I expressed to Felipe from the start that I wanted them to play a number of danzones. My grandfather had been a trumpet player and played in a mariachi band and orquesta in his native Chihuahua. Aside from the danzones, I requested El Corrido de Chihuahua y Viva Chihuahua. Felipe assured me that they would study the danzones and Viva Chihuahua.
