Mantu is stuffed with a wonderful ground beef filling, a little pocket of deliciousness, a tiny spicy heat to it, and a moist sauce that rounds out the flavor, and is finished with a generous sprinkle of sumac. It's a delicious light dumpling!! My favorite dish that I keep ordering over and over is the Showra. This is a super flavorful broth in which a lamb shank sits along with a potato. It sounds so simple, and it is, but I think it's absolutely wonderful. I've never seen a naan prepared the way they do their version. Pull off pieces and dip that into the broth so that it gets all soggy and delicious :-). They serve it with a small side of onion and lemon, and I squeeze the lemon juice into it and dump the onion into the hot broth. I like to finish the meal with the light Firni milk pudding sprinkled with chopped pistachios. While eating here, you could run next-door to the market if you need some Halal meat. I saw an interesting dish called Chapli Kabab with Bukhari Pulao for $13.99. The meat was very well seasoned and it had lots of crushed peppers. I had to slow down to spit out pepper seeds. The rice was very flavorful. The meal came with a small plate of fresh hummus. I know I should have naan to go with it but I was overloaded with carbs from the rice. I was reading about the difference of Pulao and Biryani. "Pulao is made by sautéing the ingredients (rice and meat or vegetables) together, then adding pre-determined quantity of water." And, "Biryani is where the rice and meat or vegetable is first partially cooked separately then layered and cooked on slow flame with other ingredients." I'm not an expert on this region's dishes. That's why I am here at the restaurant. Since I didn't have a strong stomach for spicy stew like karahi, I skipped it this time. I would also try Palak gosht, a hearty mutton curry.
