Second year getting my Christmas tree here, and just like last year ... it was a fabulous experience!!! Love that's it a family business, love the friendly customer service, and love the quality of the tree. This year and last year, we go the tree on Black Friday. Last year ... it lasted forever!!! Probably would have last 2 months if we had kept it up that long. For the quality, price is definitely reasonable. Wonderful place to pick out your Christmas tree! Located right on Harvard Ave, it has a super convenient location. We ended up parking right out front and paying at the meter. They have hundreds of Christmas trees and about 30-40 on display. They had big ones and little ones, perfect for any household size. We looked around and ended up deciding on one they had wrapped up on the ground already. It was $50 for our 7-8ft tree and $30 for a tree stand. So convenient to have everything there, and not at exorbitant prices. They also help tie the tree to your car. Great service and our tree looks great so far! read more

Only amazing things to say about this place! We came here for the first time this year and had the BEST experience. There's a free lot right across the street - we actually didn't see this and parked on the street right near by. We walked in and there were multiple types of trees of many sizes, and someone helped us really quickly. They price by the foot, and I found the prices pretty reasonable overall. We actually didn't know it was cash only, and so were able to scrounge up cash that was unfortunately $4 short of the final price. The person helping us was AMAZING and said it was fine - they have an ATM but he was so nice and said the ATM fee would be similar anyway so he would let us have it a bit cheaper. THEN he carried the tree to our car (a bit father than the free lot) and helped us load it in! Overall couldn't have been more impressed and will absolutely be back next year. read more

This was the best experience around the city in a while. First of all we went to the parking lot and had a seamless time in there finding a spot. We crossed the street and immediately had multiple people asking to help us and not in a sales way in a very helpful way. Once we decided on a tree we let Danny know and he wrapped it up for us. It's cash only but they have an ATM on site. Danny followed us to our car and tied it securely to the top. $50 for a 5.5 foot tree isn't bad! Especially when the experience is this good! Great place to shop for your Christmas tree. They have a huge selection and a very knowledgeable staff. They explained all of the options for us, and once they got a sense on what we were looking for, they even unwrapped a new tree for us. It was perfect, of course. At first, I balked at the price (approx. $10/foot), but the service is so wonderful - they even carry it to the car and attach it for you. And of course, the quality is better than something you'd get at a Home Depot or Lowe's. And to top it all off, its a veteran-owned business. Once I heard that, I very happily departed with my $70. This was my first time since moving to Boston purchasing a real tree. The guys there are awesome and make it really easy to find a tree. The space is pretty small but fortunately we found the perfect tree right in the middle of the lot. It may have been a little harder to do if we had to have them open up a bunch of trees. The only reason I docked a star is because I'm used to being able to shave some off the bottom to make it a bit shorter (the volunteer just took off a small bit off to even the stump out), and we bought a stand there so that he would put it on but he wouldn't, so we had trouble with it back at home. They did do a great job of quickly strapping it onto my car though and it was really secure. Will def be back next year unless we find somewhere else that puts the base on for you. read more

No lie, I wish I could do more in thanks than writing a five star review. I had resigned myself to not having a tree this year [I've said this for the last five years and it has proved to be no great personal loss]. I live in the tiniest apartment with three rambunctious cats and I just shorted myself on my monthly T pass by spending too much on holiday gifts. The usual reasons, I guess. Yesterday my boyfriend [who has NEVER had a treeless Xmas] found out that his bosses have screwed him into staying in town on the 24th. It's his first time not being able to go home and it's obviously getting to him a bit. So today while he was at work I snuck down to Boston Christmas Trees with the last of my loose change and not enough to my bank account to even cover an ATM fee. I was hoping for, I don't know, a branch or something. Some chunk that had fallen off of a tree in transit. Barring that, I expected them to have a bit of a chuckle and then direct me towards the exit. Instead, I was helped by who I can only assume to be the Patron Saint of Good Will. I explained my situation and showed him my handful of spare change and asked if I could buy a broken branch off of him. And then he got a saw and disappeared and came back with the TINIEST MOST ADORABLE XMAS TREE. Not a branch, not a twig, not some needle-less reject. A real, honest tree. Or... Top of a tree, anyway. It stands maybe a foot tall. It is probably the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I can't express how much that meant to me. Genuine and whole hearted thanks to the kind gentlemen who work there. A real tiny tree! Xmas is saved! I'll be back next year for sure. Treelessness just won't be the same after this year. read more

What the heck christmas tree lot did these other reviewers go to? This is the place across the street from Model Hardware, I've gotten my tree there 3 years running because I'm too lazy to drive anywhere further, and always the tree is incredibly dried out. This year I went much earlier, thinking the tree wouldn't have time to dry out, but I was totally wrong, it was dry. Ugh. Convenient lot for us city dwellers nervous about driving an 8' tree home on the top of our car. The guys could not be nicer about making sure that we liked our tree; they took care to ask how we'd like it trimmed, and hauled it to our car across the street (free parking! small lot -- get there early) and tied it down to the roof without us having to lift a finger. In particular, our guy cheerfully waited for us to load our kids in their carseats and turn the heat on before he got to work and was great with our 2 y.o. -- gave him the end of the string "so you can hang on to the tree on the way home" -- what great service. $75 for a beautiful Fraser fir -- I think that's really reasonable. Cash only, but there is an ATM in the convenience store about a 2 min walk up the street (toward Brighton St). Minimal shedding even with our manhandling it into our house, and now the house smells like Christmas. Can't be beat, and we will definitely be back. read more

We didn't have to go through a lot of opening trees up and taking one out and putting it back as the trees that were out on display all looked healthy, in great shape and the prices were very reasonable. They carried the tree to our car and put it on and tied it down so there were no worries about the tree shifting around or getting damaged on the trip home.
