Present and accommodating staff, especially with our dynamic production schedule. Good variety of food menus. They were communicative with our production team on what they needed: two 8-foot tables and an EZ-up tent with walls attached to block the wind from cooling the burners. We'd recommend listing "includes dairy" as an allergy warning moving forward, since we had a couple minor instances with our crew's needs. 2 out of the 3 days, the staff helped us box lunches and leftovers to-go, which was incredibly helpful and appreciated. On the last day, they provided boxes, but our crew had to box it up. Overall, Saltwater Catering was easy to work with, and we'd use them again if we film in the area.

They listen carefully, adapt to your needs, and bring your ideas to life. You come to them with a clear vision or just a loose theme and they will work with you to make it special. I've hosted events both at home and at outside venues, and Saltwater has even helped me find a venue when my first choice wasn't available. Their professionalism and dedication are unmatched. At one party, when our ovens suddenly stopped working, the chef and his assistant literally ran back and forth to a neighbor's house to make sure our guests never noticed a thing -- talk about above and beyond! I've trusted them for long-planned events like weddings and for last-minute gatherings like a celebration of life, and they've handled every situation flawlessly. Lou and Nancy are true pros who care deeply about their clients and the quality of their work. I can't say enough good things about Saltwater Catering -- they make every event feel special. His menu selections were top notch, and my husband and I were thrilled with the outcome. We did 3 appetizers before the 4 course meal began. We did the elote (street corn) appetizer, tuna tartare, and lamb chop. Of note, I don't eat lamb at all, but Eric's Lamb chop was AN AMAZING FLAVOR BOMB! I appreciated that him and his server showed up prepared with all of their supplies (and small plates for serving). For dinner, we had the heirloom tomato and burrata salad, followed by the char grilled octopus, then the Australian Wagyu steak with creme brûlée to finish. The menu was superb, Eric presented his gorgeous plates with detail and attention, and (of course) they cleaned up everything after! This was a PHENOMENAL experience, and we are already looking to book Eric again for my husband's birthday! Eric, you are an artist and amazing chef! Just a couple items I would nitpick as the father it was one of the few items I had some input on. Had a fantastic 10 course tasting and would love to do it again. Everything at the tasting was top notch. We paired down our entrees to the following: Braised short ribs A+ Glazed salmon A Butternut ravioli A Chicken Marsala C Ceasar salad B+ ( based on micro portion. Bread and butter B+ Hors d' oeuvres overall A Korean Meatballs A Roasted grape & goat cheese bruschetta A+ Filet roulade on toast A- Poke on chip A Overall service A I recall asking for the lemon garlic potatoes with all dishes and got roasted potatoes which were fine but a grade of maybe B- where the potatoes chosen I remembered as an A. Tipped all the servers but don't understand the 22% service charge on the overall bill. We were charged separately for linens, glassware, stemware and for all the various servers, chef, captain etc so figure that undefined service charge or 22% would be for that. Would use them over again if we did it over. Jayme was wonderful and helpful to deal with and their food was better than the other caterers we sampled. I wanted to have food that people would remember and got tons of unsolicited feedback from many of the guest stating the salmon was excellent and that the short ribs were the best they've ever had. That says alot when you're serving over 130 people.
