I am a single woman, in a panic bc water was getting all over the floor! These were their prices: $3800 for a 50 gallon tank install and $6200 for an 80 gallon tank. But then they told me that I had to get the 80 gallon bc the wiring was not long enough for the 50. And I almost said yes bc I was desperate and didn't know any better. Yesterday I had a plumber install a 50 gallon hot water heater for $2100. There was no problem with the wiring. Adam Mechanical was just trying to take advantage of me and have me pay 3 times more than I should have! And so please be warned about what kind of company this is.

I'm honestly surprised by the low rating here, because that was not my experience at all…read more I had a horrible plumbing situation. I brought in two other companies to look at my issues and they made it sound like complete doom and gloom. 70 year old cast iron pipes don't bode well, but the quotes they gave me for PVC replacements were outlandish. Then the folks at Walsh Brothers came in, gave me a reasonable quote, and fixed pretty much all of my serious plumbing issues. The pipes even look good! All it took was for someone to get a little creative with the layout of my house and figure out an alternative solution, which they were able to do. Three months later and my plumbing is doing just fine. I'm super happy I chose Walsh Brothers because I feel I was treated with respect (i.e. not gouged for money) and my issues were fixed quickly and efficiently.

The visit lasted 30-plus minutes--not a bad profit margin for the company! But I was also concerned about my bathroom's sink and tub drains being very slow. The young worker told me that once he solved the clogged toilet issue the others would also be solved. I tried to urge him to look at the other problems, but he declined, saying that he was not familiar with my brand of fixture hardware; and, thus, he could not investigate. The brand is actually called "California Faucets" and I would think a plumber, worth his credentials, would be able to deal with just about any clogging issue. Apparently not. So, now I have to hire another plumber to get my sink and tub drains flowing freely. Lesson learned: Be skekptical of a plumbing company's advertising! Thus, the 2.8 current quality rating via Yelp. P.S. As an aside, I asked the plumber about his newish battery-operated device that extended as far as six feet into a toilet and effectively (after a few tries) blasted through the obstruction in the piping. He told me it was very expensive, costing around $400...enough to discourage a homeowner from purchasing one, but encouraging the homeowner to call a plumber. I looked into buying such and found out that it really sells for around $100, definitely worth the price to a homeowner.

This is a racket, they charge you 30 dollars a month to have the ability to be charged 31 dollars everytime the come to just check on issues and make recommendations. That leads me to my issue with them. We had them come out to check our kitchen sink, a toilet, and a leak in the water line of the refrigerator. They pulled out the refrigerator found the source of the leak said that they would turn off the valve to the water line to see if that stopped the leak. After again making some insanely expensive recommendations that we turned down they never checked if the leak had stopped nor made a recommendation about what to do with the valve. The leak got worse after they left and I called them a week later have them check what they did and it turned into being accused of tampering with the valve myself. After an hour of wrangling they made 2600 dollar recommendation just to fix the valve that they manipulated. I will never, EVER recommend them, poor service, constant runaround, and expensive products.
