Specialty colors of m&m's & Jelly Belly flavors are by the staircase
    Alma S.

We were greeted immediately when we entered, welcomed, & able to freely browse a huge variety of sugary treats. They offer candy shop staples, tons of taffy, lots of Pez dispensers, chocolate confections, Mexican candies, old timey sweets, novelty items, candied bugs, & more. Found new items & flavors of candy I never knew existed! They had dispensers for specialty m&m colors and Jelly Belly flavors, though the area was a bit cramped behind a staircase. The check out experience was good. We were kindly given a freebie candy necklace that made little one happy. Personal issue here--I'm not a fan of clowns, let alone evil looking ones, so having a life-size figure loom from the second story loft creeped me out. It took away from a happy-go-lucky candy experience. Be warned if you also have such a phobia.

Visited July 17th..see my receipt. This candy store is located in Old downtown Sacramento (waterfront). It's a really big store with alot of nostalgic candy. This place is OPEN until 10pm and that's one of the reasons they stay so busy! Most of the candy shops in this area close by 6pm. You could spend alot of time in here looking at all their goodies! I bought some gummy bears...chocolate...watermelon slices and this really interesting freeze dried ice cream sandwich (the kind Astronauts would use). The freeze dried ice cream sandwich was almost 10 bucks but I thought it would be cool to try! The employees seem to be generally having a good time and the customers seem to be excited to go down memory lane and find candies they grew up on! Always a fun experience!

Lovely vacancy shop in the middle of Old Sac with a phenomenal food / candy selection , excellent customer service and an ambiance taking me back to local candy stores where I grew up in the Bay Area . The customer service was especially fantastic with the employee accommodating my request for individually bagging 8 different types of chocolate and patiently labeling each one for my wife who has allergies. Above and beyond and worthy of a well deserved 5 star review

There were no prices on some of the candies available. It was quite expensive for how little candy you were getting. The honey sticks were cool, there's lots of flavors I've never seen before. Some candy buckets did not have expiration dates, not sure if they were safe to eat. No samples were given. No interaction with staff until we paid. We parked in a paid parking structure nearby.

This is such a cute candy store! Literally a "Candy Heaven". They had candies from my childhood that brought back nostalgic feelings. Workers were welcoming and allow you to just browse around until you need help anything. In the picture: Found limited edition pocky I never seen for my mom and brother, and bought other sweet treats. Total came to $50 something and cashier gave us 2 free postcards and a magnet. :)

As the name states, it's Candy Heaven! ;) The place has everything, from sour to sweet to chocolate and beyond. The options are unlimited, and the service is great - the guy running the place is a blast, giving our free candy and challenges to the kids every few minutes. :) The ambiance is fun, it's a wild and goofy place, but I'd certainly recommend to stop in if you're in the area and have a sweet tooth!

The store lives up to it's name, "Candy Heaven". So many nostalgic candies. I had a blast looking around and reliving the days of my youth! Barrels and barrrels of candy. Bit of honey, peanut batter candies, taffy, carmels, chewing gum... everything! We got there as it opened. The cashier was very friendly and greeted us. Already lots of patrons, browsing and buying. Prices are comparable. Had a great time at this candy stores. What a fun time reliving the past and bringing it to the present. Loved the experience!

After one step in the door Darrin, the original owner greeted us and added his signature "have a sweet day". We have just come from two other candy stores and in retrospect we only needed to go to "Candy Heaven" He offered to get us a basket and when we checked out I asked about a specific candy and rather than pointing or directing he went and found it and brought it to me. Great ambience and I noted that he greeted everyone with the same welcoming enthusiasm. He sells merch and ships. I have a friend in the candy biz and that it sweet!

No trip to Old Town Sacramento is complete without visiting Candy Heaven! The staff are always super friendly. You walk in and it's wall to wall candies of all kinds. I love their salt water taffy and my kids love all their different chocolates. It's a hidden gem that definitely needs to be on your list!

All the candy you can imagine and more! Everything from your youth to the candles if today.

Stopped by this amazing candy store while visiting Old Sacramento. All the candies you could possibly imagine. I found candy I haven't seen since I was a kid! The staff is friendly and fun! If you are lucky you might even get a free piece! Stop by to get you fix on everything sweet!

Super cute store with friendly and helpful staff. This is a tourist destination so the candy is heavily overpriced. Example, honey sticks are 4/$1 at the farmers market. They are $1.25 a piece here. Candy Heaven is located by the Merry Go Round. There are several candy stores in the area so it can get confusing. They have an extensive assortment of candy. There is something for everyone. They also have chocolate and taffy.

Just take a step back into the days of old where we had all types of candy. Some no longer in popular production any longer from root beer barrels, candy cigarettes, gold nuggets gum to astronaut candy. Just fun exploring the store.

A hidden gem in Sacramento for chocolate lovers…read more The store is family owned and run, and they get business through word of mouth only. So it shouldn't be surprising that the interior of their store looks a bit dated and not exactly Instagram worthy. They're focused on making good chocolate. Still, I was charmed by the unique experience of choosing a box of custom chocolates and getting selection advice from the daughter of the man who made those chocolates. The chocolates were placed in a beautiful flowered box and tied with gold ribbon. And the price? $10 for 8 pieces. If that wasn't already enticing enough for you... they let you choose a free sample for yourself as well. I'll definitely be back!
