Unfortunately, what was delivered was a lackluster performance that fell well short of that. Only a few kids showed interest and when kids started losing interest in the bubble activity, the performer made no effort to re-engage them. She stood in one spot the entire time and used barely 20% of the space that Fun Cloud Events themselves had marked out in a photo they sent us prior to the event. For a group that size, we expected a professional entertainer to read the room and adapt. That didn't happen. We'd caution others to ask detailed questions before booking and to clarify exactly what to expect, rather than relying on the promotional video shared during the sales process.

We decided on face painting, a glitter bar and time for entertainment. Gale was our assigned fairy; she reached out a few days before our event. The morning of, we found out very last minute that we had to change our venue due to rain and Gale was flexible and was right on pace - after a quick text to her, she showed up as the new location on time. She arrived in a very festive Encanto/Mirabel outfit; our location change ended up being to our home and garage. Gale led an entertaining puppet show (several other parents thought for a short while that her rabbit puppet was a real animal) - kids and parents enjoyed it! The kids loved her artistry with her glittery tattoos on their face and hands. Her balloon animals were also a huge hit. It was fantastic to have 1 person with so many great skills to keep kids happy. As my husband and I were running the party, we loved the fact that we were able to keep ~25 2 to 5 year olds entertained for the 3 hour party (2 hours during which Gale was there). It was the best decision to have hired her. Booking with the company was also very easy and organized; I highly recommend it and would do it again. It was a very hot day, and all the kids were originally seated facing the sun, before starting his show, he had the parents turn the children around so they wouldn't be staring into the sunlight. That spoke volumes about his experience. Boswick had so many tricks up his sleeve and kept the kids engaged and laughing throughout. The birthday girl (as is perfectly appropriate for her age!) wandered off midway through, but the older kids were totally captivated the entire time. When the balloon-making began, she came right back, a perfect ending to the performance. Even the adults were entertained! Boswick effortlessly switches between engaging 3-year-olds, 7-year-olds, and adults alike with his humor and charm. As a teacher, I really appreciated his ability to manage a crowd and keep everyone entertained. Other nearby parties had a jump house and a traveling petting zoo with a runaway turtle, but Boswick was by far the highlight of the park. Overall, we were impressed. He asks for volunteers from the audience, so the kids love this. His magic tricks keep the kids guessing and they're fun too. Although I have to admit some jokes are a little corny, but they are still fun and the kids keep on laughing. I thought it was a good overall performance. My kids were engaged the whole time and they laughed throughout the show. I don't know the cost or how far he travels, but I am considering him for one of our kids' events.
