I was hosting my sister's baby shower and had a very specific vision that I needed help executing - I wanted puppy balloons as the table centerpieces. Problem was, my inspiration pictures were highly specialized pieces from artists in Japan and Malaysia. There are only 1-2 known artists in the entire Bay Area that would consider taking on this type of work - that is, until I met Pat! Recently had Pat at our church's Pride on the Corner festival to create balloon animals & hats. He was a big hit with both kids and adults. I agree with Susan P. This guy was rude when I was trying to ask him about pricing. He made me feel horrible and pretty much told me he didn't want my business because I wasnt willing to pay over three hundred dollars for entertainment. I ended spending that much anyway on someone else who provided amazing service from the beginning and probably makes balloons just as great if not better. Also, I actually saw the cheap clown ($200+) at a party. His act sucked, I've seen more entertaining storybook readers at the local library, and he was kind of cranky with the kids and told inappropriate jokes to try to make the parents laugh, who weren't paying attention anyway. I don't care if this guy made balloons for Robin Williams movie 20 years ago. I just wanted someone to entertain kids for a first birthday party. Check out perry yan - he does balloons and some decent magic - and he KNOWS that customer service is important unlike pat in the shat. read more

I have used Balloon Creations in the past for my sisters 7th birthday party, and my little cousins birthday party and they were great! I had two different clowns come out for each party and they did an excellent job at entertaining all of the kids at the party. They had more than just balloon hats and pirates swords. Amazing!!!!! We hired Pat in the Hat for our company picnic this past weekend. We had about 60 children waiting in line for balloons. As soon as the adults saw them they got in line as well! This guy may be talented, but he's a real jerk. Gave me a quote for my one hour gig of $200 when I already knew it should have been a $150 based on quotes from many other professional, and highly-rated folks on Yelp. When I challenged him, he ran through his resume, suggested that the others charging less did crappy work and were amateurs, and then hung up on me. I was being polite, so I was shocked. I think that if you are a small business owner, you should work a little more on the customer service. All I did was point out to the guy that he was charging more than his competitors. read more
