Unfortunately I've had problems with one of the secretaries. I just called to cancel an appointment since the pain that I had had resolved. However, the secretary kept on trying to keep me from cancelling the appointment time after time. Eventually, fed up, I told her to cancel the appointment. I rarely write reviews and try to not leave negative reviews but I'm making an exception in this case.

The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.

During one of the most painful times of my life, he supported me in a way I'll always be grateful for. The NET session helped me release emotional stress that felt deeply stuck in my nervous system, and I genuinely felt lighter and more balanced afterward...something that isn't easy during grief. He also introduced me to LightStim therapy, which was a whole body red light that was incredibly relaxing and helped with inflammation, muscle soreness, and shoulder tension, leaving my body feeling calmer and more supported in recovery. Also really appreciate how intentional he is about what he offers...from clean, high-quality supplements to foot bath detox machines backed by real testing that showed measurable reductions in heavy metals. That level of care builds real trust. He's helped my mom as well, and everyone we've referred to him loves him. Dr. Jerry Lee is an amazing soul with a truly caring heart, and I can't recommend him enough.

These breakthroughs have come from every angle. Physically (down another 20 lbs on my weight loss journey), mentally (more clear and sharp than before, emotionally (been able to move past blocks I've been attached to for years), and spiritually ( I'm more intuitive than I have ever been) . Also shout out to Victoria, I just had the pleasure of receiving my first massage from her. She did a combo of lymphatic and muscle work during our session and I was invigorated afterwards! She went above and beyond with tips on how to help with excess skin physically and emotionally in session and post session (80lbs down, it's going to happen). She is truly a healer with her hands and her heart!

For weeks, asked for more exercises. Every time, no, said I needed to come back. I went to another provider, they correctly diagnosed my issue: anterior pelvic tilt. Something on EPT checklist/assessment form, that they completely missed. And, new provider gave me a complete exercise program (10-12 exercises). I don't think EPT was able to deliver for performance, and they were not flexible with my time/needs. Although I'm sure they are fine for most, for me, most importantly, they missed a seemingly obvious assessment/diagnosis.

I struggle with intermittent pain which is challenging to communicate to a doctor when it's not actively flared up, but Aimee is empathetic and kind and really listened and believed me when I was describing my pain while not actively in pain. She gave me homework and things were going well, but my real 10/10 experience came when a flare up coincided with my appointment date. I arrived in tears because my neck and hips hurt so badly. Through massage and stretching and being gentle with me, I left the appointment feeling significantly better than when I came in and was able to go about my day without crying in pain. She has since taught me some great exercises for when I'm in an active flare up to reduce pain and we're working on building strength. I notice a big difference in my workouts from small adjustments she's given me. Also, the whole staff is warm and helpful. I know having to pay out of pocket can be a challenge and I was certainly skeptical to not get insurance coverage for PT, but I just can't recommend Elevated enough.

Cheri came highly recommended and it was clear from our first session that she really takes the time to figure out and understand what my body was doing and why I was experience the pain that I was feeling. She took the time to evaluate how my whole body was moving and identified several body mechanic and movement issues that were contributing to the problem. We started off with basic exercises that set the stage for more complex ones as I progressed. HealthFit has systems in place to make sure that when you're at home doing your exercises, you have video references with detailed explanations on how to do each exercise properly. After each week, little by little, things started to change. And then there came that moment when everything clicked and started to change! I've noticed a huge improvement not only in pain reduction, but also in my overall stability, balance, and strength. Cheri has given me the tools to break my body's bad habits. I highly recommend working with Cheri to anyone dealing with chronic pain, movement issues, or sports-related injuries. This is my go to place whenever I need physical therapy. The personalized service and extended one-on-one time are absolutely worth it if you care about your joints, muscles, and long-term recovery. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the wonderful front office staff, Feliza and Britt. They make you feel right at home, and I always enjoy chatting with them and hearing what's going on in their young lives. And now for my knowledgeable, kind PT, Dr. Daphne Tan. She has treated me for several injuries, including my shoulder, elbow, and lower back. She has also treated me post-surgically, and I always leave our sessions feeling better than when I came in. She is motivating, attentive, and really takes the time to correct my form during exercises so I'm doing everything properly. I am not sharing my time with 2 other patients. I'm very glad I found HealthFit. It is well worth it compared to a larger corporate/hospital based PT clinic where your therapist may spend more time documenting than actually monitoring your movement and progress. HealthFit provides the kind of personalized care that makes a real difference.

To quote a prior reviewer "Why is every Orthopedic office is Pasadena so poorly run? This is the…read moresecond one I've gone to and experienced a poorly run office." It's amazing how poorly run these Pasadena ortho specialists are, almost like they've been trained by experts how to create a process that is as inefficient and ineffective as possible while simultaneously insulting and disrespecting their customers. In this regard, it is an impressive place. Of course, we all know the reason: they make more money by over scheduling -- just like airlines. We all have wishful, aspirational beliefs that doctors' offices are "different" than car dealerships. They aren't: it is always about the money. So, from the general to the specific. This place is typically a nightmare in terms of timing. You really do need to schedule about 3 hours for an appointment. There is limited parking in the building, so expect to park in the adjacent lot (no validation, because that would eat into profits). Once there, you check in. Generally speaking, the staff are about as welcoming and kind as your typical Subway (sorry Subway workers, but you know it's true). You are a widget in their process. Give them your info and wait. A long, long time. Usually about 1 hour. And that's just to get past the front area. Next, they whisk you to an x-ray. Doesn't matter if you need one. Doesn't matter if you want one. Doesn't matter if you already have one. Again, it's about the money. So you get one. And before you do, you wait -- though usually only about 15 minutes here. Then you are put in a room. Yay! You'll see a doctor. Eventually. Sometimes, this room wait is 30 minutes, sometimes an hour. I've actually started to walk out and leave at this point. Finally, you see a doctor. I've seen a few here. I thought Dr. Bradley Johnson was good. He was unhurried. He explained things. He did what he could for me. Dr. Mark Jo is a different story. Same start: he seemed good, seemed unhurried, seemed to explain things. Problem is, he got it all wrong. First, he looked at the aforementioned x-ray and said your knee looks great. No problems structurally. You absolutely can run on it. But let's get an MRI to be sure. You can run in the interim. NOTE: he never touched my leg. He did not do the thing you see all doctors do on live football or basketball games to test the structural integrity of the knee. Ok, no problem, I'll run and get an MRI. I go back a few weeks later with the MRI in hand (and my knee where knees are). After the above-described wait, I get to the doctor portion of the adventure. Dr. Jo says that my MRI shows a moderately sprained ACL -- I should absolutely NOT be running on it, and he's surprised anyone would tell me I should (NOTE: that was him who did the telling). He also says that he's surprised he didn't pick it up on his first examination, you know, when he did the ACL test on my knee. I reminded him he never touched my knee at the first appointment. Oh well. So, great, I now have been running on a sprained ACL, making it worse. But at this point, I'm not really trusting Dr. Jo's opinion. I get copies of the MRI AND the MRI report. I read the report (as a non-MD, it turns out I am nonetheless able to read). Dr. Jo merely quoted the report to me. He didn't actually look at the MRI. Great. So I'm out. I go to another ortho place. This doctor (Dr. Rishi Garg) actually examines my knee with his hands. He also looks at the MRI. Both tests, he says, make it clear that my ACL is totally fine -- actually really good for my age (I later confirm this with an independent radiologist). Dr. Jo was just wrong. All across the board. Ok, so what's the lesson here? Huntington Ortho is a YUGE time suck. They are run like a for-profit business --- because they are one. Don't expect any old-school approach to doctoring here. And, if you get the wrong doctor (e.g., Dr. Jo), your care may be pretty bad.
