The tinting I had done two years ago out in California no longer passes the North Carolina annual state inspection, as I learned by having two different places test. So I am now in desperate need of having new tinting done. I created a "project" on Yelp and Sun Stoppers Southend replied almost instantly. They asked a couple of clarifying questions and provided a quote. We made an appointment for a few days later. I arrived on time (actually, a little early) and they got to work immediately. Old tint removed and new tint added while I sat in their waiting room. Speedy and professional. Afterwards, I headed back to the inspection place. Pass! Did some research and found out that Sun Stoppers is locally owned and has been around for a long time. Things like that mean a lot to me. Dealt with Ken via Yelp messages and Austin over the phone - both super nice guys. I was able to get a really quick turn-around in setting up an appointment, and they did a great job at getting the tint installed quickly but with quality workmanship. My car looks so dope! (Crap - I forgot to take a pic. I'll post one later if I can edit my review.) Austin and the other fellow there, that I'll call "South Carolina" (sorry that I forgot your name, my man!), took detailed and careful time with me to explain the differences of the tint and how they'll look and behave. Went in here the other day for your standard tint job. After having tint on my last car, I dont think i will ever drive another car without it. It is nice to drive with the privacy of people not being able to see every little thing you do. I chose this group because after doing some research on the tint they use, you learn that it is really high quality stuff. The staff was super friendly, accomadating, and knowlagable. They answered every question I had and the tint came out looking beautiful. You have a choice between 3 different lvls of tint. I opted for lvl 2 which provides an 80ish% reduction in the heat that comes through from the sun, as well as the standard privacy perks that come with all tint. Overall i am very pleased with the experience i had and would reccomend checking these guys out. read more

I absolutely recommend this place. I was sick of having issues getting my out of state tint job to pass NC inspection so I thought it was time to swap it out for something legal yet stylish. This place is really close to my house and had good reviews so I stopped in one day. The shop associates seemed like good guys that were happy to walk you through your options but didn't fee the need to pressure sell you on anything. I decided to have my tint removed and go with one of the medium grade tint options. The job was done well and fast. I even waited 8 months to post this review to make sure the tint "held". This is a good shop that you can feel confident in. It's clean, professional, and they're not trying to rip you off. From a pricing standpoint, I may have been able to save like 100 bucks if I shopped around but I would go back here for my tint needs bc they are pros and the prices are very reasonable. read more

First off, Kyle was AWESOME! He was professional and courteous. He explained how long he has been in the business and a clear difference between the Suntek choices. The new Suntek CIR (CeramicIR) film was the highest quality. I would like to add that the shop is very open and inviting where you can watch your car as well.
