Highly recommend. Jorge and his mariachi crew did a wonderful job for our school entertainment recently. He was punctual, played an array of songs and engaged our guests ranging from young to old. Reasonable prices too. read more

Great performers, very questionable business ethics. In a back and forth with emails and schedule changes, the guy in charge - Jorge - never raised any flags about time conflicts when they were given the schedule for my brother's wedding in order to bill for a time they are sitting idle for an hour before guests are scheduled to arrive. When my father and I had a talk with him he was showing us the back and forth and trying to misinterpret ny brothers language to my dad who is not a native English speaker - trying to pull an extra $200 for a PA that was not brought by them - only a scum bag would try to take advantage of someone's language barrier. I'm glad I was present because other wise my dad would've handed money over for equipment not brought/used for their performance and I could see this guy got annoyed at my interjection, and suddenly acting he was doing us a favor by not billing the $200.00 - of course when they packed up, they didn't haul a speaker with them. GO FIGURE. Make sure you document everything well, and don't let their snake tongued ring leader try to pull a fast one over the person who hired them/handling payment. When he was trying to show us emails as back up he would conveniently scroll over dozens of threads until he showed a single one-reply email to back up what he was claiming.

Jorge was very responsive and answered all my questions to coordinate their performance at my friend's wedding anniversary. They have an excellent mariachis song set list. I was able to select all my favorites for the event. The even accompanied me in music for some of my songs dedicated to the couple. I loved that they also have a harp within their group because this was my great grandfather's instrument. read more

I hired Mariachi Estelar for my brothers wedding. I can't express how much I appreciated their work. Not only was Jorge very accommodating & professional, he took his time to call me to figure out to the plan for the wedding. Jorge was flexible with working around our schedule. Since it was a surprise they made sure to keep it a secret. They went around to each table & played a song during dinner time. Everybody kept on raving about the harp! Mariachi Estelar was the talk of the night! I will definitely be hiring them for my next event! Thank you Mariachi Estelar for making my brothers wedding so magical! read more

They played at my grandmas funeral and were amazing. Highly recommend them to play at your next event.

I appreciate Mariachi Esteler for coming & performing at my wedding in June, it was very important to us & our families. Although I am quite disappointed! We couldn't really hear them as they didn't use a microphone, so was difficult to truly enjoy. In addition, I had to pay an extra $$$ fee just for them to wear there sombreros. Sombreros are traditional! That was the first time in our experience having to pay extra, not only that they only wore them for 30min! I understand the hats can be heavy/hot, although that is why I'm paying extra for you to wear them... not extra to maintenance them. I have expressed my disappointment to Jorge and he promised my money back, and yet has delivered. read more

This was my first time booking with Mariachi Estelar. I reached to Jorge to inquire availability and pricing for my sister's Celebration of Life and Memorial. He was very responsive and accommodate our requests. His professional team arrived on time and sang my sister's favorite songs including Dios Nunca Muere. Our guests were pleased that we remembered my sister with what she loved.. musica Mexicana! read more

Mariachi Estelar ("ME") lives up to its name, they are truly stellar! I hired ME to play at my daughter's quinceanera last week and they were simply phenomenal. More than half the guests had never been to a quinceanera nor heard a mariachi. I hired the mariachi with 10 musicians to play (they even brought a harp!) and they sounded so good, the singers and musicians were always on key, had great technique, and exuded such confidence. Jorge, the band leader and contact person, was very responsive and jumped through various hoops the venue demanded of my vendors, including signing a Vendor Agreement and procuring a Certificate of Insurance. ME played the songs I asked them to play, they came dressed in beautiful outfits that matched the venue color (gold), had a sharp, professional demeanor at all times and stayed on schedule! They made me feel so proud of my Mexican culture/heritage, and my guests could not stop raving about how good they were. They made the party feel like a truly elegant Mexican celebration. If you are looking to hire a quality mariachi, this is the one you want to hire. I spent hours watching videos of the different Northern California mariachis and ME was just the best around and had the most consistently good reviews. I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and even passed out their business card to several of my guests/friends who were asking about them. Several of my party guests were professional salsa musicians and dancers, and they were amongst the most impressed by ME. If you want a truly top-notch mariachi, look no further! Hire Mariachi Estellar. You won't regret it. A+ read more

I have emailed them in three different occasions over the past five years. Never received a message or a call back.

Five stars doesn't even come close to rating how fabulous this band really is! Jorge and his band of talented musicians are amazing to say the least! I am so happy that I was able to book them for my dad's surprise birthday party! In the month leading up to the event, Jorge was very professional and communicative with all the adjustments that were made. In order to book, them I had to adjust the hours that they would play in order for them to have enough time to commute to their next event and to ensure that they had a break for each hour they played. It was the least I could do because they played their hearts out! Their harp player had a conflict come up and I begged for him to attend since the harp really adds life to the Mariachi music. He made it work and I am so grateful that he was able to play at our event! Thank you so much! My family kept telling me how great they were and they loved all the songs that they played. My family is Mexican so they know what a great Mariachi band sounds like! I can't wait to have another event so that I can book. Thank you Mariachi Estelar, you guys rock! read more

We were looking for a mariachi group for my moms funeral local to Hayward/Union City area. I placed a search via yelp, and two out of the 4 groups contacted me. One was a flamenco singer and the other was Mariachi Estelar, they sent me their link to the website and texted. Which is awesome. Everything was done via phone. The cost was extremely reasonable and I was able to book and pay my deposit on my phone through Venmo. Day of the even they made it special and did a awesome job. My mother would of loved how they performed and made her day so special that I am very thankful that Jorge worked with me and was patient and just awesome the whole way till the end. read more

The Mariachi Estelar was beyond amazing. I hired them for a surprise birthday party. They were on time and kept everything professional. The singer of the Mariachi was very social & funny. They made the part lively. The main singer of the mariachi encourged our guests to sing the song they requested to hear without intimidation. My mother-in law who is vert shy got up to sing with the Mariachi. It was awesome. I highly recommed them. Jorge is who we made a contract with and everything was easy to set. We will definitly hire them for future events ! Thank you Jorge read more

Now that we've decided to move forward with our covid-postponed event (like many others!) we called Mariachi Estelar. Even though it's relatively short notice, and they're completely booked for the day of our event, Jorge went the extra mile to consider our location/time in order to refer us to other mariachis. Truly STELLAR service. I can see why they've earned 5 stars!! We will definitely consider Mariachi Estelar for our next event! read more

I have a vision for a plan that required a distinguished Mariachi group, after doing multiple searches on social media, and yelp. I came across Mariachi Estelar. After a brief exchange over text, Jorge assisted me in placing a deposit and booking for a very early morning surprise. The surprise is in a couple of days and I am overly excited to see this come to life. The 5 stars as of right now are for the quick responses, communication, and booking process. Once my vision comes to life I will post quality photos, videos, and an updated review. I am completely thrilled they are available and ecstatic to see this come together. Will update you soon. Update 04/12/2023: Where to begin, these guys were epic. I had a vision and they executed and exceeded my expectations. They looked so great in their uniforms and showed up on time. They were professional, and warm and handled everything gracefully even though it was 7 A.M (LOL). Mariachi is a meaningful and culturally rich form of music. The meaning of mariachi is far beyond the surface, I am a first-generation Mexican American but my father is not. So being able to bring a piece home with music that brings out ALL the feels was something on my bucket list. They live up to the standards and then some. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to spice up any kind of event. This was a surprise serenade early morning on a weekday and they did not disappoint in the least bit. Pricing is fair, and taking into consideration that this is what feeds their families it's a small token to pay. I encourage you to hire. I was pleasantly impressed. read more

Mariachi Estelar is the best. I hired them as a surprise gift for my Bita's (what I call my abuelita) birthday party that also happened to fall on Easter. Despite it being a holiday that most people would want to enjoy with their own families, these guys came out and put on an amazing performance for my Bita! My Bita is like a second mother to me and bringing mariachis to her was a dream of mine especially now due to her battling cancer. Jorge is amazing! Communication was great and the performance was better than I could have imagined. They arrived on time and gave my Bita the best surprise. It couldn't of gone any better. They were a lively bunch!! They honestly felt like family, the vibe was beautiful! My family and I will definitely keep hiring Mariachi Estelar here on out!! Hands down one of the best mariachis out here. I've had the honor of seeing them perform at events as well as hiring them for my own personal parties. My fondest memory is also a sad one.
