We ordered take out from Chow's for the first time last week. I was thoroughly impressed. They delivered a bit of a distance and the food was hot and fresh. Let just say my experience here was THE WORST I have ever had at a restaurant. Half way through my meal I felt extremely sick (nausea) and had to excuse myself from the table before I threw up. Thankfully their bathrooms were decent. Once arriving back to my table my partner had already begun to feel as sick as me. Worst buffet I have ever been to and I've been to well over a hundred. My girlfriend is literally throwing up in the bathroom as I write this, we both got food poisoning. From "hot" entrees that ranged from luke warm to cold, to mislabeled and fake foods throughout. Lobster balls were pork, coconut shrimp was chicken, clams casino was flavored bread. Steamed clams we're cold, avocado had brown spotting, fries were soggy, lettuce was past, the place was a disorganized and disgusting mess. Chow's just got a face-lift and boy what an improvement! They've added a bunch more tables, the decor is more stylized, and they've expanded the buffet. Went on a week night and the food was good, lots of seafood choices, well prepared, etc. My only complaint is that it was a little pricier than some of the other buffets around. read more

Most of the time its me and a couple of my buddies that like to stop in every once and awhile and have lunch and its usually good. However it does depend on what time you show up and how busy it is. If you show up when its busy your going to have a good experience, food gets turned over quickly and is always fresh. They make a good chicken and broccoli as well as coconut shrimp, general to's and chicken teriyaki. I have tried a lot of different items on the buffet and its all pretty good, but those items are my "go to's".They have a nice sized dessert buffet which is usually filled with cheap store bought goodies. its not the best but does offer ice cream and some decent selections. This visit however, it was very slow, which means the food was not as fresh and there wasn't a lot of selections. It also pushed back the wait time for items to be refreshed when needed. The place can get pretty loud at times and kind of congested. Still I think this is one of the best local buffets to visit and depending on the time you visit and can be very good.They also have a sushi buffet that I've never tried but have heard its pretty awesome. read more

A half decent spot if your craving some americanized chinese food. I did the buffet since that is the main attraction here. Everything ranged from passable to good. This is one of those places you come when you are starving and want to eat a lot of food, rather than a straight up good meal. If your into this type of food, you'll probably love it as the price is reasonable and it's an unlimited amount of food. For me though; everything was far too subpar for my liking, and it was obvious that many of the dishes I had (general tsos, noodles, wontons) were not very fresh. One other quick note, as soon as we were done eating, the waitress very obviously wanted us to leave. The place was pretty empty and it was mid day, so no excuse for that. I've made a number of recent visits to this place after years of absence as I live relatively far away from it and used to occasionally make stops here while attending IT classes nearby. I have come to find the offerings, despite not being the most elaborate nor extensive are very good and tasty and there is sufficient variety. Also, the staff here is always attentive, courteous, and welcoming. And the fact that they are open relatively late is a bonus. read more

Chow's Garden was the first restaurant my daughter and I tried when we moved to Millville. We were driving back and fourth from Pa with boxes the night we decided to eat here. We were beat tired! The owners welcomed us in and sat us. We chose the buffet. We weren't hungry but tired and omg! Everything we tried was delicious!!! I'm addicted to their wonton soup! I swear every time I'm not feeling well, I pick up some wonton soup and feel better!!! Chow's is the only one with the real dried noodles...all other places have the thin, hard, stale and tasteless dried noodles which I hate. My daughter and I were just there and love what they did with the place! They added more stations, more seafood, more tables... more everything! The owners and staff are awesome. Years ago a colleague of mine mentioned I would enjoy dining here. I first brought my mother, who was visiting. It was a weekend and I was floored by the crab legs that were provided without ordering. While one can order off the menu, most everyone who dines here goes for the buffet. The buffet is a few dollars more on the weekend evenings for the previously-mentioned crab legs. The buffet is not large, but it is the only Chinese buffet in the area. The food is usually good. There are a few soups provided. The wonton soup is good and the wontons are huge. There are a variety of appetizers. Chicken and shrimp in various batters, pork, and sweets too. There are a dozen or so entrees to choose from. Chow's usually keeps the dishes full and fresh. The exception we have noticed is mid-week more recently. The pepper steak is good as is General Tso's. The fried rice is good. There is also white sticky rice in a cooker on the dessert bar. Dessert is not great. There are many choices, but they taste bland. The exception is the soft-served ice cream machine, which is a hit. We do order take-out from here on occasion. Service is very good and the portions plentiful. And like all good Chinese restaurants, when I order cold noodles with sesame sauce, which isn't on the menu, they always come through. There are not many Chinese restaurants in the area. Of them, Chow's Garden is the best. read more

This place has been around for ages. Consistently good, and considering what you get for you money; a bargain. You can't go wrong with the buffet. Had dinner here today with a girlfriend. She comes for lunch all the time. We ordered water with our buffet meals and went back for 2nds and 3rds. I didn't eat any dessert but plenty of people in the place had ice cream and fruit. This was the worst meal of my life. I stopped in for takeout after I had my nails done. The carpets are dirty and as I stood looking at the "buffet" some areas smelled like urine. As I looked around I saw teriyaki chicken on a stick. It was red. I am not sure I've even seen red teriyaki sauce. I also got white rice and some general tso's chicken and two pieces of avacado sushi. The rest of the food just looked gross. After I paid $10 I take it back to my office. I am not sure what was on that stick, but it definitely wasn't chicken! I spit it out. Same for the general tso's. Not chicken. The sushi was fishy tasting and there was no fish in it. Ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and the shrimp fried rice for delivery as well as the cream cheese crabmeat wonton. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the average Chinese restaurant meal. The garlic sauce was good, but nothing to brag about, the shrimp fried rice didn't have to seem to have too much flavor to it, but on the bright side the shrimp wasn't overcooked.
