He answered all my questions and diagnosed me with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) which is a newer name for RSDS. He recommended me to see a physician (Dr. Salim Hayek) that deals with Pain Management, Neuropathic Pain, Failed Back Surgery Syndrome, CRPS/RSD, Pelvic Pain. At least I have a name for it and get the right treatment. I only wish that I went to him originally as I could have been treating this from the get go. I would have gladly gone out of my way to see. Lesson learned: Never go to any physician out of convenience. Dr. Anderson is well worth going that extra mile.

During my first visit with King he asked me a lot of questions, did some quick mobility and strength tests, and laid out a plan of attack that first included an ultrasound. He speaks very clearly and I was on board with everything he said. I have since seem him for the ultrasound and a cortisone injection and the injection helped immensely in terms of reducing my pain and improving my mobility. Next up is an MRI to get a formal diagnosis. What I like is he gets to a diagnosis instead of treating symptoms. Dr. King isn't a doctor who readily prescribes oral medication so if you are looking for muscle relaxers or painkillers, he won't prescribe them.

First, they can't get me a fax number that actually works. Then when I finally have one and the order goes through, they let me know they will not authorize the service with my insurance because it didn't come from one of their physicians. They expect that a major hospital system will do their work for them to authorize service with their institution because, of course, they won't accept the notes and information from another provider (again major hospital system). Then when I raise the concern about not being told that from the beginning, they proceed to say they told me already with a condescending tone. Why would I waste a week of my time getting something that they know isn't possible to get. I guess the poor ratings here should have scared me off more than they did.
