We hired Pete G for our twins' 6th birthday party. Pete was great to work with from beginning to end. He is very responsive via email, and was always very positive and professional. He sent personalized videos before and after the party. The theme of the party was "Harry Potter", and Pete worked the theme into his communication with me prior to the show, the music at his show, and even in my twins' goody bags after the show. The show itself was also perfect for this age group (ages 3-7, average age 6). He used a lot of physical comedy in his tricks, which the kids ate up. My brother took magic lessons from Pete one day a week for 6 weeks. My brother and mother were so pleased! He was always on time, energetic and enthusiastic about his trade. Pete was the MAGICAL highlight of my son's 4th b-day party this past Saturday! All the kids loved his many tricks, as well as all the adult guests telling me afterward that they had enjoyed his performance. This was the first time my wife and I hired a professional entertainer and our first time to own a house big enough to throw a home party for our little boy, so we were a bit nervous about all the planning. Pete was great to work with. I booked Pete last minute for my Son's 1st birthday with no problem. He arrived on time, set up and started his show on time. There were about 160 people at my Son's 1st birthday, of which about 50-60 were children. My Son's 1st birthday was at a Rec Center, and Pete was able to host his magician show while the adults ate and children watched him. This was great! Pete G is a family-friendly magician with great "up-close" magic and a funny stage show. I have seen Pete G at the Annual Holy Family Parish Festival and he just did a benefit performance at Holy Family's EDGE Youth Group Lock-In (for middle schoolers) this past Friday. I recommend Pete G's stage show especially for an older than young kids crowd, not because there is anything inappropriate, but his quick wit might go over the younger kids' heads. I hired Pete for a double party, one part for my son and his friends, and then one part where he walked around with the adults and did tricks off stage. He was much better than I had expected, even though he came with a friend's recommendation. The kids were a little unruly but Pete was a gentleman and somehow continuously recaptured their attention, much to the gratitude of the adults. As for the adults, many of whom had long ago lost that wonder filled element of life, found themselves smiling in spite of their disbelief in magic. Pete is a natural entertainer (the guy's got a unique schtick, it was worth hiring him for that alone), he's very talented at his craft, and I have recommended him to several personal friends throwing parties for their kids, and to my sister who just wanted something different at her last house party.
