I had Emanuel as my vocal coach and really enjoyed working with him. I liked his teaching style, and with each session I felt more confident and could see my singing improving. He does a great job explaining things in a way that's easy to understand, even getting into the anatomy of how the voice works, which I found really helpful. I had to miss a few sessions because of work, but Sarah and Emanuel was always great about helping me schedule makeup sessions and was very responsive whenever I had questions. Overall, I've had a great experience and would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to improve their singing in a supportive and welcoming environment. read more

I've been getting lessons from Jinifer and she's the best! So kind, understanding and really tries to explain the mechanics of signing properly so that you get it. I started off having a really hard time bridging my registers and I also had poor technique has my voice was pretty breathy, but through different lessons I've really seen my voice transform and get stronger, and now I can go between registers much smoother! It's been such a difference now that I know what proper technique is and I also just love learning from Jinifer. She points out things that I would have never noticed and is constantly trying to help me improve my sound in such a helpful and constructive way. Highly recommend! read more

Scam. Gabby is amazing - can't say the same for the owner. Don't sign the provided contract. Deal with your voice coach independently. read more

I thought my voice was stuck the way it was. Singing and never feeling like I could confidently hit any notes above my lower range in a strong voice. I have had many vocal teachers in the past and thought I'd give vocal lessons one more chance. I'm so glad I did! Sarah quickly reached out to my request and vocal magic happened!! Sarah and her team at Soulfulwake teach using a different method than I had been taught before that really lets you set your voice up for all types of songs and notes. I've been in lessons for 8 or so months and my singing voice has changed dramatically and I have already confidently reached notes in a strong voice like I never thought was possible. Even in the first month I noticed a difference and confidence I never had. As with everything, trust the process and if you stick to it- lessons at Soulfulwake will change your voice to sing songs you didn't think you could. I can only imagine what my voice will continue to accomplish as I continue lessons. You will learn practice skills, troubleshooting techniques, and even learn about the science of your instrument (aka yourself) to accomplish more than you can dream of. I highly recommend Soulfulwake- but only if you want to achieve your goals. :) read more

With great joy, I give my HIGHEST recommendation that you hire Sarah Mitchell as your new vocal coach! In addition to singing, she also teaches song writing, guitar, and piano. Not only is Sarah a naturally gifted teacher, but she is warm, personable, and so encouraging which keeps you motivated! So enjoyable to learn from her and see yourself progress as a singer! Additionally, she is a very organized, focused, and responsive person with excellent communication skills which makes it easy to understand her. As a caring coach, she uses various ways of teaching to ensure that her students learn the vocal technique called "Speech Level Singing". This technique is what vocal coaches on the tv show "American Idol" use with contestants to improve their singing! It's very effective! When I was her student, Sarah introduced me to proper breathing, helpful warm up exercises, and had me practice singing one of my favorite songs to apply the new methods. Exciting!! To be honest, she inspired me "find my true voice". I no longer felt the need to sing a song the same way like the original artist, and I felt a greater sense of freedom to be myself as a singer! After only a few lessons, the tone of my voice improved right away, and I was able to sing with confidence!! I am totally confident that you will enjoy working with Sarah as you put in the time and effort to pursue your singing goals and dreams!! Best to you!!! read more

I've been taking lessons with Sarah for a little over a year. My voice was a disaster when I started. In that time Sarah has helped my voice get so much stronger and extended my range dramatically. (I really was a lost cause when I started.) Sarah has a passion for singing and a knack for teaching. Whenever I have hit a wall or felt frustrated she has been there to encourage me and always has a different approach or exercise to try which unblocks me. I also appreciate how much she lets the lessons be about my specific goals and journey. Everything we do together feels tailored to what I want to get out of our time together. And lastly, she's a lot of fun. The lessons are often hard work, but Sarah's attitude and joy of singing always keep it fun. Thank you, Sarah. read more

Where to even begin... in my year of working with Sarah I've grown so much as a singer. :) I feel so much stronger throughout my range and feel as though I can comfortably sing much harder songs than what I've started. I've sung throughout my life but now more than ever I get so many more compliments on my singing, especially from people with training! I started lessons with Sarah about a year ago, and my voice has developed SO much! On my first lesson, she asked me what I want to do with my voice and what kind of music I like to sing. From there, we have been doing exactly that - and I have gotten so much better. Sarah also teaches how to sing in a way that is very healthy. She knows how to develop my voice in a way that doesn't strain it or wear it out. She's also super kind and understanding, and always has the best for me in mind. It's been 1 year since I started taking lessons with Sarah, and it's one of the most fulfilling experiences for me. First, she is able to articulate instructions on how to improve technique in a way that I, as a beginner, can understand. She explains why we practice certain exercises and how they affect the muscle memory in our voice box in order to build our tone. She is a naturally vibrant and humorous woman, so the lessons are fun and make one more comfortable singing in front of another person. She also knows how to communicate in a positive manner with constructive feedback for improvement. Finally, she is a motivated person and you can see her confidence while she's teaching - that kind of energy is contagious. Keep up the great work Sarah - I'm still sticking around! read more
