    Spicy ramen with chicken
    Alia S.

My boyfriend lives in Lompoc part time and we are exploring new food places... he's been here before but this was my first time. Fantastic! Both of us love Asian food. Especially spicy! We shared spicy garlic edamame, spicy kimchi fried rice and calamari.... Both had miso soup, he had the spicy chicken bowl and I had spicy chicken Ramen. No, I wasn't kidding about the spicy part! Lol. Yes, we ordered enough food for five people. No, we did not finish it all! Yes, we did have a second serving at midnight while watching movies! The food here is fantastic. Service was great. They close a little early, at 8:30 on a Friday.... But I think everywhere in Lompoc does. There was only one other table with people eating when we got there at almost 8. It did seem like they were doing a lot of business on to go orders. But if you have not been here, I highly suggest you go try it. They have a large enough menu with options for everyone. Very cute inside. Our waitress was very helpful and so sweet. We met the owner briefly who was equally pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Excellent Asian Food & Good Service!!! Will Definitely GO Thare Again !! THE Food is Excellent!!!

Medium spicy ramen with chicken and veggies.

The ramen here is really good, I'm sick so I decided to get some medium spicy ramen with chicken to go. It never disappoints. Staff is always friendly and the establishment is nice and clean.

This place is extremely under-appreciated and slept on. Their spicy ramen is soul food and brightens my mood anytime I have it. The spicy ramen has a strong kick to it and the flavors are Amazing. Their fried rice is great too but not pictured. The two appetizers I got are in the photos and they were delicious as well. I've been coming here for years and I'll be sad to leave this place behind when I leave. The front workers are the sweetest and she always remembers your order if you're a repeat customer. This place is a 20/5 for me and if I could give more stars I would. Truly the gem of Lompoc.

Food is so fresh, service was great , amazing healthy choice with lots of flavor! Both my kids loved their bowls and praised how YUMMY it was!

It's a cute place lots of seating! The service was okay, I could tell they were busy with takeout orders and were understaffed so the food took a while to come out. Nevertheless the food was worth the wait! We got the jalapeño poppers, poke bowl, and the spicy chicken ramen it was all super yummy!

    Vegetable Croquettes!! INCREDIBLE!!

VEGAN EATERS HERE.....Lompoc has a peculiar relationship with restaurants. While there have been some unique spots including Eye on I and the former Scratch Kitchen, it is a town that seems poised on the edge of discovering people who love there actually LOVE good food. In the meantime, it does offer a few rather noteworthy establishments that just serve great food, with consistently high quality at reasonable prices where I know we always leave, thinking of our next visit and wishing was just a little closer to us. Chow-Ya is on top of this list. It never disappoints, ever and you always leave with leftovers and have paid the surprisingly reasonable cheque. Did I mention how incredibly FRESH everything is??? It is singularly unpretentious, spotless, convenient and the combination of Asian foods (Japanese/Korean/Chinese) is not muddled and ultimately super satisfying. Kind, thoughtful staff, the cooks in the kitchen always wave goodbye. Popped in the other day at the end of lunch service (2:00pm) and rather than sending us packing or worse, looking for someplace else, staff just smiled and warmly invited us in, we were soon followed by several other stragglers who were just as happy as we were. Today it was their epic Crispy Tofu Teriyaki Bowl and Vegetable Udon Bowl, both shared and still took leftovers for another full meal and the Vegetable Croquets which we'd never tried before and were worth the whole meal!! NOT TO BE MISSED. Photos as proof! If you live in Lompoc, you are very lucky.

We have been coming here for several years now. The service and food remain on point. The serving sizes are generous and the flavors are to be desired!

Delicious! I had the garlic butter seared shrimp bowl . The asparagus and other veges were perfectly cooked , and the sauce had an amazing unique flavor . I'm very sad that it's not closer to me !! Restaurant was clean and service was impeccable .

Lompoc is a hard place to find quality food. And most of the inside of the restaurants here look like people have temporarily moved in. There's some breakout places that have outstanding food.... But we've had some weird service. It's rarely both in one place. We will be back too have sushi here often. I also come from a background in the restaurant/bar/management industry. It's really refreshing to be served by people who are genuine and you can tell sincerely like being in the food industry. Trying to find pictures from the last time we there so I can edit this post.... But in the meantime, didn't wanna miss the opportunity to Push people to go try this if you haven't. PS we were in there fairly late on a rainy Saturday night. I imagine they had more business earlier but when we were there, it was getting close to closing time not a lot of people and we still had top-tier service.... And beautifully presented and prepared food.

I ordered the Jajangmyeon noodle dish at the register and took a seat. It came with a dish of yellow radish. The Jajangmyeon had julienned cucumber on top. The sauce for this dish is supposed to be thick. Unfortunately, I was served a version that was very thin and oily. The sauce had tiny pieces of diced overcooked pork and a just a small pieces of zucchini. Other than that the rest was slices of blackened onions. The cost was also expensive at $15.95 before tax. This was the most I have ever paid for this dish and the quality was inferior and there wasn't enough veggies in the sauce. Between the pork and zucchini, I estimate it was less than a 1/4 cup. So essentially the dish was mainly noodles in with a sauce filled with onions.

It was a little dry, but they gave the sauce on side so that helped. I'm used to more tangy and sweet teriyaki sauce their sauce didn't really seem like teriyaki based; more savory and sour if anything. The beef was good! Super tender. Sauce came on the side - didn't really remind me of a teriyaki sauce it's more tangy and soy sauce tasting or I guess like a watery A1. Tried all meats without the sauce chicken was cooked well, not dry at all. The beef had a weird after taste. Short rib was good, nothing was overcooked. Wish the meat was topped over cabbage like other Hawaiian spots instead of a lettuce salad ( which of course I didn't eat) Mac salad had a good mayo to macaroni ratio but didn't taste like anything it was extremely bland. Musubi - wish the spam was a bit thicker but the rice ratio was good, rice was cooked to perfection. Spam wasn't cooked in sauce nor was there sauce in-between the rice and spam.
