After leaving the store happy with the sizing and wearing the watch around about everyday for a week one of the pins in the band fell out making the watch unwearable. When I went to call the store to see what they could do for me the associate gave me the email of their customer service department. After sending an email with a picture of the watch and receipt the company made a very poor effort to try and resolve the issue. While understanding that using my American credit card might be difficult to get a refund the person responding to me informed me they don't do any refunds for this and made the offer for me to bring it in next time I'm in town. No offer for credit at the store, sending the watch in to get fixed nothing. So now my $700 watch (I've only worn for about a week) sits on my dresser waiting to be fixed because I'd rather not spend another $50 to get it fixed again. I would have at least appreciated some sort of problem solving for breaking my watch.

The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have concerning the 4Cs (cut, colour, carat and clarity) and will work with you to design the style of your choice (a friend of mine recently commissioned them to create his fiancée's engagement ring). Quite frankly, I think trashing other stores is unprofessional. I don't recall the girl name other than she has a cell phone case that says "Mr. Right". I am not sure if all the service at Montecristo is like this. In the past - a few years ago, I got pearl earrings there and the service was excellent. As such, I can't gave this a 1 star rating, but the recent experience was quite uncomfortable so I am giving it two stars. In the end, my friend went back to Cartier.
