ZERO STARS! I have been trying for a week to get my son's MRI order sent over from a major hospital system in the area to their location. First, they can't get me a fax number that actually works. Then when I finally have one and the order goes through, they let me know they will not authorize the service with my insurance because it didn't come from one of their physicians. They expect that a major hospital system will do their work for them to authorize service with their institution because, of course, they won't accept the notes and information from another provider (again major hospital system). Then when I raise the concern about not being told that from the beginning, they proceed to say they told me already with a condescending tone. Why would I waste a week of my time getting something that they know isn't possible to get. I guess the poor ratings here should have scared me off more than they did. read more

This is an amazing group. They can get you in and be available for scheduling if you have an orthopedic issue unlike some of the big players in town. They have a walk in clinic which has been very beneficial for new injuries. Additionally, the bedside manner and care is next level. I prefer the smaller feel I get at Orthopaedic Associates over a large hospital system. read more

Not sure why the bad reviews as this place and Dr Roberts gave me life changing results. Bottom line is Dr Roberts performed a spinal fusion on me and the results have been 100% successful. My quality of life has improved without question. No more pain or numbness down my right arm. The Dr and his team (especially Brittany) have been incredibly helpful and professional during my recovery. I have had to deal with the awful company Sedgwick with my short term while my time off work and Dr Roberts staff has really been helpful and sent repeated follow ups to ensure everything goes smoothly. Anyone who has ever had to deal with Sedgwick knows how awful they are but this office has been nothing but fantastic in working with me. The treatment and PT have been tremendous. This is the THIRD WARNING about Dr. Michael Lew at Orthopedic Associates in Westlake, Ohio. This is BLATENT NEGLEGENCE and hubris. DR. LEW MISSED A TORN TENDON IN MY CALF, A TORN MENISCUS IN MY KNEE, A NON-DISPLACED FRACTURE OF MY FEMUR AND A 4CM TEAR IN MY GLUTIAL MUSCLE. I had a fall and broke my ankle, injured my knee and hip in a twisting motion. Dr. Lew insisted on treating my ankle and getting me "up and moving" no matter how much I complained about my calf and knee pain. My ankle was healing well by x-ray but i was still having pain. I kept telling Dr. Lew that my calf hurt and that my knee was excruciatingly painful. He told me to stop using my walker. I explained to him over and over that I could not lift my foot with the boot on because of knee pain. He sent me to physical therapy for my ankle that caused such intense knee pain that it sent me to the ER. 4 months later he finally did an MRI. Not surprisingly, it showed a break in the femur and a tear in the meniscus. I was so upset when I went for my office visit, but I thought that now I would finally get some relief. Doctor told me that the radiologist read the report and what it said and then told me that he looked at the pictures and that he "didn't really see" what the radiologist reported and suggested that it was probably a shadow. Micheal Lew is a quack! Not even sure he was a doctor, probably just someone who walked in off the street, way to casual and unprofessional. The examination was so brief, if I had blinked, I would have missed it!! And, I've never had a doctor tell me I can't exercise, that is manure! Whether passive ROM or strengthening, there are exercises that should be recommended and other treatments available besides surgery. Don't waste your time, he is just there for the money and doesn't care about helping people. I gave one star because at least the other staff I interacted with at the Avon location were pleasant and professional and I appreciated that! read more

I had a nasty sprained ankle and was referred to Orthopedic Associations by the hospital I went to. They got me in quickly which was nice and the nurse was great but the doctor was less than helpful. The reason for this review however is because of my payments. I have been making monthly on-time payments since then (and during the pandemic). This past week I got a letter saying they had sent me to collections. I was very confused as I have been making full monthly payments on time. When I called the collections agency they said sometimes businesses do this when they want the full amount and no longer want to continue monthly payments. Orthopedic Associations did not reach out to me to let me know they were sending me to collections - they just did it! I will absolutely never return and I would advise others to seek help elsewhere unless you can pay the full amount up front. read more

If I could give Orthopedic Associates zero stars, I would. BEWARE OF DR. LEW. I saw Dr. Lew back in February for an injury that I had sustained to my foot. Dr. Lew made me wait 45 minutes to be seen and only saw me for 5 minutes. His assessment was that my ankle was "really messed up" (his words verbatim) and that I needed PT that was going to be "really hard." What Dr. Lew failed to notice in his 5 minute exam of my foot was that my anterior tibial tendon was completely lacerated and non-existent when I lifted my foot up. Due to the fact that he and his nurse (who was very rude) ignored me and sent me to PT instead of going to get an MRI, by the time I got to a competent orthopedic doctor (who noticed the tendon wasn't functioning properly immediately) the tendon was 4 cm apart. This meant that instead of just fixing the tendon, I had to have a donor tendon inserted. What I experienced as a patient of Dr. Lew was nothing short of complete incompetence and gross negligence, bordering on malpractice. I blame him and his nurse for the fact that I had to have a more invasive surgery than would have been necessary had Dr. Lew examined me properly and not sent me to PT, which worsened the injury. Had I not sought out a second opinion, I would still be walking on a lacerated tendon. I would warn anyone against using this office and I especially caution you against seeing Dr. Lew. read more

I was able to get an appointment quickly enough, but had a doctor walk in and out of the room in less than two minutes and did not answer any of the questions I had. And while it's great to have everything under one roof, I recommend that you price check braces (ankle, wrist, knee, etc) before buying it from them. I called Orthopedics Associates to get an appointment to see a hip specialist. I have stage 4 breast and lung cancer and my oncologist thought I should see a specialist to determine what is going on with my bones! I have had several biopsies and they have come back inconclusive. Some say that I have bone cancer and some say that I have AVN of the hip. I am in extreme pain and have been treating the pain with medications and blocks. I have seen these doctors before for knee and back problems and felt good with their treatment at the time. HOWEVER, after calling to see one of their specialist in the hip...IT WAS MORE IMPORTANT TO TRANSFER ME OVER TO BILLING TO SETTLE A 35.00 OUTSTANDING BILL BEFORE THEY WOULD SCHEDULE ME WITH ANYONE!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THESE PEOPLE AGAIN!! YES, YOU GOT IT...$35.00 FOLKS...CAN'T SEE THE DOCTOR UNTIL YOU PAY YOUR $35.00!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!
