Open seven days a week from 9AM til 8PM Monday through Saturday and from 11AM to 4PM on Sundays. Issa is the manager here and a hell of guy! All the staff are personable as well as helpful. There's a nice lot as well as plenty of street parking. Somewhat have always preferred Mission Wine & Spirits to BevMo aka Beverages & More, Total Wine & More, or similar chains. Mission still feels like the neighborhood choice, with incredible prices, deals and service to match. Becoming somewhat of a cigar aficionado in the past year plus, with some guidance from my significant other. We stopped in together today and did some browsing as well as shopping. Him for Vodka to have at his place and me to have whiskey at mine. I spend a lot of time in Glendale and though they have two great locations, this one is my top choice hands down. There's just something a little more intimate and thoughtful here. Lots of beverage accessories, gift items and various things here you'll enjoy. Mixers, snacks, and various lottery things that make it nice to stop in and take in the magic of Mission. You can place orders online as well for pickup and/or delivery and they'll do their best to accommodate your needs, events, celebrations or leisure accumulation.

I mentioned this because we missed it on one of our attempts. Finally, on Sunday evening, my husband and I had a chance to visit Butcher and Booze. Very interesting store, with a delicious smell. There is a huge section of drinks where you can find very unique wines and alcoholic beverages. They also have a section of Japanese drinks, and in another corner, different kinds of unique seasonings, BBQ charcoal, and other BBQ supplies. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Next to the drinks section, there are several tables available indoors and two tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining to enjoy your meals. Their food menu is very interesting, and we tried the Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches (which they prepare completely in-house from A to Z). The sandwiches were super delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. One thing that surprised me was the amount of salt they used -- it was exactly the right amount, and we didn't get thirsty after eating them. These sandwiches are some of the best we've tried so far, and I highly recommend giving them a try. I noticed a huge samovar (large kettle) and another kettle in the corner of the open kitchen, and I asked about them. Argisht, who noticed my interest and who I believe is behind the kitchen and the delicious food success there, started a very warm and helpful conversation with us and surprised us by serving cups of tea. The tea tasted super soft and delicious. If you have ever tried Middle Eastern tea, you will love this tea. Luckily, they are selling it in the store, if I am not wrong it was Sri Lanka tea, which I have never seen in any store around Glendale or Burbank. Thank you for the great food, awesome store, and very positive and friendly service. With just one visit, Butcher and Booze will become one of your usual spots, so don't miss it!

We came here on Christmas Eve hoping to try their sandwiches but to also buy some meat as a white elephant gift. First off we were greeted warmly by the staff - not just the cashier but every staff member working behind the counter. On top of that, they gave us a shot of cognac for my husband and I to try. We decided to try buy some wagyu burger patties for the white elephant (we ended up winning these back during our white elephant - they were excellent!). The patties were juicy, rich, and so tasty! Can't wait to try other cuts! When we checked out, they offered us two small complimentary bottles of champagne and some produce from their refrigerated area. this was so kind of them to do so. This place is like your one stop shop - hot food, butcher, alcoholic drinks, liquor, and other cooking goods like seasonings, caviar, butter etc. Unfortunately they were not serving sandwhiches that day so we didn't get to try but we will definitely be coming back to try! I ordered and shipped two difficult to find bottles of Mezcal at a competitive price. These were gifts and I needed delivery before my flight. GL promptly shipped with confirmations and tracking via UPS. Sadly, I found out that the order was lost the day before I depart. Stressed, I called GL, told them the situation and they took care of everything from there. A few things to support their great customer service. They always have a human answering the phone. George helped me. He was apologetic, even though it was on UPS. He found my order info quickly and connected me with Andre. Andre knew my urgency and returned my call quickly with solutions. He offered to replace the order at cost! (A friend picked it up). After UPS confirmed their mistake, Andre refunded me my original order and submitted the UPS claim on my behalf. You let me know if this is not above and beyond.

After our tasting we shared an Italian wine recommended by Jeff who is the owner. We all really liked that. It was a Sandro Fay "Valgella" Valtellina Superiore 2021. I'd definitely buy that again. When I wanted to learn how to make an Espresso Martini and Pina Colada, I knew where to get the alcohol. My alcohol knowledge is limited and when I google best alcohols, 80% of the time, this place has it in stock. I can discover a new drink while purchasing old favorites. The staff are always friendly and welcoming! They remember their regulars. They go out of their way to search for brands and/or suggest new items that have come in. This is place a great and I highly recommend paying a visit!

However, I always felt that their level of rudeness in the store bordered on aggressive if not threatening. Sadly, this level of disrespect and contempt for their customer fits together, perfectly.
