My Toyota Camry was in need of some darker tint with summer coming up and my own desire to have more privacy in my car. I went to Sun Stoppers in South End on a Tuesday hoping to walk-in, and get my tint. They told me they were busy and I could schedule an appointment for tomorrow, Wednesday. Once I returned, the staff assisted with explaining tint percentages and measuring how much tint my car currently had. I opted for 15% all around and 45% on my windshield. The total was almost $600 for all the tint included. While it's definitely an investment, I've been very happy with the quality and the look of the tint on my vehicle now. read more

The tinting I had done two years ago out in California no longer passes the North Carolina annual state inspection, as I learned by having two different places test. So I am now in desperate need of having new tinting done. I created a "project" on Yelp and Sun Stoppers Southend replied almost instantly. They asked a couple of clarifying questions and provided a quote. We made an appointment for a few days later. I arrived on time (actually, a little early) and they got to work immediately. Old tint removed and new tint added while I sat in their waiting room. Speedy and professional. Afterwards, I headed back to the inspection place. Pass! I like that I have a nationwide warranty and the work is excellent. No bubbles or odd visibility issues. Just slightly darker windows and it passed inspection. Sun Stoppers did a great job, called over Saturday morning and they explained I could come in as a walk up and that it would just take a little longer than usual. Dropped my car off around 12 and by 3 they called me back saying it was ready for pick up. The price was lower than other places quoted me and I love how my car turned out. read more

I needed the tint removed from my front windows due to some silly regulations. I wasn't sure where to go or how much it was going to cost, but was very glad I found this place. Super friendly and affordable they got me in and out in under 15 minutes and were super reasonable for the removal! Highly highly recommend. read more

I got my back windshield tinted here the other day. The work was amazing, fast and staff were great! Will be back again.

Did some research and found out that Sun Stoppers is locally owned and has been around for a long time. Things like that mean a lot to me. Dealt with Ken via Yelp messages and Austin over the phone - both super nice guys. I was able to get a really quick turn-around in setting up an appointment, and they did a great job at getting the tint installed quickly but with quality workmanship. My car looks so dope! (Crap - I forgot to take a pic. I'll post one later if I can edit my review.) Austin and the other fellow there, that I'll call "South Carolina" (sorry that I forgot your name, my man!), took detailed and careful time with me to explain the differences of the tint and how they'll look and behave. The install comes with a great warranty, so I feel great about the service and install. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews in total for this place. So, here's my 5-star rating! read more

The tint I got was amazing and good prices . Fast and reliable and the staff is super polite.

I asked for a quote and by the time they got back to me I had already tinted my car at another tint shop. They proceeded to text me twice and email me twice. I already get enough spam! *Not a review of their actual tint work. read more

I had a great experience with Sun Stoppers at the Southend location. Jeremy and Ross were extremely helpful in my decision making process and I think we got a great result in the end. Receiving a quote and scheduling were easy and the process itself went quite fast. Would recommend! read more

Went in here the other day for your standard tint job. After having tint on my last car, I dont think i will ever drive another car without it. It is nice to drive with the privacy of people not being able to see every little thing you do. I chose this group because after doing some research on the tint they use, you learn that it is really high quality stuff. The staff was super friendly, accomadating, and knowlagable. They answered every question I had and the tint came out looking beautiful. You have a choice between 3 different lvls of tint. I opted for lvl 2 which provides an 80ish% reduction in the heat that comes through from the sun, as well as the standard privacy perks that come with all tint. Overall i am very pleased with the experience i had and would reccomend checking these guys out. read more

Came in last minute when my inspection showed I needed a different percentage tint than what my car was sold with. The man at sun stoppers welcomed me in warmly and quickly removed the tint in time for me to get back to finish my inspection at short short notice and just 30 minutes before closing. I so appreciate them taking the time to help me in a pinch! read more

My car had tinted windows done out-of-state and as a result wouldn't pass NC state inspection. I called Sun Stoppers Southend for an appointment to get the tint removed and they took me the very next day! I dropped my car off with Jeremy and walked around for about an hour, then got the call that the car was done! It looks great and the price was fine. Jeremy was very helpful - he even gave me a re-tinting option that is still within NC standards if I ever want to add any back (always good to know options). I am a happy customer and recommend Sun Stoppers Southend! read more

I called a day before bringing my car in because I needed my tint removed and re-done to pass my inspection. I brought it in at 9am and they squeezed me in and had my car ready to go by 2pm! Fast, efficient, great customer service, & my windows look awesome!! The Groupon was definitely worth it.

Sun Stoppers Southend did an amazing job on my sedan; I couldn't be happier. I scheduled an appointment in advance, the tint process took approximately an hour (pretty quick considering what is needed) and during that time I was able to kick back in the customer lounge and get some work done. Quality work and great customer service, highly recommend! read more

I absolutely recommend this place. I was sick of having issues getting my out of state tint job to pass NC inspection so I thought it was time to swap it out for something legal yet stylish. This place is really close to my house and had good reviews so I stopped in one day. The shop associates seemed like good guys that were happy to walk you through your options but didn't fee the need to pressure sell you on anything. I decided to have my tint removed and go with one of the medium grade tint options. The job was done well and fast. I even waited 8 months to post this review to make sure the tint "held". This is a good shop that you can feel confident in. It's clean, professional, and they're not trying to rip you off. From a pricing standpoint, I may have been able to save like 100 bucks if I shopped around but I would go back here for my tint needs bc they are pros and the prices are very reasonable. read more

First off, Kyle was AWESOME! He was professional and courteous. He explained how long he has been in the business and a clear difference between the Suntek choices. The new Suntek CIR (CeramicIR) film was the highest quality. I would like to add that the shop is very open and inviting where you can watch your car as well. When I noticed something odd with one glass, he quickly fixed it and followed up with a phone call to confirm satisfaction. You can't beat that! read more
