Told 1 week, then told another week, then told 3 more days. Terrible service. Don't know what they're doing. Don't risk it.

The Mic Mac Tailor Shop is pretty darn swell in my books. From offering that elusive Euro hem for…read morejeans that some local tailors just don't, to turning around complicated requests lickety split for a minimal extra charge, I always feel completely confident dropping off the goods here so that they can turn them into greats. While the price and services offered are pretty standard fare for the tailoring industry, I find the attention to detail and willingness to do what's best for your gear really impressive for a wee tailor shop in a mall. As recently as this week which has been a bit messy with unexpected family commitments, they were able to fully tailor a suit with a one-day turnaround so that I'd be ready to go in no time. Sure - it was an extra $20 for the express charge, but being able to have a brand new suit completely ready to go in a day was just one less thing for me to worry about. They've moved a couple of times which got a bit confusing but they seem to be permanent once more on the bottom floor of the Mic Mac Mall near the Winners entrance. Cash or debit only.

The man working was very professional and I was able to try on my pants in a little changing room so he could pin the correct length. The quality of the work done was great. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars out of 5 is that I was told my pants would be finished two days later by 11am (I said I could pick them up in two days before noon, or I could get them the following week as there was no rush). I arrived to pick them up at 11:35am while on my way to work, and I ended up having to wait 5 minutes while he finished one of my pants in front of me. It wasn't a big deal, but if I I had come at 11am when he said they would be done then I would have waited 40 minutes or I would have had to come back to get my pants on another day. I would recommend this tailor, but I would suggest giving them more time to finish your items, even if they sound confident that they will have it done in a couple of days.

First off: how weird is it that Yelp doesn't have a "tailors" category? Pretty weird, right?…read more Okay, so I've been to Metro Tailors a few times to get some odds and ends done. Usually just minor things. Most recently I got the zipper replaced on a winter jacket that has been sitting in my closet for years. Now, admittedly, I didn't ask how much it would cost but in my mind, I ball parked it to be about $20 (based on absolutely nothing other than how I much wanted to pay). It turned out to be $30 but, hey, I essentially got another jacket out of the deal. Still, I wish the price had been offered when I dropped it off in advance. The work is great, though. The turnaround time was also fairly quick. Their hours aren't posted which isn't very helpful. Still, if you need some work done, I'd recommend them. I'll probably go again.
