This one exceeded my expectations and lived up to the hype. Choripaneria was amazing. We sat at the bar, ordered two. The traditional was my favorite, primarily due to the chorizo and chimnichuri. The bread was OK unremarkable.

When in Argentina, you have to try a choripán, the beloved sausage sandwich that's practically a national treasure. The name is a clever blend of chorizo (sausage) and pan (bread), and it's as straightforward as it is delicious: grilled sausage on crusty bread, usually topped with chimichurri and other flavorful accompaniments depending on the version. What makes choripán special to Argentina isn't just the ingredients -- it's the ritual. It's a staple at fútbol matches, street corners, and weekend asados. It's fast, satisfying, and deeply woven into the culture. La Chorripanería is a cozy little choripán place tucked into the San Telmo Market. It can get busy, so be patient - it's worth the wait. I ordered the classic choripán and a local beer, and both were excellent. I've had something called a "choripán" once in the U.S., which turned out to be an Italian sausage on a French roll, so I wasn't sure what to expect here, but this was the real deal, and it blew me away. The grill is wood-fired, which adds a beautiful depth of flavor to the sausage. It's a great spot to sip a cold beer, savor an authentic choripán, and watch the masters at the grill doing their thing. The energy is casual but full of life, just like San Telmo itself. Don't miss this place.

This spot is located in San Telmo Market. It was super busy, so we got a sandwich to go. We chose the Patagónico, which had lamb sausage, arugula, sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms. It was surprisingly good. The lamb sausage had a good flavor. It was a little on the salty side, but still enjoyable

Cool vibe. Very nice wait staff. They offered to keep our waters in the fridge while we ate so it doesn't get warm. We came for the sausage. The sausage was great. Omg, the picsna sauce on it was amazing

    Forgot which chori but delicious

Cool little pop-up located near the middle of the market. Came here early while they were still prepping and they look to have the best set up so we decided to eat here. Now this place seems to fill up very quickly. We came an hour before they open and they already had two people sitting down, waiting to be served. We walked around the market, came back to find most of the seats filled up and luckily there was one left for me . This was 20 minutes before they opened and the line got worse after that so forewarn to get here early especially on the weekend. Food Food was amazing. This elevated style of a Choripan was absolutely delicious. I ordered the gaucho, but they had ran out of cheese, and I forgot what version of the Chori they recommended. Either way it was delicious. Well cooked and all the flavors worked in harmony. Their sauces were also very good, chimichurri on point as well as the other sauce. Unfortunately, they didn't have any hot sauce there. All of Argentina will be lacking in hot sauce as I later found out. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling here. The people are friendly enough, they will serve you beer before the shop opens. And be prepared to be amazed. They are quite filling though, so I wouldn't recommend spreading it with somebody if not go to town on one enjoy.

The market was packed and we were lucky to snag two seats. We ordered two pints of imperial beer and they were ice cold and refreshing. My hubby ordered the Diablo sandwich and I ordered the Español. Accidentally they brought out a classic first which my hubby started eating and said it was great but not spicy. They realized their mistake and brought out his correct order with mine. They did not take away the wrong one so he got the best of both. The sausage is delicious and the portion is a good size. I ate the whole thing and I would do it again. Service was very friendly.

The slowest place I've ever been. They took 40 minutes to make a regular choripan and I was waiting for a take away order.
