We ordered dark chocolate ganache and its so good! The lady was so sweet and nice. I'd recommend.

The chocolates are mostly good but not awe inspiring. Online See's candies are better. We spoke with them to get some vegan chocolates but when we went they had closed early without a note on the door. They explained they had a supply problem, they said they would have the next week and call. It's been a couple of weeks and so still no call. read more

I've never been inside, I've only ordered through GrubHub. However, the baklava is dredged in chocolate. Double, possibly triple dunked. That's not the proper way it's to be made but this is a chocolate shop so. To each their own. I had a few bites of it before I decided it was too much. Also, the slice of cheesecake was still frozen in the middle. Inedible. Which I can just leave out to thaw and problem solved of course but still annoying. These people don't seem to understand some of the basics of running a business professionally. Phone calls to the shop during business hours get a generic voice-mail: not "Hello, this is Chocolate Passion. We're unable to pick up just now. Our hours are.... " but just a robo-voice. I don't want to drive forty minutes to do business with someone who can't work a phone. The website does not have any sort of order-form, and honestly I wouldn't trust them to check and deliver digital orders anyway. read more

I've purchased chocolate here the past few years on special occasions like Valentine's Day. This morning I got there at what the internet showed as there opening time 0900. It was closed. So I waited thinking maybe the time was wrong or they were running late. Twenty minutes later I noticed the lights coming on and checked my watch, time 0920. So I gave them till 0930 and while walking up I seen someone walking into the back. I tried the door again and It was still locked. I waited a couple of minutes and never seen them again so I rang their door bell.....nothing. Waited a few more minutes and rang it again. A couple more minutes and knocked on the door, still nothing. It was 0940 and decided to leave. What a waste of time!!!! Folks you need to make sure published times are correct online. Also, maybe set an alarm on your phone so you open your doors on time so on days like today you don't have customers standing outside in the cold and of course leaving very disappointed. Had a day trip with my Husband to Conroe and we stumbled across this local chocolataire that is Venezuelan owned with their chocolate made in house. We went here on a Saturday at about 7pm. The staff were surprised that we requested a menu and then came back with a sheet of paper. We did not want a sandwich or salad so we got carrot cake to-go. The guy at the register didn't know what he was doing and topped off our feeling of unease. Maybe we came at a bad time... I don't know but I did not feel welcome. BUT the carrot cake was the best I have ever had! So moist and the frosting was perfect- soft, sweet but not to sweet, and creamy. read more

Moderately priced under $10 per plate all with nice presentations makes this small restaurant a great lunch or dinner spot. They also offer a variety of hot and cold drinks, I had the strawberry smoothies, a bit sweet but good none the less. Desserts around $5 are delicious, I had the key lime pie and chocolate mouse cake. If the meal was too filling they also sell chocolate prices which are quite good, unfortunately I don't recall which ones I had. Easily my favorite chocolate place in Conroe. I love dark chocolate and am always looking for good spots in the greater Houston area. Has delicious chocolate desserts equal if not better to those in HOUSTON. Friendly staff and clean. Seems like a hidden "chocolate shop" out of a movie. read more

I have tried to check this place out - i have been at many different times but one stands out --- around 7pm one evening and was surprised the door was locked and the person inside just stared at me - I was disappointed and embarrassed. I would rather embrace the positive opposed to negative. Unfortunately, this will not be the case in this instance. I have had chocolates here before and they are very good. I took my daughter after school. After ordering a chocolate cake, two waters and some other various exquisites, I separately rung in an additional order for a Tres Leches cupcake while my daughter patiently waited for about 7 min. Back up slightly - getting this chocolate cake and a few chocolates order down successfully was almost near rocket science. She had already finished her chocolates before I got to sit down with the cake and cupcake. My cake was awesome and the truffles were nice too. As she was eating the cupcake she was slightly complaining about the taste. I simply thought it was just her complaining. Then she showed me the center of the warm cupcake and there seemed to be a cool green scientific experiment accumulating in the center. I tasted it and quickly spit it out. Yes, mold grows in moist products after 6 days !!!! No telling how long that had been stored because there was a nice blue green fuzzy color going on inside the cupcake. I was refunded and traded a bag of chips. Then our water finally makes it to us 15 min too late. So much for an after school special. Overall experience- 3.6 out of 10. The chocolate cake and truffles were good. Service runs on turtle speed Ultimate fail for her cupcake Maybe to return in a few months if I don't think about this experience. read more

I was convinced to use Amazing Flavors Cakes based out of this place for my wedding. I was hesitant at first because I was not impressed with the photos but I went to the tasting anyway. The flavors are not "amazing", they are the most basic box cakes you can get, but some of the newer pictures the owner, Florencia, had looked good so I went ahead and placed an order. I never heard anything from them again until my wedding day. They delivered the cakes about 30 min before I was supposed to walk down the aisle so of course I didn't have time to see it while it was delivered to refuse it or make a complaint. When I finally did see them I almost started crying right there, and not the good tears. These cakes looked like a five year old working at Walmart made them. We were charged $250 for each cake and they shouldn't have even cost $75 and thats just for the material used. They were supposed to add flowers that we had there, which wasn't done, and the decorations were not even close to what we were supposed to get. I was told I would be charged extra for the grooms cake since it would be a carved cake. It was literally an 1/2 sheet cake with black fondant over it. Nothing was carved on it. After trying to speak with the owner of the wedding venue and getting no response I called them directly. When I asked for Florencia the woman on the phone was very rude and basically was yelling at me from the start. All I asked for was her number and she refused to give it to me. I was finally able to track her number down and called her. She seamed very apologetic and told me she had been in the hospital the week before and some of the shop assistants had to put my cake together. If this had been told to me I could have made last minute plans as Myself and a few other family members are cake decorators. We didn't want to have to deal with this so that we could relax and focus on really enjoying the wedding. She said she would look at the pictures and get back to me. I never heard from her again. Two weeks later I decided to call her back. She told me she spoke to the "owner" a man named Terri, who I had never heard of until now, I asked Florencia who this Terri was and she said he was the owner of Chocolate Passion. I don't see how he even matters in this situation since I ordered my cake through Amazing Flavors, her company that supposedly just uses there building. He said that absolutely not would he give a refund since I should have said something that day or refused the cake. I had no time to see it until they were long gone and the so called "wedding coordinator" that owns Shepard Hill Estates (DO NOT BOOK THERE) did nothing she was supposed to and barely even looked at it. My brother had to hunt her down to even get her to pay the poor girl who delivered it. Do Not waste your time with Chocolate Passion or Amazing Flavors by Florencia. I don't live in that area so I trusted my wedding coordinator opinion. I should have stuck with my gut feeling. After some research there are plenty of more professional cake decorators in that area as well as in The Woodlands who will deliver and actually take the time to communicate with you, treat a bride the way she should be treated and have much better prices and way better quality. Trust me take the time to do your research and find someone that will be best for you, don't just settle. read more
