I would not recommend this doctor at all. She was not my doctor, but she filled in at the end of my…read morebirth because my doctor was on vacation. The last appt I had before my due date, I made it clear I did not want to be induced. I shared my previous experience with the pitocin and not liking it at all. She made an appt for one anyways. Before that appt, my water broke and I went into labor. Within hours of me being there, she had them give me pitocin and I said I didn't want to. They put me on it anyways. Anytime I told the nurses I would like her to come speak to me, she would not. She sent the nurses up until it was time for my birth. I had so many issues while giving birth and she just wasn't present. The nurses did it all and I'm so thankful for them. She is the worst doctor I've ever had, and I'm still very mad she would not listen. Because of this birth, I didn't want to have kids anymore bc it was the worst experience I could have imagined.

I love her sense of humor. She's super witty & has the best sense of dry humor. When I told her that I felt useless during my 2nd pregnancy, due to exhaustion & morning sickness, she said she was prescribing "Teddy Grahams & Netflix." I love this. She said, "of COURSE you're exhausted, you're making a human. But you're NOT useless." The delivery of my son was one of the very best experiences of my life, largely due to Dr. B. I wasn't afraid of labor & knew that I was in terrific hands. I drive over an hour to see her & it's totally worth it!

After my partner had to wait 3 months for an appointment, they called her the day before to let her…read moreknow what to expect for her procedure. I drove 7 hours round trip to take my partner to this appointment based on their confirmation of the procedure. In the exam room, the doctor told my partner he would not perform the procedure until the the results of her test are available. If that is the policy, fine, but it is outrageous their his front desk staff don't inform patients that that is the case and instead lead them to expect the procedure. He felt bad about this and promised her he would see her again within 10 days. When she got out to the desk to schedule, they told her that wasn't possible and that they can't schedule her for over 6 weeks. Overall, one of the most infuriating and frustrating experienced I have had with a doctor in some time, for easily avoidable reasons. We will not be visiting this office again and I'd encourage prospective patients to try their luck elsewhere.

(Disclaimer ~ I never had Dr. Teel as an ob. only a gyn.)…read more When I lost my health insurance several years ago, I had to switch to Dr. Teel's practice because he was the only one in the area who took my new insurance. Initially, I had a really good impression of him. His office was clean and professional looking, with really upscale furniture and pro-breastfeeding literature in his office. The first "red flag" was the number of advertisements in his clinic's restrooms for Plan B. I brushed it off though because most clinics advertise some form of birth control; Plan B must not be that different... The first few visits, he was really brusque. He didn't really take the time to listen to me, and he downplayed some of my concerns about medications he was advising me to take. Still, I stayed with him - partly because I doubted my intuition and partly because I had no other option. He ended up performing one of my many laparoscopies. Afterward he told me he found "no evidence of endometriosis, only scar tissue." Really strange considering *EVERY OTHER* doctor I've ever had has found numerous endo implants and endo-produced scar tissue. After the surgery, when I complained of still having pain, he wanted to prescribe me a medication that I can't take due to a history of seizures. He wouldn't listen at all to my objections nor would give me any other options despite the fact that there are plenty of other medications out there that can be used to treat endo pain. The last visit I had to his office, for a follow-up, he said that my pain was "all in my head," and when I suffered enormous pain during his rough, unprofessional pelvic exam, I screamed, and he laughed and kept doing what had hurt me until I was laying on the table crying. AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS. He puts up a good front, a shiny exterior of pro-woman pro-choice... but underneath he is a misogynist just itching to hurt women.
