He was personable and very caring. Unfortunately we moved from the area and I recently had my right hip done where we live now. It was a mediocre experience at best. Much more initial pain and I literally saw the doctor for 30 seconds on the day of surgery. If I have to have my knees done I will make the 2 hour drive to see Dr. Bechtel for sure!!

They set expectation when you make your appointment on the length so it's not a surprise. She really listens and looks at your full medical history when considering treatment or issues, when you are medically complex this is very reassuring and unfortunately, not the norm in today's medical environment. When I've had flashing lights in my vision her staff fit me in right away and when I was raveling and had an issue she got on the phone and looked at pictures I sent to determine if I needed emergency care. She is absolutely wonderful and I wish all doctors were as thorough and knowledge as Dr. Lavery.

Wound still red and oozes, plus pieces of bone have surfaced. Oral antibiotics didn't help. Admitting him into the hospital for a pic line needed. He is holding his own and his body is remarkably fighting this. He is on Hospice and never wants to go to a hospital again.

I did not bring up this topic and was mostly staying quiet to get him to stop talking. He was extremely condescending and rude when I responded to something he said. He obviously did not hold much empathy for any underrepresented groups, but regardless if his opinions would be agreed with or not, it was unprofessional for him to be talking about it while I had no choice but to listen. He was also so distracted with his rant that he worked on the wrong set of muscles! I felt unsafe and I am never returning here.
