I say all this to make the point that The Computer Doctor in Greenville is by far the best experience I've had. He took my Dell laptop that was booting up at a snail's pace and CONSTANTLY updating for some reason and, after one overnight's work, had it running so well it was unbelievable. I'm not sure what I had done to mess it up so badly, but he fixed it. It now boots up in less than 2 minutes (used to be it could take up to 30 min) and is running like a charm. I ran into an issue that was beyond my expertise so I called to get some assistance. spoke to 2 different Ryan's the first day and they promised me that the tech would call me back shortly. With buisness at a stand still, no call back! called the next morning and actually got someone named Chris on the phone. I explained what was going on and he told me the techs were not in for at least another hour, but he would mark it priority for them to call me back. 3 hours went by, buisness still greatly crippled by the issue with the computer, and no call. Frustrated, I called Best Buy. One 45 minute call and we were back up and running again at full capacity. If you have a problem with your pc, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS GROUP OF INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!! Oh, by the way, they NEVER CALLED BACK AT ALL!!! Forgotten about and neglected when my Buisness and livelihood were on the line! I…read morehave a touchscreen laptop which i use a stylus for in order to do my work with 3d modeling and design. After they replaced the screen the stylus no longer works and the quality of the new screen is not half as good. Not only this, but the camera is not aligned up properly so it looks like half the image is black, and also whenever i close my laptop the screen bulges out (but they told me "theres nothing we can do, and its purely cosmetic). When i got the call from Lewis (the "technician" who worked on my laptop) he tried to get me to replace the fans in my computer, even though it is two weeks old. BUT HERES THE BEST BEST, when i picked up the laptop, they had scretched the top case, dinged the side, and took a huge chip out of the back near the hinge!! The total repair cost me $279, which by the way i was originally told that the screen cost $150 and the rest was labour. When i asked about the pricing Lewis told me that the other $129 was a labour fee, but apparently his hourly charge is $55, and he told me it only took an hour to repair the screen. Not sure how that math adds up, but it seems like they are upcharging. Anyways, so after picking up my laptop the first time i immediatly called then about the damages and they told me to bring it back in. When i did, they tried telling me the damage was caused by myself (even though it was brand new and in perfect condition before i gave it to them- aside from the screen), they also assured my they would fix the bulging screen problem. After picking it up a second time they said they could not fix the screen bulging and that it was purley cosmetic. Then, i told then i wanted my okd cracked screen put back on and a full refund. After going back and forth about the poor work they did on my computer, we finally settled on a partial refund. I would keep their screen that they had installed and i would get a $100 partial refund. Very upset with the quality of work, they will upcharge you, and they do not take care of your device while in their possession. Just spend the extra money and have the manufacturer of your device fix it.

Then she tried to convince me that I'm better off just buying a new computer entirely (which she conveniently sold) despite me explaining that this is a brand new $2000+ high-end computer. When she realized I wasn't going for that she quoted me $300 which is just insane. I called around afterwards and every place in Greenville quoted me around $50 - $75. I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, either they genuinely don't know what they're doing and are computer illiterate / naive or they do in fact know what they're doing and they were intentionally trying to get over on me. I'm not sure which is worse. However, I left a similar review recently on Google and they immediately reported it for removal, which makes you wonder how many other low rated reviews of theirs we aren't seeing. I had noticed the manager responds to all of their Google reviews. Assuming it could have just been a new / bad employee, I was originally interested in seeing what the owner had to say but I didn't expect them to just hide my review. Them doubling down on all of this shows their true (sketchy) colors. All things considered this place is just way too shady to ever justify returning, do yourself a favor and call around.

He sat there and made a joke about Hiroshima because so many people were walking in and it was "like a bomb went off in there". I went in for a simple diagnostic because my iPad wouldn't turn on and I wasn't sure if it was the battery or the charging port. I specifically asked them to diagnose it and give me a call so I could decide if it was worth the repair or not since it's an old iPad. Instead, 4 days later I had to call twice and they hadn't even looked at it! 2 days later I called again and they told me they were just now opening it and they were replacing the battery and it would be $180. That was the whole point of me asking them to diagnose it first because the iPad isn't even worth that much and I wouldn't have bothered with it! They said they'd give me a call tomorrow when it's time to pick up. Well it's been 2 more days since then and I still haven't heard a single thing! Over a week with my iPad and not a single call from them. Had I known this I never would've bothered bringing it here. Absolutely horrible service and a total rip off because they're too stoned to listen to anything you're saying and then do whatever they want anyways. 0/10 will never be coming back here and very upset I even have to pay for this horrible service.
