Summary: the drinks are unique, delicious, and the ingredients are freshly prepped for each drink…read more The black sesame hojicha, mango sticky rice matcha, and pistachio latte are stand outs. The people are friendly and knowledgeable if you have questions. It's family owned. Finding it is annoying because it's in a larger corporate building and shares the space with the sandwich spot. There's plenty of parking around the area, but only a few spots right in front of the entrance. Full review: Been coming here for a little over a year. Tried almost all of their drinks, cookies, and macrons, including several of their rotating specials. I've also had their savory croffle and it was delicious. This place is BY FAR the best matcha/coffee shop I've ever had. If you are a Dutch bros or Starbucks person, you may not love it. This place is not about dumping sugar into all their drinks. Flavor comes first, sweetner is secondary. Food/Drink: I'm not the coffee drinker, my partner is, and he rates his favorite as follows: 1. Pistachio Latte 2. Fish Sauce (it has a strong caramel flavor with a little saltiness, no fish flavor) 3. Cookie Butter 4. Black Sesame He's tried every coffee on the permanent menu and these are his favorites. Now for the Matcha/Teas. I can't pick a favorite, because they're all perfect. Not too sweet, and whatever the flavor, it stands out! For example, when they had a pistachio matcha, I watched them crush pistachios for my drink specifically. The flavor was so strong and they clearly know what they're doing picking these flavor combos, because it was excellent. I also love the banana matcha, the banana pudding matcha, the mango matcha, and the double matcha. But the star is the mango sticky rice matcha. I've only had it twice because it's a WHOLE MEAL in a drink. It's delicious and unique and the flavors are outstanding. It actually has all the ingredients of mango sticky rice, including cooked rice. It's amazing!! My personal favorite drink, that I've got the last 10 times I've visited is the black sesame hojicha. It is seriously the best drink I've ever had. Right now, I think they only have the double black sesame on their menu, but I've asked for this every time since it was on their specials menu and they still make it. The cookies and macrons and AMAZING. The s'mores cookie is my absolute fave and the damn crème brûlée macron is in my top 10 desserts of all time. The savory croffle is also a surprisingly good breakfast choice. I honestly thought there is no way they could be doing all of this well, but they don't put anything on the menu that isn't delicious and well made. Service: We've been here so many times that we've been lucky enough to talk to both the husband and wife that own the place. They are so damn creative and come up with the flavors for not only the drinks, but the pastries. They are both very nice. There are a few people working the registers every time we visit and they are helpful if you have questions and they're quick to get these drinks out even though they basically prep the ingredients fresh for each drink. Location/parking: This place is a pain to find. It is across the parking lot from the bank entrance, sharing a space with a sandwich spot. There are a few parking spaces in front of the store, but the parking on the main street is free. There is a lot of seating inside and large tables for big groups. There are even plug in areas at the bar like seating along the windows. Unfortunately, they aren't open on Sundays or it would be the perfect study spot.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chocolate Bash, and it was nothing short of a divine experience! Their dessert menu, offers a mouthwatering selection of indulgent chocolate treats that cater to every sweet tooth. As a self-proclaimed chocoholic, I was in absolute heaven! The moment I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations based on my preferences. Their passion for chocolate and customer service was truly evident, and it made the experience that much more enjoyable. The desserts I tried were nothing short of exquisite. Each bite was a perfect symphony of flavors and textures, masterfully crafted to create a memorable chocolate experience. I particularly enjoyed the Chocolate Fondue, which featured a velvety, rich chocolate sauce and an assortment of fresh fruits and marshmallows for dipping. The Chocolate Lava Cake was also divine, with its molten chocolate center and the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Not only were the desserts exceptional, but the cleanliness of Chocolate Bash was top-notch. The establishment was spotless from the dining area to the restrooms. It was evident that the staff took great pride in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for their patrons. In summary, my visit to Chocolate Bash was an unforgettable experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. The tantalizing desserts, exceptional customer service, and immaculate cleanliness make it a must-visit for any dessert lover. I wholeheartedly give Chocolate Bash a well-deserved 5-star rating and cannot wait for my next visit to indulge in more chocolate bliss! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Chocolate Bash. The customer service was extremely poor, staff were rude, dismissive, and not welcoming at all. What really stood out was how they handled a simple request from my son. He asked to use the restroom just to wash his hands, and we were told it was "out of service." However, it was clear the restroom was fully functional. When we politely asked, the employee rolled her eyes. It's frustrating to be treated this way, especially over something so basic. A little kindness and professionalism would go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

TL;DR: - Perfected taiyaki batter (light crispy exterior w/ satisfyingly chewy, almost mochi-like, interior) - Dole whip pretty much comparable to the one at Disneyland - Docked a star for the painfully-basic soft-serve ice cream flavor options overall (at the time that I visited, the matcha option was swapped with chocolate) ---------- I got the ahboong (fish-shaped waffle cone on top of soft-serve ice cream). Vanilla/dole whip swirl was my soft-serve ice cream choice and I had custard as the waffle filling (I actually don't really recommend this waffle/soft-serve flavor combo.....I already knew this ahead of time but I wanted to try the custard and the dole whip in one visit.....more about this in a bit). The taiyaki (the fish waffle) batter is pretty much perfected here. Light crispy exterior with a thick yet satisfyingly chewy, almost mochi-like, interior (ultimate ASMR experience). I really liked it a lot.....I might even consider the one here being better than the one at that *other* place that specializes in ahboong and also has a two-word-repeat business name. As for the custard, it's basic but gets the job done. Yes, I've had the dole whip at Disneyland, and, yes, the dole whip here is pretty comparable to the one at that theme park. I'm not the biggest fan of dole whip (it's a bit too tart for me.....if you're not in the know, dole whip is essentially soft-serve ice cream made with pineapple juice). I had the dole whip/vanilla swirl and I can't imagine how extra tart the full-blown dole whip here is. The dole whip's tartness doesn't go well with the taiyaki (ordering just soft-serve ice cream is an option here, but for ahboong-first-timers, I suggest pairing the fish with a soft-serve ice cream flavor that is more on the creamy-tasting side). Nonetheless, if you're missing on Disneyland's dole whip, your craving will be satisfied here. Overall pretty good ahboong. Stellar taiyaki. I docked a star because of the painfully-basic soft-serve ice cream flavor library (the matcha flavor option was swapped with chocolate at the time that I visited). Though, I suppose the basic variety of flavors is understood as the business stand is located right in front of the Marshalls entrance (I saw passerby confused with the whole ahboong concept).
