Doug really IS a magician. He cast a spell over 30-40 kids of all ages when he provided magic for a group of underprivileged kids and their recovering moms at a shelter our Exchange Club supports every Christmas. Doug was the highlight of the event. These kids have suffered a lot and don't have much to look forward to every day, but if you could have seen the smiles on their faces, it would have brought tears to your eyes. Doug performed at our Senior facility in Morgan Hill. We expected to see the typical magician doing the usual card tricks and maybe the famous act of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Doug performed a magic show for my daughter's kindergarten....4 classes with a total of 120 children. It was on her 6th birthday and the children had a blast and the teachers were falling off their chairs with laughter. Doug interacted with my daughter and made her part of the show along with the other children as well. You can tell Doug does this because he loves magic and loves making children and people laugh. After the show parents commented for weeks about how their kids talked about the magician and how they were still trying to figure out how the tricks were done. Doug has performed his magic delighting kids and families at The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Celebrates Courageous Kids Event for several years now. This event, held on Mother's Day, is for families who have a child with cancer. There are about 2500-3000 people at the Picnic Grove at Great America.
