Delicious with large portions. Be sure to get there early. Its worth standing in line for!

Chow Thai is located in Charleston, WV it's a small location but well worth the stop. Once entering you are kinda in a lobby where someone will take your order and then seat you in a smaller room next to it. There isn't a lot of tables I think 6 one larger one in the center. If you don't get there before a rush you will have to wait for your food in front of the door and register best hold 4 people max. My biggest fault is the lack of space as they have great options and some Asian food to buy at the entrance too but once people are there you can't really see you buy. Decor wasn't something grand it was really walls, windows, table, food. That's all you really need, but I just wish there was more space. 2 out of 5 Service: The lady that took our orders and brought us our food was so kind answered any questions we had and offered great ideas for our kids. There was free water and food was brought to us. 5 out of 5 Food: This is where things get a little out of hand please note I cannot spell so best of luck! I got the Pad Thi with little spicy - it has quite a bit of nuts on it adding a beautiful crunch, bright bean sprouts, and just the right mix of spice. 5 out of 5 Tum um Soup I think - had nice flavor and is what was expected as all tum um soups. 4 out of 5 Ramen with sauce - kids enjoyed and ate what they could best way to explain dried ramen with flavor packed added after cooking. 3 out of 5 Pad won seen - (I am very sure I spelled that wrong or got it mixed up) I personally wish I got this over the pad thi; nice sauce sweet but salty. Fresh broccoli and shrimp. 5 out of 5 I didn't ask if they had a bathroom and I didn't see signs so I don't think it was an option to rate. Over all 3.7 out of 5! Going to round up to 4! read more

Was craving Thai food really badly the other day and found this gem of a restaurant hidden in Charleston! The location was a little confusing to get to at first, but the food is so worth it. I had the green curry with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The lady taking the orders was super sweet. The seating area is small, but cute and perfect for a little date night or lunch out. 10/10 recommend! read more

While visiting, my coworker and I were craving Thai so after a quick little search on Yelp, we landed on this spot. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try. We both ordered the pad thai, panang curry and some spring rolls. Everything was delicious. I ordered some spicy and it lit my mouth up. So they are serious about their spice. I still loved it. The service was friendly and helpful. They have a small dining room but it needs a little asthetic help to make it someplace I would want to eat. We decided to just take it out. read more

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and went to chow thai for lunch. My wife had the shrimp tom yum soup with kai jiou egg omelette over white rice. I had the chicken tom yum soup medium spice and pad see yew medium spice. Everything was amazing!!! Best Thai flavor I have ever had, very good and authentic. The server was very good, prompt, and considerate. The inside is small and simple which is fine for me. We would come back here in a heart beat it was so good! read more

The best friendly people and freshly made food is right here! So convenient and delicious.

We have great Thai options in Northern VA, so I was skeptical, but after reading the reviews and some saying it's the best Thai they've ever had, I had to try it. I got the Su Ko thai noodle soup, and it was delicious. It tasted authentic to me, and if I was in Charleston longer, I would've tried their other dishes. Definitely a thai restaurant worth visiting... read more

Best shrimp spring rolls I've ever had. Best Asian cuisine in Charleston! The Chang Mai curry was spicy and sweet my husband who's vegan enjoyed it thoroughly. The pad Thai was good but a little sweeter than I'm used to which is not the way I like it personally but still very good. The dumplings were good as well. Thai iced tea was solid and I'd definitely come back to try the rice dishes. I think I'd like that more than the noodles. But hands down better than any of the other Asian cuisine places I've tried in WV. read more

Any time we are in the area we have to call in an order. All their ingredients are nice & fresh. Pad Thai is our favorite.

Vegetarian drunken noodles with the ramen noodles is my favorite. The basil leaf adds to the flavor and deliciousness. This restaurant is a unique treat, and a great place to eat. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch. They warned us that their food is HOT. I ordered my Pad Thai medium hot, and it was only slightly hotter than I'd prefer. If I ate at Chow Thai again, I'd probably get no hot. My mom got the bowl w/ no hot. It was perfect. My sister got the bowl w/ medium hot, and it wasn't as good. Service was friendly and fast. Order at the counter, then sit down in the small, no frills dining area. read more

We wait for more than 50 minutes for our dinner so I believe it's not prepared food. Lots of beef in every dish. Pad Thai is more sweet than the other shops I have visited. I like the green curry the best since it's the most Thai-style. read more

I was visiting Charleston. This place was about 5 minutes from the hotel. I tried to order take-out lunch the first day but their phone line was busy for a good 30 minutes. I waited and gave it a second try the next day. I placed my order around 1:30PM and the food was ready upon my arrival about 15 minutes later. Upon arriving, the cashier greeted me. She was very friendly. The shrimp spring rolls were crispy and super tasty! The pad see ew was among some of the best I've had. The noodles were cooked perfectly and not soggy or too wet like most places. The Thai iced tea was ok. Overall, it's a pretty solid Thai restaurant for Charleston, WV! Will definitely return. read more

I travel a lot for work, and Thai food is my go-to cuisine in any big city. Chow Thai in Charleston is by far my favorite Thai food (yes, including Morgantown). It kicks big-city Thai food in the teeth. Portions are large and you'll spent $20 on lunch sometimes, but get the orange Thai iced tea anyway, with it without the boba. "Medium" spicy is still pretty spicy. I recommend a Massaman curry with chicken, which is basically a curry-based potatoes soup with heavy broth. Absolute flavor-town. I recommend putting your order in before you go, as demand for this food is high and the location is small, with not a lot of seating. read more

This is a Thai owned restaurant. Lots of Asians were there when I was there. I think this is a good sign. I ordered the soup. You can get it with level 1 to 4 heat. They say it's "Thai hot." I ordered a 2. Another person in our party got the same thing with no heat. The no heat was better. The soup was very flavorful without the heat. The heat actually over powered it. The restrooms are clean. Service was attentive and friendly. It's not rave worthy, but it's very good. read more
