Took my car here for an inspection last year and was passed without incident. Went again this year…read moreand was told that I needed $800 of work, primarily to replace the front passenger side ball joint along with a few other repairs. I had received a similar estimate from another location where I had taken my car for an oil change a few weeks earlier. I got the work done, and within days, the car began pulling hard to the right, so much so that I needed to drive with the wheel at a 45 degree angle to the left just to keep the car driving straight. In a matter of days, the tread on the tire where I had the ball joint replaced was completely gone where it felt like driving on glass. As it turns out, they didn't not provide an alignment after installing the new ball joint which caused the problem (that I was quoted on and told was necessary with a new ball joint by the second location in their estimate only 10 days earlier). I brought the car back to the shop with bill in hand that indicates their work is guaranteed for 90 days. Their mechanic looks at the car, renders it undrivable and tells me that it will be another $2000+ to repair the damage. I asked how this was possible since they literally just passed me for an inspection and inquired about the guarantee, but was told the damage is completely unrelated to the work that was done at the time of inspection and that I would have to pay full price. So I am supposed to believe that after $800 worth of repairs to the front passenger side tire/ball joint, that completely coincidentally I've incurred another two grand in damages that are entirely unrelated to what was allegedly "fixed" only days earlier which has left my car undrivable? What a bunch of con artists. I'm currently looking into taking them to small claims court. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be scammed.

I am writing this review because I am very disappointed with the salesperson I had, Thomas M. I've…read morebeen shopping for an F-150 speaking with a handful of dealerships, it what we all do. Hempstead Ford was one of the few dealerships on Long Island that had the exact car I wanted, so I reached out. Everything was great and cordial until we got to the details. The deal itself was take or leave it which is thought was odd and cold, especially since car salesman do not like when people leave the showroom. I was lied to about my trade-in, which really bothers me because I heard his managers talking about the trade-in as I was sitting in Thomas's Office. It added insult to injury. After leaving Hempstead Ford I went to another dealership, who had a similar car. The deal was much better than what Thomas had offered me. One caveat, that car was reserved, but the person who reserved is dragging their feet. So rather than waiting to see how this pans out, I went back to Thomas with numbers and got a "Sorry, going to pass". I was very surprised to not have received a counteroffer from Thomas, even if it didn't match what was offered from the other dealership. I don't know if the deal was ever presented to management at the dealership either. I am not sure if its Thomas or his manager, but I won't be going to Hempstead Ford again, and I wont recommend them to anyone who mentions them either.
