The image shows a black metal retail display shelf with multiple tiers, containing assorted candies, toys, and small gift items. The top tier features wrapped chocolate gummi bears and cinnamon bears, each priced at $7.99, with signs indicating flavors and prices. The middle tiers hold small white boxes labeled as '4pc Assorted Truffle Box' and '4pc Milk Truffle Box,' priced at $4.99. The lower shelves display small plastic bags labeled 'Ballerina,' 'Spotted Cat,' and 'Spotted Dog,' each costing $2.99, along with miniature musical instruments like a keyboard, violin, and music note, priced at $1.99 each. A bowl at the bottom contains gold coins, priced at 25 cents each. The background includes a white brick wall and a window with blinds.

On any given Saturday, you can anticipate that I will get a wild idea to do a taste test. This particular weekend, it was all about the cherry cordial. So I set out to a few local shops to gather my subjects and take them home for the experiment. This was my first time into the Chocolate Cottage, so instead of rushing in to get my chocolate and hitting the road, I spent a few minutes browsing the inventory. I have been on a quest over the last few weeks for sugar free chocolate for my dieting wife, and have turned up empty handed-until today! I was so excited to see the huge selection of sugar free options. I left with a mint chocolate for her-which she later raved about. We will surely be back for more! In case you're wondering, the cherry cordial from here beat the one I got from Rebecca's. And they have toffee and chocolate covered grape samples, which I appreciated. I've never had a chocolate covered grape before, and I'm now a fan.

First time stepping into this place, seen it as long as I have Rebeccas and my dad was craving some chocolate so we stopped in. They had a large selection of chocolates, and a few samples on a plate. Also allowed us to try some chocolate covered grapes which I found very interesting and delicious. Their toffee was just okay and a little too sweet for my liking. The milk chocolate assorted truffles were 50-50, 2 were great and the other 2 were a bit old. My dad loved the $3.99 single chocolate covered strawberry. Prices are extremely high here and for the quality I don't think it meets up to the expectations. Probably will return to try their seafoam and chocolate dipped grapes but not sure anything else is of interest.

I received a small box of candy from a friend. Today I opened them and passed them around. Those who tried one...well ...their faces said it all!!! Per friends....Orange cream had an after taste-nasty, smelled orange and looked like someone almost put their finger thru the bottom???, the Chocolate cashew was good and the Carmel was bitter? . I decided I should try a couple...chocolate with coconut was ok, ? Vanilla cream-- I thought was a cherry...absolutely no flavor. Overall the chocolate tastes old. Big waste of money. You should re-evaluate ... for heaven sake taste it. It's NASTY.

Chocolate. Covered. Grapes. Honestly, these things are out of this world. The shop is cute and has a variety of chocolates and candies for you to peruse. We looked around a bit but we really came for one reason only: the grapes. It's a good thing we don't live in Utah otherwise we would be here all the time! Also grabbed some dark chocolate covered espresso beans. The woman working was super nice too. Highly recommend!!

I've been thinking a lot about the importance of chocolate in my life. I mean, I don't think anyone would argue that chocolate is absolutely the most important thing all of the time, but I'll make a fierce argument that chocolate is the most important thing some of the time. Sometimes it's top priority. Chocolate is actually something quite sacred, so I've been giving this a lot of thought. What I do know is this: good chocolate is really rare. You can find run-of-the-mill stuff wherever you go. Pick some up where it's inexpensive and convenient, take it home, rip into it. You'll regret it later. It's not the worst thing that you can have, but why settle for average when there is extraordinary chocolate out there? Here's the problem. Finding that rare, really good chocolate is difficult. And what "good" means to some people is completely unacceptable to others. For me, good chocolate is about an appreciation for the stuff. Sure, you've got to have quality ingredients. But what about creativity? What about putting it together and mixing up ingredients that you might not ever have thought of? Sometimes that works (bless the man or woman who involved peanut butter because the peanut butter cups were terrific) and sometimes it's not your cup of tea. I tried a chocolate covered grape, and loved that they would experiment like that but probably would try something different next time. I'm not sure if they're using single-origin pure cacao--that's not really their focus. It's more about providing variety, experimentation, adventure, and something unique. And also the old standbys that never get old. They're known for their toffee, which never goes out of style and can be just the right kind of chocolate at the end of a long day. I had two pieces. I'd like to have at least that many a day for the rest of my life, thankyouverymuch. Chocolate like this doesn't come cheap. My four small pieces came to just over $4, but it's well worth the sacrifice for my mouth and belly (and whole body, really) to be that happy. When you find chocolate that speaks to your soul, you don't just nix the idea because you don't want to spend a few extra bucks. Drop the dough and be happy, I say. Seriously. I've concluded that chocolate is indeed, that important. A word of warning. This adorable little shop can titillate your imagination and lead to an overindulgence of cocoa consumption. There's a time and a place to indulge in the milk (or dark) chocolate pleasures of life, and if you drive by before dinner you'll ruin your appetite. When it calls to you from the road, you're going to want to give in. Resist the temptation. Don't ruin your supper! If you must, stop in to buy all the chocolate you want, then put it in a sealed bag and promise yourself you'll wait until after dinnertime. Be strong!

This place has a fantastic variety of chocolates to choose from! They definitely get creative with the chocolate from their molds to the options! They offer samples and send you out with a chocolate covered grape. Almond Toffee - loved that the almonds tasted slightly toasted in the toffee! White Chocolate, Cinnamon Caramel - it was absolutely wonderful! The caramel was nice and soft and I enjoyed the taste of the chocolate and cinnamon with it! Dark Chocolate Truffle - I have to say I was disappointed with this... I have a huge appreciation for dark chocolate, especially truffles. The dark chocolate wasn't very strong (or bitter which sometimes adds to the richness) and the truffle part was a bit on the dry side. I prefer my truffles to melt in my mouth when I eat them vs. crumble. Chocolate with Peanut Butter? - this legitimately was as odd to me... The inside was soft, but tasted more like PB flavoring maybe? What I mean is that, it was like eating chocolate with a hint of peanut butter vs having actually peanut butter in the middle. Another unfortunate disappointment.

This local chocolate shop has amazing fresh dipped fruit! It is well worth a visit, especially for the chocolate grapes. My husband and I live about 5 minutes away and a box of chocolate grapes has become a common treat we pick up almost every weekend.

Orange creme filling about broke my tooth.

Candy takes most of us back to our childhood, so it's appropriate that the theme here is "retro." Along with candy from yesteryear, there are cool vintage looking signs and knick knacks for collectors. There are also tons of glass bottles of soda-the kind that you probably grew up drinking, or wish you had. Leatherby's ice cream (arguably the best out there) is served here as well. Want chocolate? Yup, plenty of decadent chocolates as well as a mouth-watering assortment of caramel apples. Really, there's something for everyone. If you don't find something here that you like, I would really question your level of contentment in life. I docked a star for a couple things. First, the location is tricky to get to. There's no direct access from the road, you have to maneuver around the building and enter from the side opposite the main road. It appears that another entrance is planned, but a temporary concrete barrier prevents it from being used until it's fully developed. So that's a challenge-one that will be resolved as the area grows and fills in. The other challenge was the customer service. There were two young ladies working there and neither of them greeting us when we entered. (It's a small enough space, and we were the only customers. It just felt awkward to walk in and start browsing while she just watched us.) When we checked out, I attempted friendly small talk and it fell flat. She wasn't rude, just not the friendly personality I'd hope to find in a local, small business. Otherwise, it's a great place and I'm sure my sweet tooth will guide me back again!
