Their knowledge of their stock and possible solutions for "this old house" problems is amazing. While my husband and I were fixing up our home literally from the foundation to the roof and everything in between, they were incredibly helpful - a good source of advice, solutions and parts. How I hated it when we had to resort to Home Depot when something sprung a leak at night or on a Sunday, and Barney's wasn't open! Advice and help at Home Depot? Good luck with that! Even looking around in the front of the store is fun. You never know what you'll find - cast iron pans, meat grinders, canning supplies, unusual seeds - and much more. If you have a hardware question or just want to see what a real hardware store looks like, go to Barney's!

Well organized, and spotlessly clean displays make the visit worth your while. Custom orders are easily accommodated, and filled quickly in the unlikely event you're looking for something boutique. Their entire counter is surrounded by plexiglass, hand sanitizers are out in plain sight for all to see/use. The staff masks up before coming out from behind the counter to keep folks at east. Nicely done! They've got the olde-world hardware store knowledge combined with good pricing and a work ethic that makes you happy you chose them. Box store employees are mindless gnomes that cannot hold a candle to the folks that work at Best. We've been using their services for a couple decades going back to their old location and they earn our business with every visit. Recommended!

The first thing you notice when you go in is how big this store is. It's like a supermarket for home supplies. Big and bright with a very friendly and helpful team of people. They recently did a complete renovation-expansion and were really able to bring in much more merchandise and keep plenty of open space. Their COVID protocols have also been excellent through the pandemic. I like a place that makes you feel safe. It's nice to come here and support a local business. They have a wonderful selection of merchandise here. Hardware, tools, electrical supplies and home (indoor and outdoor) cleaning supplies. They also have a great paint department. I was always very impressed with their BBQs and smokers. They also have many accessories and parts for the more popular brands like Weber and Green Egg. My last trip here was for picture hanging hooks and wall fasteners. I was hanging a large-heavy mirror and they had all the necessary supplies for me. I also needed some specialty cleaning supplies for concrete and they had these special items too. I highly recommend ACE and suggest you try it before venturing out to the big chain stores. Shopping locally is good for our communities.

This saved me the cost of going to the dealer, which would have been expensive, or to Ace Hardware which insisted on using their own blanks for a lot more money. Visiting The Home Depot in Hempstead NY on 10/17 turned out quite interesting. I drove into this…read morehuge parking lot and noticed that there are armed security patrolling the grounds. Walking inside, I experienced something that I have never experienced in the history of me shopping at any Home Depot. I was properly greeted. But that aint it. This female employee, I forgot her name, greeted me and waited for me to respond and then she asked, how may I help you. I told her and she escorted me to the section of choice. As she greeted me I noticed an unfamiliar object in her hands. We continued toward my section and all of a sudden the quiet stroll turned into a sales pitch about the object that she was holding. It was a tripod flashlight. I just had to inquire if she was on commission. I have never experienced such exceptional service from any home depot before. The associate stayed with me during the entire shopping experience, helped me find what I was looking for, and walked me to the self-checkout. The item only cost about $18. I thought that was a good value. Home Depot did have similar pieces at different price ranges. I took the object home but found it too long of a replacement piece so I returned on the next day and there was no hassle exchange or refund. I found this Home Depot to be properly stocked in the aisle that I visited, showing product availability, which is a very good sign. This Home Depot has a huge selection of plants as well as other items that you will find at any other Home Depot. I say that they have a display of those tripod flashlights, batteries and oh yeah, Christmas- This Home Depot has a massive collection of artificial Christmas Trees, ornaments, lights, and stand alone displays. I was so impressed with this experience, I have decided to come here whenever I need batteries or home improvement items or even something as simple as a rechargeable flashlight. I loved the customer service here! Inspire more, Yelp more!

I'm not sure what's the point of having a key section if you're just going to tell customers to go to the self service machine.
