Yet, one can have an independent company do the work on request if one knows to ask/inform insurance of preference. Despite the lure of 'convenience' offered by the nationwide company, DC Automotive Glass replacement at the dealership is my go-to choice. Here's why: Office manager Renee is top-notch working with insurance companies and providing timely customer updates. She advocates for OEM replacement coverage with claims management when appropriate (e.g. newer/leases). The customer is the focus (not the profit margin or claim close speed rate of the administrative third party) and parts and labor prices are reasonable/competitive. Vehicles with advanced safety features require calibration which is most reliably performed by the dealership. Audis can be particularly tricky. Jeremy & Joshua work collaboratively with my dealer for post-replacement calibration and they with my service advisor collectively don't send me on the road with a suboptimal calibration comprising safety and requiring the time drain of a return visit for error code re-work. I've used them 3-4 times and will do so again when needed. They do good work.

Unfortunately my drivers window was busted. That scared the living daylight out of me, sounded just like a gun shot. I would have been mad, but he wasn't throwing it towards the road. It was just a freak accident. Anyway I couldn't remember the company's nor Jeremy's name. I had to do a lot of research to locate the company. I am going to have to go all weekend with no window because I see they don't work on the weekends. That is how much Jeremy impressed me. With his attitude, professionalism and workmanship. I would not use anyone else.

This was supposed to be a simple tint job on our beach car, but it turned into one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had--especially since moving to the area. From the moment I dropped off the vehicle, Chris (the tech) was visibly on edge: drenched in sweat, talking a mile a minute, and already rude. When an issue came up with the rear window, instead of communicating clearly or explaining, he immediately became defensive and started backtracking. When we returned to pick up the car, things escalated badly. Chris completely lost it. He threw window tint film at us, repeatedly approached us aggressively, screamed obscenities, and yelled things like "I used to be a Marine--you don't know who you're f***ing with" directly at my wife. He kept closing the distance on her despite multiple people telling him to back off, and only retreated inside after being confronted repeatedly. Even as we were driving away, he was still yelling from the doorway. I contacted Mike (the owner) immediately. Instead of addressing the assaultive and threatening behavior, releasing any security footage, he brushed it off as a "misunderstanding" about the tint job and made excuses for Chris. Zero accountability, zero professionalism, and a genuinely unsafe environment. I will never return and strongly advise anyone--especially anyone bringing family--to avoid this place entirely. 0/10

When A-1 Auto Glass first installed my windshield, the molding around it was damaged during the install. The installer told me it was "dry rotted" and even went so far as to tell me where I could buy a replacement and how much it would cost. When I pushed back, the owner confirmed what the installer said but eventually agreed they would replace the molding. Around that same time, I began noticing significant wind noise while driving. When a different tech came back out to address the wind noise and put in the new molding, he immediately noticed the windshield itself hadn't been installed properly. He told me, "We'll get you a new glass." But when the next appointment came, I didn't get new glass at all. Instead, they just repositioned the old windshield and installed the molding. That work left me with paint chips right at the edge of the windshield--damage I know was not there before. I take good care of my car, and I even have photos from after the first installation that show those spots were not there. When I pointed out the damage in person, the tech flat-out denied it, saying, "That was already there, you can see the rust." Later, when I texted him, he admitted they had removed the windshield using string, but when I asked what they used to remove the urethane, he never replied. I also reached out to the owner twice and received no response at all. At the end of the day, I'm left with damage that didn't exist before their work and no accountability from the company. My car was not in this condition when I brought it in, and I'm now left holding the bag to fix their mistakes. I cannot recommend A-1 Auto glass.
