    Steak bites + side Caesar
    Godwin T.

Venue 5/5 Lots of parking in the plaza and in front od restaurant. Wheel chair accessible, wave to open doors. Giant bar in middle of restaurants. We went on weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather on their patio. The patio is quite large, with shade and TVs. There are lots of booths for large groups as well. Service 3/5 It wasn't too busy when we went on a weekend (2pm). There were only a few other tables seated outside with us, but the waitress took quite a bit of time to get our orders in for the drinks and then come out with the drinks before she came back to take our food orders. Getting the bills at the end took too long as well so we ended up going to the bar to pay the bill. Food 4/5 The burger looked and tasted really good from what was said at our table. I had the steak bites with a side Caesar for lunch. I wish the steak was cooked a bit rarer as it was quite chewy due to it being fully cooked almost. Will come back to try their steaks alone however.

    Neat artwork out front.

Arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday for a business dinner. Multi retail type parking out front. We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and seated quickly. The dining area is warm and inviting. We did have a boisterous party seated right next to us so it was a bit loud. We got a crab cake appetizer. It has 3 in the serving and we had 5 people in our party so we added 2. The oddity. The app was $24 they then charged us $8 x 3 for 2 more. I think an error must have been made. Need to contact them. The crab cakes were average. Guess you shouldn't order crab in Vaughan Ontario. :-) I ordered the 32 oz. Ribeye for my main. It was cooked perfectly and was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this place.

I celebrated my birthday here at Chop Steakhouse in Woodbridge. Their food and drinks didn't disappoint and I loved how friendly the staff were. We ordered some appetizers like steak bites, chili garlic shrimp, and we also ordered the COMMUNITY BREAD which I highly recommend because for every order of the Winnipeg rye bread, Chop Steakhouse donates a meal to a local food bank. Let's all support this cause. For our mains we ordered the ribeye steak and steak oscar which were both perfectly cooked. We didn't order a dessert coz they gave me a cheesecake on the house coz it was my big day. We will definitely go back to this nice restaurant. They also have a heated patio that is worth checking out!

The Sangria is refreahing and fruity, but the Carajillo was our winner. Anything with coffee liqueur just tastes bomb. Because it was our first time dining there, our incredible server gave us this bread and dip appetizer that was super yummy, we tried to savour it throughout dinner and cleaned it. Birria spring rolls tasted as amazing as it sounds. Having the tender meat with the crispy wrapper soaked in the consume was incredible. We just wish there was more of it lol. Chili Garlic Shrimp was seasoned so nicely amd the sauce was so good, we asked our server for more bread to dip in that sauce. Now the steaks. They were cooked to perfection. The smoked ribeye smelled like a ham. It's tasty but it can quickly get old. We preferred the classic ribeye out of the two. Mashed potatoes were perfectly smooth and buttery. The fries were crispy and paired well with their housemade ketchup. Our server was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our whole dining experience. We'd definitely be back here again.

This review is for the newly opened Chop Steakhouse on 181 University Ave (financial district) Beautifully decorated new multi-level restaurant in the financial district, spacious seating offering you somewhat privacy to other diners. Outdoor patio in process of being built for those who like dining all fresco, woohoo. My party of 4 were lock and loaded and prepared for the food Armageddon coming out way. Started off with a platter of East coast and West coast oysters, so fresh it felt like I was smacked in the face by Aquaman. No offense but West coast got my attention. A beet & goat cheese and an avocado shrimp salad eased my guilt on the meat extravaganza that was to come The New York steak was absolutely cooked to medium rare perfection seared to a nice slightly salty crust, deserves a chef's kiss. Prime rib was juicy and tender and also came out a perfect medium rare, not like those hideously gray colored overcooked prime ribs in other wannabe steak places where the prime rib offered is an after thought. Who orders a fish dish in a steak house, well me the infamous disruptive diner ordered the miso Salmon. Salmon was cooked to my preference, not dry it was actually moist, tender and flakey. Miso flavor was very light. The Prime beef dip was basically a huge slab of prime rib in a crusty baguette with a side ramekin of exquisite beef dipping gravy. Finished this exceptionally excellent lunch with their pineapple upside down cake w/ vanilla ice cream, sticky toffee parfait and their dessert trio ( creme brulee. NY cheesecake w/ raspberry compote and a flourless chocolate torte). My god, if you're a dessert lover, you just landed in the promise land. Special props to our server Naomi Chang who catered to our nitpicky requests always with a smile. She refilled our drinks without our asking, gave us individual finger wash ramekins to cleanse our greasy fingers, basically catered to our needs as the Kardashians to all their ex-husbands This Chophouse location is a winner, as Timbuk 3 would say...... Had the prime rib dinner, it was cooked to perfection and very enjoyable; my baked potato was slightly undercooked. Full bar with a handful of craft offerings. Inside is warm and comfortable. Service was excellent!

Reservations made on Open Table, seated straight away for a lovely Anniversary dinner with attentive service and good food. The Tempura app was great (not low carb) and the Top Sirloin amd Fillet Mignon were well cooked. Above all else, the team acknowledged our special day with an amazing trio of desserts on the house. Reasonably priced, good service. A must try! -Zuk

+.5 for service My parents took me to Chop during my last visit to the GTA. Normally they're not huge on chain steakhouses, but for some reason they raved a lot about this place. The interior looks really upscale. We came on a quiet night, so it was extremely spacious for the three of us. We had the french onion soup, crab cakes, meatball with sunday sauce, and prime rib. Overall I found the food to be good, but nothing otherworldly. Given the price point, decor, and my parents positive feedback about this place, my expectations were set quite high, but personally I didn't find a huge difference between this place and The Keg. Service was good though, though it better have been given it wasn't busy at all that night.

Amazing food and ambience! The service was great! I had a great time with my family celebrating my Birthday! The steak was one of the bests I've ever tasted! I highly recommend Chilly Garlic Shrimp and Escargot Stuffed Mushrooms for appetizer! Can't forget the taste!

Came here for a Monday evening dinner. (Scroll to bottom for a TLDR version) Service was great, we were seated promptly and our server was really nice. Ambiance was really pleasant as well. From the lighting to the decoration, you could see a lot of thought was made into creating a nice atmosphere. They even have a "seating" waiting area by the washrooms which I really appreciate. Okay, for food. We ordered the mushroom and escargots, miso glazed salmon and smoke rib eye. The escargots were really yummy and the bread it came with was perfect when it came to pairing with the escargots. With the miso glazed salmon, I liked the way they cooked the salmon. The miso glaze was subtle but it really allowed the salmon to come through. The and wild rice pilaf the seasonal vegetables were great with the salmon as well. The zucchini was well seasoned and cooked and the rice, although on the blander side of things was nice in terms of texture and fluffiness. My partner ordered a smoked rib eye, medium rare with mash potatoes roasted garlic and shallots. The cut of the meat was a little chewy (hence only the 4 stars) but it was still beautifully cooked. The star of the show was definitely the garlic and shallots. The caramelization allowed for the natural sweetness of the garlic and shallots to come through and really compliment the steak. To end of the night we ordered a mini New York cheesecake that was served with blueberry sauce. The blueberries were fresh, tart and was nice touch to contrast the heaviness of the cheesecake. I loved how you could order a "mini" version of dessert to end the night so you still get to satisfy that sweet tooth or to try more variations. I would definitely come back to try more of their food. P.S. Pro tip: Ask for the bar or patio seats if you want to enjoy their happy hour menu. It is from 3 pm- 6pm and also 9 pm - close (12 am) TLDR: Great service. Amazing decor. Quality ingredients. Would come back.

Chop Steakhouse definitely knows how to handle beef, but it is a little pricier. Slow roasted prime rib is a lot of work and time, so I think it's worth eating out, especially when they cooked it to perfect, very tender! Steak was also nicely cooked to medium rare and with a generous portion of vegetables. Service was good, considering our waitress also had a large party to serve, she made sure we didn't wait to long if we needed her. Also i like this location cause it's spacious and tables have some privacy, some patio seatings too.

The endless tableside-carved meats were all cooked medium-rare and incredibly tender especially the parmesan filet mignon was a standout, and the grilled pineapple was the perfect sweet balance that never disappoint. They also have shrimps, cornbread, and cheeseballs, but these didn't come around as often, so it's worth asking your server if you want to make sure you get some. Sides and appetizers are now ordered via QR code, which makes it way too easy to keep adding more to your table. Dessert option was slim with only gelato as your only option, but the texture wasn't exactly gelato but still a nice sweet finish to the meal. One small note: we were seated at the very beginning of the dining area, so every time the doors opened a cold draft came through, which made things slightly less comfortable, especially for his parents. Overall, the service was attentive, the atmosphere lively, and it was a memorable night celebrating family. Just be mindful of where you're seated and don't be shy to request the special items from your server. Yes the price may scare you off ($75-$80/ person) but the meats alone make it worth it.

I decided to try the latter. Frankly, I hadn't visited either. Prior to this visit, the only Bâton Rouge location that I have visited is the one in Dorion-Vaudreuil. It's smack in the middle of a bunch of box stores. I would stop by before and after visiting Montreal. I loved it. I hope that it's still there. I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was straightforward to find. It was a hot day. There was shaded parking in front of the eatery. I backed into a spot and walked in. I was greeted by a young woman. I stated that I was dining by myself. For some reason, she made settings for two people. My server was extremely attentive and nice. She removed the extra place setting. I let her know that I had a coupon. She nodded. Prices at Bâton Rouge have gone up since I last dined at one. The best bang for your buck is the prix fixe menu. You pick a main entrée. It comes with soup or salad, and the dessert of the day. I got the top sirloin with lobster tail. I chose tomato rice soup. I got truffle fries for an extra $3 as my side. The dessert of this Saturday was New York-style cheesecake with raspberry sauce. I started off with a Diet Pepsi with a lime wedge. It was icy cold and yummy. The lime was a nice touch. I got a refill a bit later. My server was excellent. My tomato rice soup came out next. I got oyster crackers with it. This soup was delicious. It was comforting and the perfect starter, especially with the oyster crackers in it. My main came out. It looked as yummy as it tasted. I don't remember the last time I had steak and lobster at a restaurant. It was likely before the pandemic. This combo was awesome! I got my sirloin medium-well. It was exactly how I liked it. It was a bit pink inside, but tender enough to cut through it with a steak knife. It was yummy and seasoned nicely. The lobster tail was awesome. It was juicy and enjoyable to eat. The clarified butter was so good. I dunked everything in it. I would wear clarified butter if it were a perfume. The truffle fries were good. I felt that the cheese on top wasn't necessary. All it needed were the fries and the truffle oil. The cheese drowned out everything, so I moved some of it off to the side. The fries and truffle oil were yummy together once the cheese got a backseat. I also dunked my fries into the clarified butter. My dessert came after I was done with my main. I love New York-style cheesecake. This one was creamy and dense. Sometimes, you don't want a heavy graham cracker crust. Sometimes, you want more raspberry sauce. This cheesecake satisfied my dessert craving. It was divine. Another server came over to help me settle my bill. My original server was on a break -- a much deserved one. I showed her my coupon. It was an interactive artificial intelligence-based coupon. It asked me a bunch of questions, such as how much my bill was before taxes, my table number, restaurant location, and more. I was glad to hand it over to my server to fill out Why can't it be simple? My second server needed help applying this discount to my bill, so I got to meet the manager. He asked me how everything was as he was working on my bill. He was nice and got my discount applied. It took quite the effort to apply my coupon. I was glad when it was all done. I paid with a credit card. All was great! I used the washroom before I left. It was clean and spacious. I got to say goodbye to my original server before I headed out the door. I thanked her for everything and wished her a great day. I had a wonderful meal. I wouldn't come here regularly because it'll break your bank. However, if you want to treat yourself or celebrate a special occasion, come here. The service was wonderful and the food was yummy. (356)

The server, food runner, hostesses- our table was ready right on time which is always a pleasant surprise when you're coming in on a busy weekend! The cheesecake was also very good as well as the cauliflower (although there was definitely more breading then cauliflower). The shrimp skewers were also well cooked! Now in terms of the other items, as a big table we got plenty of apps including the tuna tartar and spinach dip- tar tar was mediocre, spinach dip was definitely a let down sadly. Mains- I got the cod which I found maybe a little overcooked- the accompanying sides with the fish were tasty but the fish was just hard to get down. My partner had the salmon and enjoyed it. Our table also had a few steaks, ribs and the shrimp skewers- everything was good but nothing to write home about. Would I go back? Probably not - although that cinnamon bun was truly amazing, everything else was definitely a let down.

The best thing we ate that night was the complimentary bread - very similar to Yorkshire pudding. The wagyu fried rice was flavourful. The appetizers were mid and the Chef's Tasting steaks were ok albeit served lukewarm. The 30 days aged 32 oz bone in ribeye was extremely disappointing. It was very chewy and difficult to eat. Lots of fat and tough veins in the steak - it was not quality and definitely not worth $302. We didn't even eat half of it. Our server asked us if we wanted to pack it and we said no because it was disappointing and difficult to eat. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

I got to the plaza with Nations grocery store anchoring it. Where do I go next? Well, my prayers were answered when a nice person from COAST called me and said that my order was ready. He let me know that COAST is in The Moose, which is a Firkin pub. Yes, direction! I thanked him and parked closer to the pub. The Moose looks new and modern. It has patio heaters and is open for dining in, as is many eateries in York region now. I was greeted by a nice man. He asked for my order number. I could smell the fries through my mask. I was so excited and I headed over to my car. I got home and had dinner. I bought more than I could down, so I have leftovers today that I look forward to having I had a container full of salad. The PEI lobster roll was camouflaged by it. You can choose fries or salad as your side. Considering that I was going for free COAST fries, I settled for salad. I loved how much salad I got. The veggies were crisp and fresh. All I heard was my crunching on them. The salad dressing had balsamic vinegar, but it was subtle and didn't have a ton of sugar. I liked it a lot. My lobster roll was good. The lobster had generous chunks of real lobster in aioli, with chives and seasoning. Yum! The downside was the bun. The brioche bun needed to be softer and perhaps grilled more with butter. It would have made the experience nicer. It was a smaller roll than I had hoped for $20, but I had so much food that it was minor. What surprised me the most were the crispy COAST shrimp. They were super crispy. They had a bit of spice. The baby arugula balanced out the spiciness. I thoroughly enjoyed how crispy the whisper-thin batter coating each shrimp was. Perfection! I got the COAST fries on the house. The fries tasted so homemade, as if I had cut the fries myself, and someone did a better job at deep-frying them. It had Grana Padano cheese that I had never had. It tasted like parmesan, but milder. I loved it with the spicy aioli and chives. I love chives so much. I normally don't enjoy eating fries as a side, but I could do these any day. I have been good lately by not going overboard with desserts. However, I couldn't resist getting the crème brûlée cheesecake. Sadly, my slice got tossed around a tad in the container, so the pointy part of the slice was smashed. However, I ate it all, even with the whipped cream puddle next to it. I enjoyed this cheesecake slice a lot. It wasn't terribly sweet. The berry coulis on top provided a nice tartness and contrast. The crust was thin. The cheesecake was creamy and you could taste the beautiful crème brûlée flavour in each bite. It's a winner! I am eyeing the PEI lobster poutine, and COAST surf and turf burger next. I had a great experience. Prices do run steep, but it's worth treating yourself to fresh seafood and ingredients. (114)
