Chow Thai is located in Charleston, WV it's a small location but well worth the stop. Once entering you are kinda in a lobby where someone will take your order and then seat you in a smaller room next to it. There isn't a lot of tables I think 6 one larger one in the center. If you don't get there before a rush you will have to wait for your food in front of the door and register best hold 4 people max. My biggest fault is the lack of space as they have great options and some Asian food to buy at the entrance too but once people are there you can't really see you buy. Decor wasn't something grand it was really walls, windows, table, food. That's all you really need, but I just wish there was more space. 2 out of 5 Service: The lady that took our orders and brought us our food was so kind answered any questions we had and offered great ideas for our kids. There was free water and food was brought to us. 5 out of 5 Food: This is where things get a little out of hand please note I cannot spell so best of luck! I got the Pad Thi with little spicy - it has quite a bit of nuts on it adding a beautiful crunch, bright bean sprouts, and just the right mix of spice. 5 out of 5 Tum um Soup I think - had nice flavor and is what was expected as all tum um soups. 4 out of 5 Ramen with sauce - kids enjoyed and ate what they could best way to explain dried ramen with flavor packed added after cooking. 3 out of 5 Pad won seen - (I am very sure I spelled that wrong or got it mixed up) I personally wish I got this over the pad thi; nice sauce sweet but salty. Was craving Thai food really badly the other day and found this gem of a restaurant hidden in Charleston! The location was a little confusing to get to at first, but the food is so worth it. I was visiting Charleston. This place was about 5 minutes from the hotel. I tried to order take-out lunch the first day but their phone line was busy for a good 30 minutes. I waited and gave it a second try the next day. I placed my order around 1:30PM and the food was ready upon my arrival about 15 minutes later. Upon arriving, the cashier greeted me. She was very friendly. The shrimp spring rolls were crispy and super tasty! The pad see ew was among some of the best I've had. It kicks big-city Thai food in the teeth. Portions are large and you'll spent $20 on lunch sometimes, but get the orange Thai iced tea anyway, with it without the boba. "Medium" spicy is still pretty spicy. I recommend a Massaman curry with chicken, which is basically a curry-based potatoes soup with heavy broth. Absolute flavor-town.
