know who the musician was! Raju Dholi charged $650 for one hour to play on the wedding day during the Bharat entry. He added a…read more$100 dollar fee on top of that for the groom's side arriving one hour late. His deposit was $100. The milni and Bharat was ready, but he refused to start playing until the entire payment was made on the spot. He played for a total of 3 minutes and immediately left, even though the services were for one hour. $750 paid for 3 minutes. The services were half assed and done in a hurry so that he could go to his next booking. He justified everything by saying that he has been in the industry for 14 years. Regardless of the poor services, I sent a thank you message afterwards and apology for the inconvenience. There was no reply. There was zero customer service or accommodation for the groom's side arriving 1 hour late, which was driving ~200 people 2.5 hours from the wedding location on a traffic heavy Friday morning. To any families hiring for wedding services, I would be extremely cautious of service providers who use their "14 years of experience" as a shield for poor customer service, unprofessionalism, and mediocre services. I would also be wary of service providers who book back to back clients. Their incentive is to bank on their marketing, branding, and "14 years of experience" to make quick money. This results in an overall low quality service per client. Early on, service providers do their best to satisfy their clients in order to acquire a client base. However, if their quality goes down after they become popular, they become overconfident from high demand. They care less about customer satisfaction and their performance is poor. That is the biggest red flag to watch out for. Hoping this helps other families that are wedding planning so they don't get ripped off and taken advantage of.

Two days of incredible fun. An insanely good dhol player. A DJ with an amazing ability to keep the energy going. Most importantly he performed extremely well under pressure. Salvaged an entrance that went too long by expertly mixing the entrance song in a way that it looped perfectly. I would absolutely recommend them for any party.
