I noticed that each of the other reviewers have given these people 5 stars so that may seem odd to readers, but I can say from my own personal experience with them, they deserve all 5 stars. They came to our building of 200 apartments and had a truck full of trees and a few laid out in our lobby. It was easy to pick "ours" because all of the trees were in great shape. I'm sure they'd have allowed us to look at more in their truck but I didn't need to. I picked one and, after a cup of wine, one of the guy's from Jeff's team brought it up to my apartment. They would have sold me a stand or lights or any other items I might have needed, but I didn't need them. Tree looked good once we stood it up; it looks great, now, with all the ornaments. Pros: convenience; helpful and friendly staff; Cons: Price. I've always walked to get a tree in the city and in the past 4 years, that's meant about a 1/2 mile walk. So, this was more convenient. Plus, we usually have our tree up by the first weekend of December but we didn't this year and I wasn't sure we'd be able to do it this past weekend. Does that make up for the higher price charged? Yes, and even more so if you'd have to walk or rent a Zipcar in order to get yours. That might be part of your holiday experience but I don't miss it. I'll use Jeff and his team next year. read more

My husband and I live in Dorchester and don't own a car. Last Xmas, we walked to a local tree seller, picked out a tree, and carried it home several blocks. This year, that seller was no longer in business. A quick Google search led me to the website for ChristmasTree4me.com. The whole process was so easy--ordered a balsam tree online, then scheduled a delivery time. Jeff and another colleague showed up on time on the scheduled day, brought the tree right up to our 2nd floor flat, and boom!--we had a tree in the house! They were so friendly and nice, and we're happy to be able to support a local business vs spending the money at Home Depot for a tree (really the only other place nearby us that sells trees.) Tree is up, lights are on, it's decorated--smells amazing and looks perfect! Instead, I just ordered online and the friendly owner (Jeff) was exceptionally cooperative in meeting my schedule for delivery and set up. Jeff carries top notch trees that are freshly cut - my tree was perfect and lasted beautifully the entire season. Jeff goes out of his way to make the Christmas tree buying process extremely easy. Although I did not need the tree stand or lights, he has them available with him when he delivers and sets up your tree. How convenient is that! I will definitely be using Christmas Tree For Me services again this year and have been recommending it to all my friends! The cost for all that you get is much less than I had previously been paying to pick out my own tree at Home Depot and lug it home, make a huge mess of my car, apartment, and building - and then have to set it up myself. The tree arrived super quickly and was super fresh and beautiful - and the man who delivered it was very helpful and friendly while setting up for me, the service removing the tree was great as well. We suddenly realized if we didn't get a tree Sunday December 2nd, we probably weren't going to get a tree at all. When I realized the schedule was booked through the 9th, I tried to cancel my order since we would be out of town. Instead, Jeff called me to see if he could do anything, & ended up throwing an extra tree in his truck to deliver to us that night! He brought it upstairs to our living room, screwed it into the stand singlehandedly, & then offered to water it for me since he was already down there. Jeff set up a pop-up shop in our apartment on Sunday afternoon. It was perfect! I just strolled downstairs, looked at the selection of trees (they had several types and sizes), picked the one I wanted, and had it delivered upstairs to my apartment! They also offer set-up and clean-up services, though I opted just to do this myself. They did have some other supplies (stands, lights, etc) as well as some wreathes. Great service and product! Jeff is responsive, friendly, professional, and tidy. He delivered a top quality tree to my door last year and cleaned up every needle on his way out. I bought lights, a stand, and needle loss preventative that he carries.
