Spencer performed at a recent event I attended and he was fantastic. The magic was impressive and his showmanship was so much fun! His energy is next level. A great entertaining experience! Just had Spencer for our wedding and it was AMAZING. We had Spencer perform some mingling magic during cocktail hour + had ~5 minute finale trick during reception. It's been a few days after our wedding, and one of the main things guests have brought up to me is how cool Spencer's tricks were. I really think this brought excitement and engagement for both sides of our families together, and their reactions were truly priceless. I 100% do not regret having Spencer perform at our wedding - it was such a great time. His tricks actually blew my mind (and other guests as well) - this is some Vegas magic! If you want some fun moments at your event, I highly recommend Spencer! read more

We had Spencer at our wedding reception and he was FANTASTIC! We wanted to create a fun atmosphere where guests could mingle & interact...and Spencer's style of magic was perfect for us! His intimate interactions enabled our guests to see his magic up close; and they were all wow'ed by his talents! Our reception was just a week ago, and we've already had two guests ask for his contact info. Spencer & his team were also incredibly easy to work with, from scheduling to the day of the event. Spencer even stayed an extra hour so that my husband & I would have a chance to witness his magic! We highly recommend hiring Spencer Grey Magic for any event - it's so unique, and will get your guests talking! :) read more

The idea of having a magician for our wedding was a bit of an odd request from me to my wife, however I was adamant that I wanted to surprise our guests with a special event of something unique and "magical". In addition, this request was special to me because our wedding day landed on my father's birthday (May 21) - who is no longer with us, and he absolutely loved magic when he was alive. It was a personal tribute to him from me. So I was looking for an entertaining magician who would be able to mold to our mature crowd that could also be witty, funny and risqué - someone who could work the crowd and be personable. I also wanted a magician who had mad skills but also didn't take things too seriously...I know...this preference is super specific and I wasn't really confident I'd find someone like that. After watching many videos of different local magicians, I came across Spencer Grey! A likeable young witty individual who seemed to be a natural at working the crowd. His routines seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I will tell you that Spencer truly exceeded our expectations! He did a 20 minute staged routine as an introduction and our guests loved him. Then he went into walking magic for the rest of the night where he would approach micro crowds and do his random creative magic routines. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about him! Spencer is the type of guy who absolutely loves his job and you can really tell by the way he Carrie's himself and how he treats his audience. In addition, he got personal with us and truly got to know us more than just clients. My wife ended up being so happy that I booked him! Spencer ended up staying longer than he had to, and mingled with us and our guests while throwing magic at us throughout the night! I'm glad that we not only met a magician, but really someone I would call a friend. My dad would have had a ball having him at his birthday. Thanks from the bottom of my heart Spencer! read more

The entire group had a really awesome time and was constantly surprised at every turn! Everyone was still talking about it and trying to figure out how some of the tricks were done!!!! I highly recommend Spencer for your party!!!!! We would definitely hire him again for future parties!!!! read more

Better than great. He helped make our 50th anniversary party into a truly magical evening. He did strolling magic during cocktail hour, table magic during dinner, emceed the after dinner speeches and finally did a magic show engaging family members to participate in fantastic tricks. All throughout he was charming and personable and did incredible close up magic. And his preparation was also outstanding as we talked through iterations of the schedule for the evening. His participation in the preparation gave us confidence in his ability and he exceeded expectations. Would hire him again in an instant. Would pay to see him perform. Thank you Spencer. read more

Spencer is a highly skilled magician and made a 30th birthday party a memorable one for everyone. He performed close up magic during a cocktail hour and after dinner he put on a 45 minute show. We loved every minute of it. Spencer was very well prepared and brought his own equipment, including audio. Genuinely impressive magic and mentalism tricks mixed with charismatic showmanship and comedy, will definitely be hiring Spencer again! read more

I had Spencer preform at my husband's 80th birthday party. He was far and away the HIT of the party. Folks were transfixed with his magic and he was very funny in his presentations and set ups. He will enliven any party, event or business gathering. He had great timing and gave us 45 minutes of sheer joy. We will use him again for any big event in the future. I give him my highest recommendation. Hire this dude. read more

We saw Spencer perform at a special evening event at our elementary school. When i heard "magic show" i was ready for something corny. But within the first few moments i was really impressed with the energy of performance, [and even more surprisingly] my 5th grade son was hyper-focused on the show. He had told me on the way to the event that he hoped he didn't get picked to be on stage in front of everyone-- but then he *loved the show so much* he volunteered to participate in the big finale!! My son treasures his souvenir from the show and has a brand new excitement for magic/illusions. Big thank you to Spencer for crafting a show that kept both adults and kids engaged. read more

I searched many magicians and magic shows for my son's 5th Bday party at a park. I took a chance on Spencer. He did an awesome job!! The 20+ kids where very engaged and entertained for the whole length of the show, around 45 min. The adults were supper engaged as well with his magic tricks and humor! He was hilarious. My son got to participate in a couple tricks and the audience as well. (Both kids and adults!) After the party, many parents congratulated me on the show. My kid wants to have him again next year! Thank you, Spencer for a great party! read more

We hired Spencer for my son's bar mitzvah. He was amazing!!! There were around 350 people there and he just walked around to groups of our friends and families doing magic. He looked like another guest at the party then he would bust out some magic. Everyone loved him. His tricks were mind blowing. He did this one where my buddy was holding a full deck of cards between his hands and the cards all just disappeared except for the one that I picked. It was crazy!!! He was so fun and personable. He stayed way later than what we paid him for. Spencer's the best!!! read more

Spencer performed at my wedding in Napa. He was very professional throughout the whole booking process and his fees were very reasonable. Because it was a smaller wedding (35 people) we wanted some entertainment without having a band or DJ. So we hired Spencer to perform a 45 minute stage show in front of our guests to close out the night. He did a great job getting the crowd involved, was very personable and funny. We also loved the magic! It was a highlight of the evening. We highly recommend Spencer. read more

I saw Spencer perform at a show called Mad Magic right before Halloween and it was Ah-Mazing! I got there early hoping to get a good seat but as soon as the doors opened, the place filled up! However, my seat in the back didn't stop me from enjoying the show. Spencer Grey acted as the host and performer for this particular show and he did a flawless job of transitioning from magician to magician with small (but mind boggling) tricks in between. He kept the show going with his humor that had the whole room laughing and was able to easily roll with the punches of the show. My only complaint was that I wanted to see more of him! After the show, Spencer and the other magicians in the show were nice enough to take pictures and sign autographs with everyone who attended. I would definitely go see him again! read more

This review is for an initial inquiry - my husband and I were really impressed with Spencer's ability to entertain any crowd (kids or adults) and wanted to have him over at our son's birthday party. I left a voicemail for Spencer and got a call back very promptly. He was very personable and patient with me on the phone through my many questions and was even willing to cater to our train themed party. Many other entertainers that I had called didn't bother to get back to me. Even though he didn't have availability for this specific event as it was a very short notice, we'll be sure to contact him in the future for other events. read more

I don't review much on Yelp, but I cannot stop smiling from the event we had this past Saturday and how much Spencer had to do with making the night so special. We hired Spencer to be a roaming magician for my son's Las Vegas themed Bar Mitzvah party. We wanted him to just arrive and start wandering around the room doing up close magic with the guests. Arranging everything up front was so easy and Spencer was super easy to work with. The night of the party, Spencer arrived when he said he would and instantly made the party so much cooler. Adults and kids were all completely impressed with every trick he did and he is just completely engaging and nice and positive and so much fun. My son (the guest of honor) is still trying to figure everything out. He really took the time to engage with people and every person I saw him with had a huge smile on their face. I could not recommend working with Spencer enough. He is talented, professional and sure to make any event you hire him for even better. Thank you so much for making the night so epic! read more
