In this case no need for doubts, Chris deserves all of the 5 star reviews. He made the whole process as painless as possible and was super responsive when any questions or issues came up. It is rare to find amazing customer service, knowledge, and responsiveness. We found all that and more in Chris. From our first meeting he was able to answer all our questions and make sure we were moving in the right direction along the way. We were in a multiple offer situation and because of our shorter closing time our offer was accepted. If there is ever a need again we will definitely call up Chris and will recommend him to all. read more

As a first time home buyer, there are a lot of big decisions that need to be made. One of the best decisions I made was choosing Chris as my lender/advisor. He was referred to me by my close friend who I new would point me in the right direction. From the start, Chris was very detailed and made sure I understood everything and was comfortable with all of my choices. He was patient throughout the whole process and made sure I got the best rates and even closed several days early. Even through the holidays he was always responsive and made himself available. Chris should update his profile pic to add a cape, because he saved the day and saved me from entering into a bad loan on my first home. I initially reached out to Chris to get pre-approved and talk through the loan offerings available through US Bank. I also had similar discussions with another bank, a credit union, and a local lender recommended by my agent. During our initial discussions, Chris was super clear talking me through my options with US Bank and walking through the home loan process. Where I slipped up was when our first offer was accepted months later. In the flurry of activity to review disclosures, schedule inspections, and reviewing comps, it just seemed to be more convenient at the time to go with a lender recommended to me by my agent to get us to close in 14-days. After our offer was accepted, it was only when that lender's latest disclosure numbers didn't line up with our discussions and the closing cost estimates seemed to skyrocket. It was then that I called Chris back, less than 14-days out from closing, to see what other options I had. Chris was able to break down why my current loan was a 'bad loan' and he was able to clearly lay out how his original pre-approval estimate was 'better'. My current loan included points to get my rate down to a number that US Bank was beating anyways and also had closing costs that Chris was able to beat in general. After pulling a last-minute audible and going with Chris instead, he was able to get me closed in under our aggressive 14-day close window. The loan process can be confusing and overwhelming for first-time home buyers and having someone provide clear and consistent communication throughout your home buying journey and someone who has the patience to walk you through the loan disclosure numbers is super important. I highly recommend Chris for anyone looking for home financing services. read more

We had a great experience working with Chris. He explained the entire process to us clearly from the very beginning and was always amenable to answer our questions and worked hard to be able to meet our fast and shifting timelines. read more

TLDR; Chris and Shirley are the best at what they do and have made our first home purchase an extremely smooth and stress-FREE process. When my husband and I first started the home buying process, we had no idea what we were doing and just initiated conversations with multiple lenders to get a pre-approval for a house we liked. I soon realized that these other loan officers weren't well versed with the local housing market and I understood this to be a huge disadvantage, especially given how competitive the market is. This led me to search for individuals local to the bay and I randomly came across this dynamic duo through a referral. I am honestly SO so grateful for this referral because I knew we were in good hands from our very first conversation with Chris. Chris and Shirley are extremely informative and hardworking. Chris knew I was a first time home buyer and really took his time to explain everything and answer all my questions. These two were available all hours of the day, and worked tirelessly to make sure everything was in order for us to close on time. What really sets Chris apart from everyone else is just how personable he is. I really felt like he really cared about us and I knew he had our best interest in mind throughout the whole process. And on top of all of that, he helped us score the BEST interest rate for a loan our size. Having gone through this process, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have an amazing loan officer like Chris to guide you through this process. Look no further and give him a call! read more

Oh man! Chris is the best. I have gone through financing / re-financing processes multiple times over the years, and Chris is the best I have worked with. The speed, thoroughness and smoothness of the loan process, starting with pre-approval to loan funding was excellent. We called Chris over the weekend that we unexpectedly found our dream home, but don't have any paperwork ready and would like to put a bid on Monday. In a matter of hours on Monday, Chris put everything in motion, we got our pre-approval, and Chris even talked over the phone with the seller to assure them of financial support so they would accept our offer. Post accept, underwriting and loan funding process was as efficient as it can be. Chris is very courteous and prompt in his communications, and we can see that he really cares for his clients. I will definitely work with Chris again, and would whole-heartedly recommend him to my family and friends. Thanks Chris!!! read more

Chris was fantastic. We faced a need for a quick close to be competitive on the house, complicated by a vacation disrupting the normal timeline. But Chris stepped up big time, assuring the seller agent we could come through, and making sure we could sign before leaving on vacation, setting us up for non-stress travel. He was in constant contact through the process, available by text, email, or phone. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Chris and would highly recommend him. Thank you Chris... you were a vital part in securing our 1st home together! read more

Chris is the best and made my home purchase happen. I worked with another lender who was generally unresponsive and did not communicate important details like their insistence on a two-week loan contingency. Chris was able to get me pre-approved in time to make an offer. He talked with the listing agent to put in a good word and I ended up getting the house. He has a wealth of knowledge and explained everything in detail to make sure I understood every step of the process. Chris has my highest recommendation! read more

My husband worked with Chris to refinance our mortgage and the experience was great! We'd highlight recommend - thanks, Chris!

This review is long overdue! Chris is AMAZING. He is patient, kind, understanding, knowledgeable, SMART, and genuine! I am extremely lucky to have been introduced to him. Chris helped me get into my first home 4 years ago. I was a first time homebuyer with not a lot of cash. He was able to get my loan processed and educated me on the different types of loans. He PATIENTLY answered my 101 questions. It was very nerve wrecking to buy a townhome here in the South Bay for so much money. Nonetheless, Chris helped make the process super smooth and calmed my nerves. 2 years later, Chris helped me refinance my townhome! I initially had two loans. I wanted to get rid of my HELOC and thought it was time to refinance with the new lower rates. Unfortunately, I could not qualify at the time because of HOA issues. Chris did not give up though! He continued to work diligently and helped lower our HELOC (Prime interest) and moved as much money into my 1st mortgage. At that time, Prime was over 5%. Incredibly grateful for all of his patience again. He was very understanding of the situation and did not let his or my efforts go to waste. 4 years later (now), I am in the process of selling my townhome and buying a single family home. Anyone who has done this simultaneously knows how stressful it can be. When I first decided that it was time to make this move, I called Chris for advice. I wanted to know what I needed to do. What steps to take... Chris took the time to explain to me what the transaction process would look like and what I needed to do next. Once I was ready to get preapproved, he sent me a link to upload my documents and fill out the application. The preapproval process took less than 2 days! UNBELIEVABLE. Everyone is super busy as interest rates are low during COVID-19 and trying to buy/refi. Chris made the preapproval process super easy! Once I found a house and my home went on the market, Chris was able to lock me in at a great rate. He has worked diligently with moving my paperwork along the way to make sure I can close escrow on time. I am a single mom of 2. Buying a single family home here in the South Bay is a BIG DEAL. Chris understands my situation and never made me feel like I was trying to make the impossible happen. He took time to call me and talk things through to make sure I understood everything. I appreciate his efforts and cannot recommend him enough. GO WITH CHRIS KAMALI! read more

Chris and his team (Shirley and Kristin) deserve a top rating as they earned it. I reached out to them in the middle of my escrow process as my primary loan funding company ran into issues with the underwriter. I was very stressed and confused on what will happen next - will I not be able to buy the house? will I lose my EMD? Shirley worked over the weekend on my documentation. Chris reviewed the documentation coming Monday and gave me confidence on Monday afternoon that my loan could get approved. From then to today, Kristin got my loan across the goal line. This team deserves respect because they are not just people pushers. They review the information, are open and honest and coach you correctly through the loan process. God bless the 3 of you. I and my family are indebted. I whole heartedly recommend this team for anyone's financing needs read more

We were first time buyers and had an excellent experience with Chris, Shirley and Kristin at PNC. We interviewed a few different lenders and felt most comfortable with Chris by far. He is responsive and easy to work with. He is also fun and upbeat, which is refreshing when you're going through the stress of buying your first home in a seller's market. At the end of the day, Chris was not only our banker, but his connections helped us finally land our home! In a super competitive market, he had our back and assured the selling agent that our loan was solid, which made a world of difference. Thanks Chris and team!! read more

We know Chris Kamali through our friends (2 families) who purchased their first home with his Great help. So it was easy to make the decision to use him as our Mortgage Advisor when the time came to buy our first house. We are SO happy and delightful we went with Chris as he is the Greatest. He patiently explained all the options to us when we were first looking, so we knew roughly how much we could borrow. When we saw a place we wanted to make an offer on, Chris managed everything to make it smooth for our Realtor. He took his time when going through all the documents and the loan and rates he had got for us, and allowed us to ask endless questions - many of which I'm sure were ridiculous! Bottom line - If you are looking for the BEST literately means you have to work with Chris Kamali; he got us the best rate at that time, everything went SMOOTH and within the TIME FRAME HE PROMISED. If you use Chris & his team, you will Never be sorry. I can't say enough good things about him - HE IS THE BEST :D ... HE MADE OUR FAMILY HAPPY WITH OUR DREAM HOUSE.. read more

If you are looking for the best in the business I highly recommend Chris and his team. Being a young and first time home buyer in the San Francisco Bay Area can be daunting to say the least but Chris was always so reassuring and confident that he could find a solution that works for me. My journey started back in July when I contacted Chris just wanting to know how feasible it was to obtain a mortgage with my situation. I knew the bare minimum about mortgages and needed a lot of guidance with how this whole process worked. Chris had no problem explaining everything to me, creating easy to follow printouts that I was able to visualize exactly what we were talking about. Chris was able to get me pre-approved and my loan underwritten before I actually found the house, and I can't say enough how much stress this took of my shoulders, as opposed to the opposite situation in which I would fall in love with a house and "walk on egg shells" until I find out if I am pre-approved or not (not to mention this also gave confidence to the seller that I was able to secure a loan). Chris also set me up with an amazing realtor and after only 4/5 months of house hunting, I can officially say we are homeowners! We found a house first week of November...put in a offer... got accepted... and Chris and his team were able to work their magic closing in just 21 days! Fast forward to now, the end of November we are walking into our new home, just in time for the holidays. There is not enough stars on here for Chris and his team. 5 stars does not do them justice. Honestly if you want the best of the best and someone to work in the best interest of you, Chris is your guy! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home. read more
